Announcing the arrival of my daughter.
EDD - 24/06
DoB - 16/06 via ELCS
Birth weight - 3.03kg
She was conceived via IVF as I had a blocked Fallopian tube and PCOS. Also has 2 subserous fibroids. The pregnancy was relatively easy. I only was at the hospital on account of pain from the fibroid twice when they were moving. The CS procédure went very well. I had a very positive experience and great recovery - already walking around with minimal pain. Still getting a hang of breastfeeding but taking my time. In all baby and mum are doing superb while daddy is elated.

I wish my other June team mates and every expecting person here a successful delivery.

I won't say your hubby is weak sha but he is. Carry your bag and leave the place. By now you should be able to bath your child if you pay attention. If you are afraid of doing house chores, invite one of your siblings or family members you trust.

There is big difference dear. Even for drinking water from cup and drinking it direct from bottle. The difference is clear but them no go understand it.

thank u so much for checking up on us. Chai! Not easy at all but I thank God for strength. Iam still spitting none stop. I av used everything useable all no gree work. I also feel the pressure sometimes around my jajina. Abeg na only me waka come? Am 29weeks gone. Kaduna is still on partial lockdown and av not been able to shop. Cappo this is notify you that I have left the race. At around 10.34am today baby Lotanna went to meet the lord and I know I have an angel watching over me.

Woke up to serious contractions around 12.30am and when I went to use the loo, I felt my water gush and bleeding following subsequently. We left to the hospital immediately and after a lot of delay, an injection was given to stop the bleeding. By 9.00am when fetal doppler and also ultrasound machine were used to check baby's vitality, doctor realized he was dead and I was induced.

I birthed him less than 30 minutes after while I was in the toilet poling and held my baby for few minutes. Placenta took 3 hours plus before it was finally delivered. Devil thought he would win but as usual he is always the failure.

This is like a shock to me as we just saw baby less than 20 hours ago in an ultrasound when we went to check for gender and he was waving at us and kicking his legs.

Please pray for me mamas that I would come soon and that my journey won't be cut short again. This is me having two losses in less than a year but in God I give the praise.

After my pregnancy and delivery journey of my first baby, I became so scared of having another one
I had nightmares, always afraid of the unknown incase I get pregnant again,but as God will have it when no one expected it I conceived my SON.

Pregnancy was not smooth,all the classes of MS were following me up and down,then the nightmares intensified I dreamt of dieing,always dreamt of burials and coffins and I prayed prayed, cried and cried,the thought of leaving my DD and DH killed me more.
You mama's on this thread gave me hope,all your prayers kept me going,my DD smiles kept me alive and I promised I won't leave her.

fastword to 30weeks I saw signs of my greatest fear(Repeat of Eclampsia),I told DH and he did not believe me but my instincts were 98% correct most of the time
BP,Protein in urine was normal so everything seemed perfect,I went to hospital and Gyn said am doing well

I still was not calm,My legs were swollen(not noticeable but I knew)
i gained 5kg in 3days(when I was not eating well)
All the other symptoms I saw during the first time started reoccurring,DH said it was my mind but I knew what I was talking about.
My BP read 120-125/75 as i checked daily at home ,its a normal BP but It was abnormal for me because at the start of pregnancy it ranged 107-110/68-70,so something was up.

At 34weeks due to lockdown I went to a hospital close to me for checkup and told the Gyn my pregnancy history,I did scan and some tests and behold protein was in my urine,one of the tests showed baby was going to having jaundice,Amniotic fluid was reducing(I was not leaking any fluid)
The Gyn said I should go back to where I registered and see the Gyn meanwhile he gave me BP drugs.

I tried and went to my hospital at 35weeks,the situation was worsening,Drugs and dosage for BP was increased,Amniotic fliud was fast reducing,
baby movements were reduced but the heart rate according to scan was fine,protein was 2++,I was admitted and monitored for 2days to see if things will change.
A CS was scheduled at 36weeks.
HMO changed their mind on covering cost in my hospital and asked us to go to another one but God being so good,the Gyn in the new hospital consults in my former hospital also,how happy I was seeing him though he has not attended to me during this pregnancy but I knew I was in safe hands.

