Romance15 Negative Effects Of Too Much Sex You Don't Know..No. 8 & 14 Might Shock You!! by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 3:56pm On Jul 10, 2016
1. Rug Burns or Bruises

This is one obvious effect of too
much sex because of the rubbing
during sex activities. This is
especially so if you have rough sex.
Rug burns make it very
uncomfortable to have sex in certain
positions and the bruises can be
painful after you notice it. Try not to
have sex on your back, knees or
any other parts that might cause
discomfort.

2. Soreness and Swelling

Ladies are susceptible to feeling a
bit sore after a steamy session in
the sheets. This is often as a result
of vaginal excoriation which simply
refers to the scraping of the vaginal
walls during penetration. This
makes it very painful to engage in
any sexual activity that involves
penetration. You can opt for other
ways to pleasure your partner
instead of penetrating.

3. Dehydration
Having sex is usually a physically
involving activity that will make you
sweat and lose lots of water. If you
have sex too many times without
staying hydrated, you could become
dehydrated in no time. This is
especially so if you have been
taking alcohol before or while the

sex. Though harmless, this is the
most common effect of too much
sex.

4. Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

UTI or urinary tract infection can be
very uncomfortable or even painful.
Having too much sex, especially
with different people, can expose
women to this condition. To avoid
contracting a UTI, you should take
plenty of water and make sure to
empty the bladder before and after
sex.

5. Lower Back Pain

After a long session with heavy
thrusting, you could develop lower
back pain. This can make any
attempt at indulging in sexual
intercourse virtually impossible. You
might have to try positions that do
not put pressure on your back or
avoid sex until you get better. This
is a common effect of too much
sex.

6. Injured Nerves

While the normal human being can
withstand all sorts of sexual
stimulation, the nerves may get a
bit sore after an intense session. It
is, therefore, better to pace yourself
before overindulging and you could
easily end up the activity for some
time. Avoid too much direct
stimulation of the same spot.

7. Trouble Climaxing

Men are often unable to climax after
having too much sex in a short
period of time. This is a perfectly
normal reaction and you don't need
to worry about it. This is usually
down to the act that you have
exhausted or considerably
diminished the sperm and semen
levels. The body needs time to
recharge before you can get back to
your randy ways.

8. Decreased Vision

While this might seem farfetched, it
does actually happen to many
people. This happens when blood
vessels in the eyes pop during
sexual activity. You need not worry
too much if this happens to you as
it will heal and become normal with
time.

9. Strained Muscles

Like any other physical activity,
sexual intercourse can cause
muscle strains. This could result in
pain and even immobility. You
might be required to stay off sex for
a while as you recover.
Alternatively, you could opt for sex
positions that do not put pressure
on the strained muscles.

10. Exhaustion

While this is not a dangerous effect
of too much sex, it can affect your
quality of life. You cannot afford to
go through life with tiredness.
Indulging in sex several times a day
will drain all your energy and leave
you an exhausted feeling most of
the time. During sexual activity, the
body releases norepinephrine,
epinephrine and cortisol which
increase the heart rate and trigger
the release of glucose in the blood.
All this activity is tiring, especially
when done frequently.

11. Hair Loss

Sexual intercourse increases the
levels of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
in the body. This hormone, in turn,
leads to hair loss as DHT is known
to kill hair follicles and cause male
pattern baldness.

12. Weak Immunity

Your immunity can be lowered as
an effect of too much sex. The
prostaglandin E-2 hormone is
released into the blood stream
during sex. This hormone can lead
to the following problems when
produced in excessive amounts –
weakening immunity, damaged
tissues, nervous and muscular pain
and lack of sexual stimulation.

13. Head Injury

This could happen if you bang your
head against something during
sexual intercourse. This could be
the headboard or the wall as you try
to push in or pull off in the similar
way like porn stars' sexual routines.
The severity will depend on what
you hit and how hard you hit it. If
you feel it is serious, see a doctor.

14. Heart Attack

While this is rare, there are
situations when people suffer from
a heart attack during sexual
intercourse. While sex can be good
for your heart as it is a
cardiovascular activity like some
others, you should do it with
cautions if you have a history of
heart problems.

15. Fracture

While the penis cannot break, it is
important to know that it can suffer
from a fracture. You will normally
hear a popping or snapping sound
followed by the loss of erection.
This normally results in swelling at
the base of the penis or scrotum.

So, How Much Sex Is Healthy and
Normal?
There is no right or wrong answer
to this. The amount of sex one
should have often differs from
person to person. The best way to
go about this issue is to discuss it
with your partner. As long as you
are both comfortable with the
frequency of your sexual activities,
you need not worry. However, if you
notice that your sexual activity is
interfering with your work or day to
day life, you might adjust it or see a
therapist.

CrimeDelta Fire Service Contained 70 Fire Incidents In 5 Months – Commissioner by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 1:11pm On Jul 10, 2016
Delta Commissioner for Special
Duties, Chika Ossai, the Delta
Commissioner for Special Duties, said
the state’s fire service contained 70
fire incidents in Asaba, the state
capital, between November, 2015 and
March, 2016.

The commissioner said that 62
incidents were recorded in Warri, 58
in Agbor and 30 in Sapale within the
period.
"The major causes of the fire
incidents are faulty electrical
appliances and connections as well
as bush burning.

"Because of the proactive measures
it adopted, the state fire service was
able to save lives and property worth
millions of naira within the period.
Ossai said that the state had 19 fire
service stations with 16 functional
fire vehicles to contain fire outbreaks
across the 25 local government
areas of the state.

