Yes, he answers all your needs. But do you know if he would have answered you even more than your own human expectations if you had included thithing ? What we don't know about God is more than we know.

fyneguy: Fashola's action is the least he could do to promote democracy. Don't look at it from the angle of the governor's forum relevance but the bad precedence this seeks to lay which could be re-enacted in other important matters. We should spare no resources to checkmate anti-democratic forces and their machinations.
Thanks so much for this intelligent reasoning. May God increase your wisdom.

I.Joan:
https://punch.iwayafricanigeri.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Pastor-Enoch-Adeboye-360x225.jpgGeneral Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has explained that he is careful in making public comments to avoid mistakes.

In an interview with Haaretz newspaper during a visit to Jerusalem, Adeboye said he had shied away from speaking out on national issues in order to avoid influencing people in the wrong way.

He also said he was aware of the enormous responsibility on his shoulders as the leader of a global church with millions of members.

“At times it’s frightening. In Africa you have a saying, the man who is carrying a basket of eggs must walk gently … whatever mistakes you make, you affect destinies,” he said.

Adeboye stated that his transformation from a Mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos to a pastor was a divine call, noting that he has a mandate to preach peace everywhere he goes.

“I’ve always said turning a mathematician into a pastor takes only God. In my work with God, I’ve learned that he has a sense of humour,” he stated.

The pastor, who has led the RCCG for three decades, arrived for a meeting at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel, surrounded by an entourage of eight loyal aides, who treated him with the awe normally reserved for heads of state, the paper said.

Speaking on the growing global influence of African preachers, he said the seeds sowed by missionaries who brought Christianity to Africa were producing fruit.

“When you reap, after a certain period you begin to sow. Today, in many parts of the Western world, people have gone rather cold toward the church. Fortunately, the seed sowed in Africa has germinated and the harvest is now coming back to them. So, they are merely reaping what they sowed.

THE PUNCH
Excellent , Baba may the Almighty keep increasing your divine wisdom. Amen!

Eko Ile: We posted some great news about the state adopting and empowering youths just yesterday.

There are over 17 skills acquisition centers in Lagos state empowering youths with credible skills and business loans after graduation.

We have farm clusters all over Lagos state, we bought thousands of acres in Ogun and other states for farming

We just commissioned a 20,000 ton rice mill

Lagos state Agric institute is the most functional in Nigerian next to IITA.

Though power supply is still off limits to any entity beyond the useless and incompetent FG, but Lagos state is the only government capable of guaranteeing any non stop power supply to it's institutions, public facilities and listed streets.

We just posted another great news about Lagos state giving out over 4,000 houses by the end of the year. We've build more houses than any government in the history of Nigeria.

The state has nothing to do with communications in Nigeria, that's for your worthless and incompetent FG.

PoliticsRe: Lebanese Arrested Over Weapons Trafficking & Stockpiling by adetsim(m):
Ijogz K: A review at the issuance of our working permit is extremely needed.. Who approved their Visa self?

Dem get greencard? angry
You're absolutely right. Most Indians too don't have work permit in Nigeria and are the Lords of the second time slave trading in Nigeria and they remain unchecked by our intentionally will lacking, attention-diverted and lackadaisical government who at the expense of the masses, in order to enrich their own pockets, sold our citizens into the hands of these expatriates all in the name of the so called investments. Lebanese and Indians need to be deported to their countries.

Zain was so fair and nice with both the customer and staff untill Airtel came on board. Working with zain we saw a bright future ahead of us but when the Indians(Airtel) came on board ,everything looked bleak with no prospect in view again. They looked at Nigeria as a place of no law where they could quickly make their money and settle home finally . They are all technical students from their land and were boses to even the masters and the doctorates students here . On their arrival, 6 of them would eat from a plate at the canteen and when they discovered money with the calls we were picking as Customer Care Representatives, they felt we should be laid off for more gains.

Just immediately after Airtel Indians took over from Zain that they started the plan to frustrate and lay off all contract staff working as Customer Care Representative. They stated the frusration by wanting to reduce our salary from : N 74,000 to N 29,000 in the current city of Abuja. This happened all in 2011 September and also by increasing the work hours from 5:45hours to 8hrs without considering the corresponding health hazard (permanent deafening effect resulting from acoustic shock due to some emissions from the network signal via headsets ). This acoustic shock permanently blocked some agents from hearing till today despite attending many hospitals in Nigeria and elsewhere. Apart from acoustic shock health treath, a lot of agents started having eye problem due to long exposure to the screen ultraviolet rays as a result of long working ours. With all these, the Indians still went ahead to stop our health scheme .

