stefikal: Primary school:Steph.. My own NL crush. |
Let....me...sign...on....this... thread. Nuf said on this issue. JOHESU's meeting at the pharmacy house on Monday and I'll get back to you. To further prove this point, a Pharmacist is the current Deputy Surgeon General by name, Rear Admiral Scott F. Gibberson, and should the current SG resigns or exit under any circumstance; Gibberson, a Pharmacist will take over the hallowed position. The system we wish to copy must be copied completely with the position made open to all medical workers. This part made me laugh. As I said on d oda thread SGF is not an exclusive doctor thing, that's one. Two, we don't need it now. Other things needs to be put in place. Most importantly is harmony btw healthcare professionals, this is priceless. SGF won't work now as much as it's a good idea. My 5 cents pere. |
Glad to see he actually didn't kill himself.. |
drnoel: clearly shows the physiotherapist don´t even know what they are fighting against. I don´t see how the office of the surgeon general can affect or enslave their activities. The surgeon general´s office can´t restrict their activities, neither can that office ban their organisation from functioning.Neither, u don't know what u're fighting for! How will SGF solve the problem facing the health sector. Moreover I found out SGF myt not necessarily be a surgeon. Then not only doctors work there, its a public health thing, even a biochemist could be there. Correct me plsss, aw would it solve our problems in d health sector? |
So the best thing to do is to come to NL to show ur frustration just because it was a tecno. Another reason I'm sure u opened this thread is FP. U got what u deserved sir. Computer Village myt not be d best place to buy a fone and not av problems wif it. Sorry for the money lost. Fones are sold everywhere as I got mine 16500 from a credible dealer. Pls deal with it, the problem is not peculiar to tecno.. Awon haturz!! |
The woman's bosom wouldn't av seen the next day if it were me. |
Well I don't av anything against the SGF office. It myt be needful but it's not the most important thing to do. The doctors are playing politics with this. That's the reason I think JOHESU will slug it off with them. Government now needs to sit with all the parties involved and arrive at a consensus. My 50 cent. |

Plsssssss Don't plssssss.. Do u av a certificate? Or any degree u can use to work. The saddest part is.. When ur breakthrough is around the corner, that's when d poverty will get to ur neck and u feel like ending ur life. If u kill urself, brother there's no hope.. It's straight to hell.. U won't even see the God u're blaming for putting u in a bias world. Moreover Yoruba says 'Akunleyan ni akunlegba, a de aiye tan. Oju nkan gbogbo wa'. Just don't!!! |

Why network providers dey do us like this?? 1gb this days seems to be more valuable than gold, or so they made it look like. Biko make dem reason our matter. |
doc sholz: JOHESU go soon join, when they do I hope Jonathan will ask them how surgeon general affects them or if they want pharmacist-general....... bunch of clownsThere are loads of pending issue Shola I suppose. This is definitely not what we need now. Goan read about the SGF office in the US. Wise thinking doctors would av demanded that budget allocation to the health sector be increased, we'd all support them, trust me. Adequate infrastructure should also be on the table and a lot more. Buh what av we? SGF *spits* |
Bertivogt: listen to yourself young man..so strikes are now being compared! What has this country turned you intoReread ops post. |
Obinoscopy: In the US, the Surgeon General reports to the Assistant Secretary for Health (Nigeria's equivalent for Minister of State for Health). So I think the bolded is wrong. This!!! |
So its just a public health thing. How does this solve our health problems? The dilapidated hospitals, dead primary care system, brain drain on the doctor side?? E fi ete sile, e lo npa lakpalapka, smh. |
What Does the Surgeon General of the United States Do? By Trisha Torrey Question: What Does the Surgeon General of the United States Do? The Surgeon General holds the highest public health position in the federal government of the United States. But few of us know what the Surgeon General does, or what his or her responsibilities are. What does the Surgeon General do? And how does it affect American citizens? Answer: The Surgeon General of the United States is appointed by the President, approved by the Senate, and oversees all public health initiatives and programs for American citizens that involve the federal government's money. His or her visibility stems from responsibilities as a spokesperson for the federal government, representing its views on public health policy and initiatives. To support these activities, the Surgeon General commands the 6400+ officers of the Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service (USPHS.) As one of the Nation's