Even if Amosun decides to work for his party, that he will deliver the whole of Ogun central is shaky.
Ifo LG has the highest population in that zone (and likely the highest number of wards from documents i have seen) and the LG has very close tie with the Aworis though they are Egba.

The LG used to be Ifo/Ota LG. I strongly doubt they will vote for an Ijebu man. Also coupled with the fact that Oga ade neglected their border towns and didnt complete the project he started, so he is not in their good books.

Then Ewekoro LG also has close tie with Yewa, due to proximity mainly, so they also share the Yewa lokan campaign. It's going to be a tough call in ogun central.

I sincerely hope GNI plays his game well this time. He should find one core ijebu man who is good in grassroot politics as his running mate. Cos that's the only hope for ogun west in the coming election.

Olabisi Onabanjo Ijebu/Remo

Olusegun Osoba Egba/Egbado

Gbenga Daniel Ijebu/Remo

Ibikunle Amosun Egba/Egbado

it is the turn of Ijebu/Remo.

GNI have a chance like scenario that played out in 2011.

There's nothing like Egba/Egbado it's actually 'Yewa/Awori'.

Ogun East: Ijebu/Remo
Ogun Central: Egba
Ogun West: Yewa/Awori/Egun.

An Egba man does not necessarily represent the interest of the Yewa/Awori people just like it is being played out in this administration.

Alagba caseless , what is happening in ogun APC is nothing but a sham. Both amosun and Dapo camp are playing dangerous game in ogun state.

There is no primary election held anywhere in ogun state and I stand by this claim 100% . I still wonder how the two camps come about the figures been brandished all about. I am in Abeokuta and will surely if truly a primary election was conducted.

Though I'm happy the governor lost out in this game but the yearnings in Ogun state is for someone from Ogun west to be the governor and Dapo is unfortunately from Ogun East which have already produced 2 governors in the state.

Whatever happens in APC is not our biz. There is a yewa man called GNI in another party called ADC. He has wronged no one and it's begining to look like he has a mind of his own, at least for now. GNI should just up his game.

I know you are Egba you have made that clear. what you have been ignoring is that If Amosun had allowed the YEWA elders to choose their own candidate instead of imposing Akinlade, whoever emerged would have united the different APC factions and most likely emerged because the sentiments are there for Ogun West

Those elders kept going to Amosun's office. I don't know what they were looking for upandan. Shey they have found it now.

Who ever told them Amosun can determine the next gov does not like them. Sebi they said 'once bitten twice shy'. They refuse to learn from Olurin/GNI saga.

If only they had encouraged the 4 to 5 yewa contestants to slug it out at the primaries against ijebu contestants if any, while Amosun works underG for his prefered candidate, the story would have been different. But no, agidi will not allow, he wants to be jagaban.

YES, IT IS THE TURN OF OGUN WEST. Eniyan kan ki je ki ile fe. If governors from egba and ijebu have been enriching their pockets and families, let a yewa man too do the same. Ori o ju ori.

Doyin I don't have to argue further cos it is obvious we are on the same page but we only handling issues with different glove, I quite agree with you imposition is quite bitter as volatile as Nigeria is Ogun State is one place imposition politicking don't sway. I just hope apc put its home good order just bcoz to a greater extent it has been a blessing to the state. I can see you are so bittered with this dirty politicking of theirs, I only felt if it will earn us continuity then all good and well. He (Amosu) might have permutate a that will take to advice if only he (Amosu) means well with good intentions. I like him as man and his achievements but the truth is the state and it's indigenes comes first.
Doyin are on same page here? I suspect the first female governor or president of Nigeria here.

We are on the same page bro.
Hahaha! First female gini? I am no politician, especially this kind done in naija. I cannor do jazz biko.

Doyin if I'm permitted to call you by the. First I'm an indigene of ogun state, I do understand you clearly but the truth is we should resolve our differences ourselves not abuja catching in on our differences to hijack the hierarchy of the state by imposing their own candidates on thereby controlling the affair of ogun state for four years.

Broda mi, bi iku ile o pa ni, ti ode oo le pani.
The issue is imposition of candidates has not worked in ogun state. Obj and OGD tried it and faiied. That was how Amosun became governor.

If he had not imposed his candidate on the party and sent other yewa contestants away, if he allowed a levelled playing ground for everyone, i doubt the NWC would have intervened the way they did.

GNI's imposition by OGD is what is affecting his chances till today.
I hope APC resolves the iss, but there are other options in other parties. It is not compulsory ogun votes APC.

Who dash Amosun best governor in history? So because he built bridges in Abk makes him a performer? What about the areas that are already highly populated and with industries but are left with gutter like roads everywhere?

Should we mention the models schools he built...or uncompleted bridges and roads around Agbole and environs since his first term? Is it the arrears he is owing workers we should talk about or the crisis in MAPOLY or how LG chairmen are rendered useless in his administration.