Day of CS came,I went to the hospital but the Gyn asked me to continue my BP drugs and wait for 1 more week.
Again my instincts said No,I told the him I can't wait because I could no longer feel baby movements like before(less than 10kicks a day)
He listened, and I did a scan immediately which showed Amniotic fluid has almost dried up
BP was 180/115,protein was 3+
It became an emergency CS
Baby was brought out, he cried so well,cleaned up and was showed to me.
the nurse that cleaned him up noticed something was wrong, he was looking BLUE.
The doctors in the theater said nothing was wrong since he cried well,but the nurse insisted something was not ok and checked his oxygen level,my son's SPO2 was 35.
Immediately Oxygen was fixed and he was put in the incubator, stitching me was war as needles kept breaking inside me and my BP was shooting up,After all trials I was finally stitched up and I started convulsing,the devil tried but he lost.

The struggle began to save my baby,after using up 3 big oxygen cylinders,the hospital got tired and told me to prepare for the worst as he was still breathing badly.
I prayed,begged God to save my SON.
That nurse(May God bless her always) assured me nothing will happen,she prayed and cried with me,
seeing my son in that state is the worst torture ever.

Day 4 came and my son was still on oxygen,breathing was still terrible, he was on the 4th big oxygen cylinder already, the pediatrician asked he be referred to general hospital as he can't handle the case anymore.

A doctor who resumed duty that morning asked for the oxygen to be removed, my baby given to me and I should breastfeed him,How do I breastfeed a baby not breathing well?
In faith, for the first time I held my baby,prayed for him and put him to breast.
my fellow mama's, breastfeeding my child was the miracle we were praying for,I don't know how but my son did not use half of the 4th cylinder and he was taken out of the incubator and out of oxygen.

Day 5, chest xrays where done which came out clean
SPO2 was 98 and were we certified OK.
Everyone was amazed at the miracle(Including those wicked nurses who indirectly told something bad will happen)
we sang praises to GOD( only him can do what no MAN can do)

When all hope was lost,when I thought it was the end
God intervened, he heard my cry and saw my pain.

Day6 I asked for jaundice test to be done and it came out high,he was put under phototherapy for two days and we were discharged.

As for my stitches there is still an opening bringing out fluid with a foul odour, I have taken antibiotics and still watching it.

To all pregnant mama's yet to deliver,always PRAY!
Pray for the doctors,nurses,cleaners,gatemen infact everyone that will be on duty that week,May they be angels in disguise
pray for all utensils that will be used on you
pray for the hospital, may everything you need be there at the right time.
Follow your Instinct and keep an open mind.
Safe delivery to you all,You will carry your babies and smile back home.

I am highly inspired because I'm scared of child birth,I had retained placenta when i give birth to my second child and i nearly died. I am scared of giving birth but i know there is a God that answers prayer

Onezzly, I've left it to God, as the tiredness no be small. But I really wish this baby will share same month (and day ) with her elder brother. He's October 7th.

Thank God for you Mama. I wonder if devil wanted to use that midwife abi nurse who asked you to stand up when baby's head was already being felt. That was how one woman was asked to stand up cos she was pooing on the place she laid, only for her to stand and baby dropped out that moment landing with his head. That was how the woman lost a baby boy they have been looking for ages. The devil left the nurse because she was previously shouting at the woman and commanding her, but started pleading when she saw the consequence of her action. The hospital was almost burnt down that day.

God will not allow doctors and midwives that will attend to us to be manipulated.

I am glad to announce the birth of my Sonshine who made his grand entry at 7:30PM yesterday weighing 3.25 via Ecs. Baby is fine, mother healing while dad and older brother rejoicing.

Thanks mums from whom one way or the other have learnt from. I'm very grateful

Please, who has experienced ringing ears in pregnancy? My left ear has been ringing for almost a week now and I called my Dr BIL, he said I should use olive oil in the affected ears and b-complex. Please any other advice from mothers here? It can be tiring not hearing properly with one of your ears.

Second trimester things. Enjoy this stage, biko. Na belle we get, we no kill person.

Meanwhile, I felt my baby kick yesterday and cos I was watching a movie with all attention when it happened, I thought it was a child around me that touched me. I looked at the belly and nobody touched me o, in fact the child I would have thought touched me was actually sleeping. The kick was mighty. Then later in the evening, I felt the mighty kick again. So strong, I marvelled.

I'm presently on admission

I went to the hospital to check why's the baby not moving and the heartbeat. The baby was beating good. But still not moving, she was monitored for more than 1hr, all same. I did series of test and the doctor said i may go into labour soon. I'm worried and sad, my husband as left, I'm only here on admission to monitor if I'm still having contraction and heavy discharge like draw soup (dont knw the meaning ) the next 48hrs. They gave me steriod injection to mature the baby's lungs and some drugs if she's going to come and to be on a safer side it's midnight now, cant sleep and i have bn crying. I need your prayers please