seven uniformed services (US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marines, US Coast Guard, NOAA Corps, US Public Health Service), the Commissioned Corps fulfills its mission to protect, promote and advance the health and safety of the Nation. Public health initiatives are things like smoking cessation, reducing obesity including childhood obesity, promoting vaccinations, or any programs that involve the health of the citizenry of the country. Officers of the USPHS are assigned to agencies of the Department of Health and Human Services such as the NIH, CDC, or FDA, as well other Federal agencies such as the Department of Defense or Homeland Security, plus state governments and others. When not performing in their day-to-day duty assignments, officers of the USPHS are called upon the respond to national emergencies, natural disasters and other public health crises, including international humanitarian assistance. It would seem as if most of the topics encompassed by public health and the Surgeon General would be very non-controversial. We all want improved health and safety! However, it turns out there have been many Surgeon General controversies in recent history: ........................ More From Patient Empowerment More From About .com TOP ©2014 About.com. All rights reserved. Switch to Desktop Site Menu Patient Empowerment Dr. C. Everett Koop took on the tobacco industry and AIDS beginning in the 1980s. Both stirred up a great deal of controversy, as did his previous writings about abortion. Dr. Antonia Novello was the first woman appointed to the post, in 1990. She took on a number of initiatives including whether abortion could be discussed as an option to pregnant women, plus illegal underage drinking and smoking. In 2006, Dr. Richard Carmona left the post of Surgeon General highly critical of George Bush's administration, accusing him of suppressing research findings if they conflicted with Bush's political and ideological agenda . |
Found something. With President Obama's nomination of Dr. Regina Benjamin, a primary care physician from Alabama, as the next Surgeon General of the United States, it seems like a good time to take a look at what the Surgeon General's role is in healthcare. It may surprise you to know that often the Surgeon General isn't even a surgeon! The Surgeon General of the United States leads the US Public Health Corps to oversee public health initiatives that will affect American citizens. His or her office interfaces with a dozen other health- related government offices and agencies. Public health initiatives include smoking cessation, combating obesity, encouraging vaccinations and more. The current Surgeon General is in an "acting" position. Rear Admiral and Doctor Steven Galson has been serving in that capacity since October 2007. President Obama is ready to replace Dr. Galson, who was appointed by President George Bush. Thus his nomination of Dr. Benjamin. It might seem as if such a position would be non- controversial. But that is far from the truth. After all, we all want the public to be healthy! But in the past 30 years there have been several instances of disagreement and dissention between the Surgeon General and both the President and the citizenry. With the appointment of Dr. Regina Benjamin, it would seem President Obama is hoping to allay controversy. Dr. Benjamin seems to have a worthy history of advocating for those who need help. Now we'll have to see what the Senate thinks. |
dBard: It seems it's a move by the Drs to checkmate d demands by the Joint Health Union (JOHETSU) for control and greater representation at health care boards breaking d age old tradition of Doctors bin d head of every medical institution.UKD!!! But there are more strings attached.. Les ask brother Google |
dBard: Please do explain to us wat u mean by Unnecessary Lordship ?Only a doctor can be cmd of a hospital, only a doctor can be minister of health, doctor is DG of NAFDAC. It was just last November a pharmacist was appointed into one of the boards in the ministry of health after much said. It was all a doctor thing. |
phantom: way to go ! This is what our health system needs.there is an attorney general, accountant general, surveyor general e.t.c ...a surgeon general will solely cater to the needs of doctors.it frees us the position of 'health minister' so any of the other health workers can attain it since they want kill themselves over it.Cater for the needs of the doctors? What's NMA for? What's MDCN for? Les see how it plays out. I'm only expecting the reaction of the pharmacists and nurses. The movie is still long ooo. Are u tryna say this office is the reason for the continual unnecessary lordship of doctors over the health sector? Adongerrit! Moreover, u'd like to explain how the surgeon-general office benefits Nigerians. |
Acidosis: wow.. Nice one...!!I taya oo. Next thing, Dr Aribisala becomes surgeon general office of the federation. Cool way to siphon. |
