Please what is this pre-approval mail everyone is talking about ? Is it for just blue card holders? Or
does someone with nomal family reunion visa also need it?. Can it be gotten before the visa appointment date ahead of time? And from where can it be gotten.

We got an approval mail this week . We are currently waiting for our passports to be returned .

The pre-approval is an approval from the foreign office in Germany that ensures fast track processing for work visa. It also enables you apply and travel with your family at the same time.

I know someone that went for interview on the same day as you and was a sent a mail yesterday. I went on 16th December with my wife and we are also still waiting. My guess is it takes longer if you apply with your family.

For blue card, there is no lawyer verification in the family reunion process yeah? Like the lawyers don’t get to go to your origin and do all those long check?

Secondly will the embassy only accept court wedding documents? Do they require evidence of traditional or white wedding (for blue card holders)

For your second question. I believe your marriage certificate is enough. At least that was the only thing I submitted for mine. I went with pictures of the traditional wedding but they didn’t request for it. The interviewer will only ask questions about the relationship (how and where you met, when u proposed, etc)

Myself and family applied for long term visa and family reunion respectively, and I have pre-approval. We already did interviews and haven't received feedback till now after 3 weeks as per the immigration act.

1. Please how long should myself and spouse wait expect to receive update on our application?
2. And when we do get the request for passports and travel insurance, can we courier the documents to the embassy in Lagos since we reside outside lagos. I don't think we can all travel back to Lagos again to submit the documents.

I and my daughter applied using the Skilled Immigration act visa category. We went with the family reunion documents and also with the preapproval and power of attorney document, my husband's office got these documents for us. We had no issue at the embassy, though we are still awaiting visa approval.

My employer send me some of of agreed documents which contains work contact, rent agreement and A pre approval document from Bundesagentur fur arbeit, (ZAV). I am confused because I don't know (base on the time factor on it) waiting for 1 years plus for an appointment or Can I use (rebook)this pre approval for skill work visa which has 6 weeks or I wait for 1 year for my appointment at the embassy.
Under skill work visa I was thinking if the pre approval is what the meant then I qualify for for skilled work visa ..

For the fast track process. Your employer needs to apply to the Immigration service in their state. It’s different from ZAV approval and it costs 411 Euros

No , you don't qualify for blue card, but rather a spouse residence permit.

I applied together with my spouse. We are going for our interview on the same day. She is a skilled worker and qualifies for a Blue card