An incident that led to an aftermath riot was a sudden closure of the call centre on September 2011 without any prior notice. We then organized a rally round Abuja ,then Nigeria Labour ,the National Assembly and the Lagos state government all rose to our rescue and we started work; but Indians will ever remain Indians with their slavery mentality. As we were working they started entering our government offices to find their ways out and both parties begin to smile at the staff expense.

In 2012 they rolled out forms and called it Voluntry Retirement Scheme(VRS) and they relocated their call centre from. Abuja to Ibadan. The term voluntry in their own case implies 'compulsory' or 'mandatory'.They forced every one to collect the form and they laid every one off and paid the staffs off according to their years of service including all the team leads trained by Zain Network . And ask me how much the team leads were paid not to talk of their agents.
If you're very observant these days, if you call Airtel call centres, a starter who will do trial and error will answer you. They did not allow them to board with old agents to learn as the old ones with experience have been laid off. The job requires a lot of expertise which one gains in the process of time.
Despite my working for 3 years with commendations from Zain HR, there were still a lot to learn from the network as a frontline agent. I wonder how a good manager would loose consultants with many years expertise .
Nigerian government is causing a lot of harms to her citizens. The funniest thing there is that The two main call centers in Lagos and Abuja were both closed and up to 3000+ youths were silently asked to go.

The topic under which I posted this comment only reminds me of how Nigerians are suffering in their own father land from the hands of foreigners, an extent no African can go in Abroad. Nigerians working as contract staffs are suffering in banks , expatriate companies and even some indigenous factories/worplaces , call centres and lots of others, just to mention a few. Where is this country going?

Its so unfortunate the kind of vulga and irresponsible words emanating from 'elders' in our society, especially from the presidency. People that we,the youths should look up to as role models happen to be vagabons sad. Even the president saying words that should be censored on a National broadcast (I don't give a damn), Haba!

With this kind of comments,I advise parents to make sure newspapers are kept out of reach of children.
Gamji007, I really adore you with this comment. As a Nigerian youth too, your comment moved me. I didn't expect Reuben Abati to be saying this. How can there be politics without opposition? Fashakin too may not be doing so well in his utterances, but Abati could could have taken it easy.

I believe it's getting to the time that every one will get closer to God. Anything that happens physically had already happened spiritually; believe it or leave it. Even old parents used to say this. I could remember that on the 1st January of this year, the church I attended, among the prophesies given were that of building collapse and that brethren should pray against this. I just start to recall the prophesy now when building collapses start happening . May the Almighty keep us safe at all times.

The Money for the State should be used to fund the SOE. Only civil servants should be paid. The Governor should also vacate the Government house so the Army can use it as a base of operation. angry

One big fact about the UK is: No one will add 'Nigerian' to your status if you are representing the country in any capacity!
But if you dare commit a crime, your status will change from 'British' to 'British Nigerian' or 'Nigerian descent'- even if you've never been to Nigeria!

Nevertheless,

We should ask ourselves why other countries in Africa have not 'produced' Abdulmuttalab and Dese 2 'Michael's'!!! And pls, don't tell me it's a fallout of the big size of the country!!! If its abt size then China or India ought to have produced millions of terrorists!

This is what you get when u don't have properly brought up children!!!
If you don't Instill the right values in your children at their formative years,d devil will !

Power corrupts people. When you are outside the corridor of power, you feel the person occupying that seat of power is bad but when you get there, you become the best villain around.

Gowon never wanted to leave power until Murtala kicked his butt out of power.Babangida promised to return to civilian rule until he became unpopular and had to succumb to the cries of the people after after 8 years in power.Abacha did all he could but ended up dying in power.Obj wanted 3rd term by all means but he failed because the NASS won't compromise.Yardau despite all odds and manipulations by his closest pals,he died.

One would have expected an opportunist like jonathan to accept the will of God and let things happen naturally but here he is;victimizing people by using the instrument of power he accused turai and tilde of denying him to intimidate people who oppose him.what goes around comes around.

There is a God is charge of payback,Jonathan should learn from the past.Nothing lasts forever.
