^^U definitely don't know the meaning of 'prospect'. Pharmacy does av more prospect than medicine. @OP I'd advise u to Google the two professions. U must be able to go through the rigours of school work of both professions. |
Kelyto: Yes dats true,PCN has not been dat active and supportive to d progress of d proffesion recently particularly the chairman,i think pharm morah or somtin did not step down after his tenure.I also knew of a time when the PSN request that the president dissolve the board of members of the then PCN because PCN did not have members of the PSN the governing board...may dat is what has now been achieved...thats a great feat i must say....but do u knw abt any progress pertaining d pharm D...u mean the FMOH is abt to approve it?There's going a stakeholders meeting, a national conference like Prof Tayo called it. The FMC directors, NMA president, PSN and PCN President, PANS president, Minister of health, directors of the teaching hospitals, nursing council, deans of faculties of pharmacy, 1 ACPN member, 1 NAIP member, CMD of teaching hospitals and the media house representative. If u get the gist sha. Facts'll be placed on the table, discussions will come up and a decision would be taken. If after that the doctors don't agree, then industrial court is next. I wish u heard Prof Fola Tayo speak, pharmD is inevitable. |
Kelyto: How do u mean PCN has been reinstated....was it at any time abolished?....and what has d letter pharm Akintayo sent to Prof chukwu has to do with the pharm D programme...expantiate plsUr first question ehn. I asked myself that same question during the AGM meeting at the last conference buh I had no one to answer. I think PCN has been inactive lately. FMOH has to allow teaching hospitals run pharmD, without that pharmD cannot work. Teaching hospitals have to recognize pharmacists. We shud be allowed to talk to the patients and review their regimen at any time T. Ministry of health is at the helm of decisions. That letter has to do with both pharmD and the consultancy conferment. The latter is a done deal aiidy. Yipee! |
Samgreguc: Any update on The Pharm. D stuff?Did u see that thread on the education section where the minister of health was calling for a revolution? He said he has received 3 threats so far. If u ask me, I can boldly tell u that Pharm Olumide Akintayo(PSN chairman)'s letter is already on his table. Keep calm bruv, God is still on the throne. Another good news is PCN has been reinstated. I'm too sure one of the threats he received came from pharmacists. hehehe baba don dey fear. See who dey call for revolution. Who the revolution go shake pass? *pfffffttt |
Johncuppa: I'm a d.e aspirant. Pls av nt being reading post from unilorin pharmacy stds here, does it mean unilorin pharmacy is nt all dat recognise or wat?Their pharmacy students may not be on NL. Or may not contribute because dey don't av accreditation yet. I worked with a unilorin pharmacy stud recently and she did real good. Hosting the just-concluded PSN conference would be a very good boost for them. I know this.... |
*puts signature on thread* Nothing do us. |
There's nothing wrong with wah he posted na.. |

GentleMimi: Hahahaha! Lol! Ooohhh, come on! Stop being sentimental.Don't mind the mumu. He attacked Joshuapharm heavily on the other thread.. Thank God the guy came back to buttress his points. How will doctor say they created pharmacy and other health professionals? *spits on him* |
Lmaooooooooo dis shud be on d front page. |
Capableben: pls am an aspirant.........Keep calm.. Pharmacy is the most diverse of professions I know of. There r a myriad of settings u can work in.. Pharmacists work in communities where they care out their own pharmaceutical care. Pharmacist work in hospitals( Prof Tayo said hospital pharmacy is the face of d profession, wah doyu guys think?), industries( another giant sector).. military, press , banks telecommunications companies, oil companies..etc . Let Google take it from here. |
We know pharmD is the best option for the country. And trust me PSN and PCN are working tooth and nail towards that. This was discussed during the last AGM meeting and a court case is what would allow FMOH run pharmD in the teaching hospitals. Prof Fola Tayo explained all these clearly and I'm still looking for d jotter I wrote stuffs in. When I find it sha. @bludeville I'm sorry for sounding so rash. If Ure a Rxcist, then introduce urself.. |
Bludeville: I thought i was going to see interesting/ stimulating conversation here....I'm actually embarrassed by this thread.....Buh Ure not a pharmacist neither are you a student. Famzing is not allowed here, pls leave. |
U guys av not learnt how ignore this miserable josh guy. Are doctors so dull? Thank God lalaamed is back.. |
delpharm: 200L OOU Rx std ..As men of honor ...I c u Dele!! How jacking dey go nw? |
Gerrard59: ^^. Haha, emzor has a manufacturing outlet at isolo. I don't know if its as big as tuyil @ ilorin. I don't know the reason why they don't sponsor research tho. Buh pharmacists who want to go into research would be wise to go in through NIPRD at internship level. |
Wow wow woooooooowww.. This is good. Just hoping pple won't abandon this thread after it leaves the front page. The thread is on the career section. pls do check from time to time. I remain Deola, repping OOU.. As men of honour. |

^^^Yes, they're going to lose one more case. That's the case that'll allow us run pharmD and put pharmacists in their rightful place in the hospitals. God help us, God help PCN, God help PSN. |
Good job adeola, more grease to ur elbow. Uche, pls i dont want to extend outside nl. M sorry. Lets say evrytin here. Adeola also, wat an honour buh....
Bet y nw ? Issokay... |
Rexsul: na wa oooo.......wen would ol ds bullshit end? wel dat won't stop me from been a pharmacist in training dz yr......peace rily needs 2 reign within our health wokers if we want our health sector 2 move 4ward.Don't worry bruh.. The industrial court decides, I'm tired of all these arguments, PCN is going to court soon, facts would be put on the table and the court would decide. And ur admission is sure, just prepare well... |
Thank God you know. Doctors started the other speciaties to ease their job. Now those specialty he started wants to overthrow him. Does that sound nice madam?
I thought we were done with this on the other thread? Don't go misinforming the public. Which profession did doctors start? |
Gerrard59: Thanks Mr. dreded very much.I think this is true.. Pharmacy in Ilorin is just developing.. And the PSN chairman of Kwara state actually said that to the governor of the state during the opening ceremony on Tuesday. He asked for more salaries for pharmacists so that more people can comman practice in Kwara. The Governor also asked us to comman build more industries in his state.. Lool, nothing is free in dis our obodo naija.. |
R u kidding me? Is #me@ a female?? Wowww!! I av to meet her. PM ur pin Biko... Well, PSN national conference concluded yesterday and it was really big! Splendid, to say the least. I had a wonderful time. The court cases coming up shortly btw PCN + PSN against the doctors ( not necessarily against) is going to shape the profession. We can only pray for them, this doctors av too much political power but then, there's nothing God cannot do. Get ready for PharmD, get ready to have licensure exams after graduation before u can work as a pharmacist.. Just how it is in the UK and US.. More to come later, make I go rest.. |
Maybe now, he can give Don jazzy some credits. |
Pls help me oo.. I charged my P5 overnight.. I woke up this morning and it was sloww, next thing it went off.. Attempts to have it back on has been fruitless, it'll come on for few seconds and go off.. One time it said 'process' was not responding. |