One thing I will give to him is in the area of employment to the civil service, every other thing na wash.

I'm not sure you know what you are saying. Ogun central will rather vote for GNI than vote for Dapo Abiodun besides GNI will win Ogun west because he's their best shot at producing the first Governor from that axis since the other two major political parties have opted for Ogun East candidate.

Ogun central people knows Ogun East are on a revenge mission because their Sentiments there is that Amosun only performed in Abeokuta. Ogun central feels more comfortable with GNI. ...besides ADC has structures in Ogun central they have Ward chairman everywhere.

If Apc should lose Ogun state, then Amosun, Osinbajo, Oshiomole, Osoba should be blamed.

YAYI could have been the best option

Correct analysis. Ogun west will vote sentiments not party. If GNI can up his game plan, he will win ogun west neat and divide the votes in ogun central esp Ifo LG and Obafemi owode LG. He lost only Ado-odo/ota in ogun west in the last election

It is not about nwc wanting to dictate to Ogun state. Amosu is not greedy but oshiomole is working to hijack the structure of the party for himself. This is the same confusion from all the state, the want all the governors come 2019 to be under his control hence his imposition to avoid what befell Onegin. Oshiomole has always been a devil from the days of NLC. where did the nwc conduct their primaries? on Wednesday there was no party activities in ogun.

Amosun is greedy! Leave Oshiomole out of this, we ogun state people have a mind of our own. Why insist on Akinlade when there are other credible candidates from yewa that wanted to contest on APC platform but SIA came up with the conseus thing and made other yewa contestants sign to agree with the outcome.

That is why the likes of Tolu Odebiyi could not be part of the primaries. This is all the fault of yewa elders. They would have preffered Odebiyi, but ass licking made them choose Amosun's candidate

And how much do politicians gulp monthly in terms of salary, allowances, personal, coporate, and general embezzlement?

The current problem is that those who say they are poor and love studying end up waiting on the govt after graduation and the govt is paying heavily to subsidize them through school already. If anyone is poor and love to study then that person must be studying to contribute to the workforce positively and that implies he should work and earn after graduation.
The logical thing to do for a man who plans to work with his skills is to borrow and fund his education then pay back with the proceed of his acquired skills. That's what government is proposing.

You are definitely not in touch with how things work in Nigeria. Your proposition is really annonying. This is Nigeria bro.

Do you realise that those bastardizing our educational system with dump policies are the same people who enjoyed free education, lived in a 2-man room while in school, and had employment letters handed over to them at graduation? They can't pass those down but want to finish what is left.

All those attacking OP, do you have contrary evidence to prove that the writer is lying, and that the things stated do not happen there? Or are you just being emotional about the accussations?

That thousands have graduated from the said institution without raising an eye brow does not justify the treatments if they are indeed true. It is the same 'siddon look' mentality and 'e go better' attitude of the general Nigerian populace that has brought our country to where it is. Thank God, we are begining to gather liver and have some balls.

Jesus please, come with your whip to Nigerian churches, and send out the money changers and overturn the tables of buyers and sellers. Declare your church a house of prayer not a den of thieves. Amen.

It's obvious you know little about 2011 election. Daniel wanted GNI as PDP candidate but Obasanjo didn't allow him. Olurin was picked and GNI had to move to PPN while Daniel stayed in PDP was forced to work for Olurin by Obasanjo with the threat of EFCC. You guys should get good history lessons before coming online to argue about what you know little about.

You don't live in ogun state, do you? So you think this AAA is more popular than GNI (who has been in the race since 2011) because Amosun nominated him. Ok, mo ti gbo.

Mind you GNI won most of the LGs in Ogun west in the last election except for Ado-odo/ota... He won 9 LGs in total. I am not campaging for GNI, I don't know him but remember ogun is not Lagos, we went from AD to PDP to ACN/APC. Even Amosun contested on the platform of ANPP against OGD before he won with ACN.

It is too early to make conclusions, the pulse of the people will be felt by the time campaign starts fully.

Daniel does not have any influence in Ogun East not even in Sagamu where he claimed to come from. PDP can NEVER win the Governorship election in Ogun State in 2019. They will be presenting Ladi Adebutu from Remo and he won't be getting more than Remo votes(not even the whole of Ogun East). As for GNI, the guy is only popular in Yewa North, Imeko-Afon, Ipokia and not the whole of Ogun West. With bloc votes in Ogun Central, the performance of Amosun in Ado-Odo/Ota which is the biggest local govt in Ogun West in terms of votes, there's no way APC will lose that election

Uncle, I beg to disagree. I am from Ado-odo/ota and i live there. TBH, GNI is more popular across the state than any other candidate. Mind you it is not going to be party this time but personalty.

Amosun's tenure can be termed 'Mission to Rebuild Abeokuta'. Not even a pedestrian bridge was built in ogun west throughout his tenure. He is busy demolishing buildings and building useless bridges all over Abeokuta. Scam governor.