He called on the people to use the
right materials in building
construction and engage experts for
the installation of electrical devices
in their buildings to avoid fire
outbreaks..

The commissioner also advised
against bush burning and other act
capable of causing fire outbreaks.
He further urged the people to
promptly contact the fire service
during any occurrence, giving clear
descriptions of the areas. (NAN)

EducationJAMB Denies Introducing New Admission Policy (See Full details) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 12:19pm On Jul 09, 2016
The Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board, JAMB, has
distanced itself from media reports
that it imposed the Point System
Option (PSO) on higher institutions
as the new admission guidelines for
2016 admission processes.

Distancing itself from such report,
the examination body described it
as a figment of the imagination of
its proponents.

Speaking with Saturday Telegraph ,
the Head of JAMB’s Media and
Information Unit, Dr. Fabian
Benjamin, said the examination…

He noted that a section of the media
had only scooped the information
from a presentation to some
education stakeholders by the JAMB
Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, which
was posted on the examination
body’s website.

This is even as he added that as
against the report, JAMB would no
longer issue any admission letter to
any candidate but would ensure that
the three admission pillars of Merit,
Catchment Area and the Education
Disadvantaged Areas must be
observed by all the higher
institutions across the country.
He said: “It is irresponsible for any
media to have credited any
information that did not emanate
from JAMB to us. JAMB did not
create any new admission
guidelines. Some people just went to
our website to pick a document
which was presented to a session of
stakeholders comparing various
admission systems by different
institutions.

“No university or polytechnic is
instructed by JAMB to adopt such a
policy. In fact, we won’t issue
admission letter any longer as the
Minister has mandated us.

“What we are to do is to provide
admission list and album to the
institutions and ensure that the 45
per cent for merit; 35 per cent for
catchment area and the 20 per cent
for education disadvantaged areas,
are observed to the letter. The
universities are to issue admission
letters individually.”

PoliticsRe: 12 Facts You Need To Know About M.K.O Abiola And June 12 by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 10:00pm On Jul 07, 2016
Many people may have paid attention
to the word ‘Hope’ being used to
convey a message of possibility
during Obama’s 2008 election in
America, but 15 years before then in
Africa’s most populous nation, MKO
Abiola became a rallying figure for
many Nigerians with his ‘Hope’
campaign.

10. MKO Abiola died for the June 12
mandate but he was not the only
June 12 casualty as General Sani
Abacha also died in mysterious
circumstances on June 8, 1998.

11. Chief MKO Abiola’s memory is
celebrated in Nigeria and
internationally. June 12, remains a
public holiday in Lagos and Ogun
states and other All progressive
Congress party states. MKO Abiola
Stadium was named in his honour.

12. The election was declared
Nigeria’s freest and fairest
presidential election by national and
international observers, with Abiola
even winning in his Northern
opponent’s home state.

started at a young age. He was 19-
years-old when he joined the
National Council of Nigeria and the
Cameroons (NCNC) in 1979.

7. For the June 12, 1993 presidential
elections, Abiola’s running mate was
Baba Gana Kingibe. He
overwhelmingly defeated his rival,
Bashir Tofa of the National
Republican Convention.

8. Abiola died on July 7, 1998 on the
day he was due to be released from
incarceration under suspicious
circumstances shortly after the death
of General Abacha. The official
autopsy stated that Abiola died of
natural causes, but Abacha’s chief
security officer, Al-Mustapha alleged
he was beaten to death.

Politics12 Facts You Need To Know About M.K.O Abiola And June 12 by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 9:48pm On Jul 07, 2016
Here are twelve important facts you
need to know about this date.

1. The date is celebrated in honour
of an annulled presidential election in
June 12, 1993.

Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale
Abiola, often referred to as M. K. O.
Abiola, ran for the presidency in
1993, and is widely regarded as the
presumed winner of the inconclusive
election since no official final results
were announced till date.

2. The election was annulled
by Ibrahim Babangida, because of
alleged evidence that they were
corrupt and unfair, a development
that ushered in a political crisis that
led to General Sani Abacha seizing
power later that year.

3. In 1994, Abiola declared himself
the lawful president of Nigeria in the
Epetedo area of Lagos island, an
area mainly dominated by Lagos
Indigenes, after he returned from a
trip to solicit the support of the
international community for his
mandate. After declaring himself
president he was declared wanted
and was accused of treason and
arrested on the orders of military
President General Sani Abacha, who
sent 200 police vehicles to bring him
into custody.

4. Moshood Abiola was detained for
four years, largely in solitary
confinement with a Bible, Qur’an, and
fourteen guards as companions.

5. Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua is
said to have predicted the annulment
to Abiola and warned him against
contesting.

PoliticsOduah Denies Stashing N2.5bn In Housemaid’s Account, Threaten Legal Action by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 2:28pm On Jul 07, 2016
ABUJA - Former Minister of
Aviation, Senator Stella Oduah,
on Thursday, dismissed as false
and baseless, allegation that
N2.5billion was traced to the
bank account of her housemaid.
Oduah who is currently
representing Anambra North
Senatorial District, via a
statement by the Head of
Communication in her office,
Francisca Onyeisi, maintained
that the allegation which she
said was contained in a report by
an online media outlet, was
aimed at tarnishing her public
image.

While challenging the online
media outfit to disclose the
identity of the unnamed
housemaid, Oduah, said she
never at any time, tried to have a
meeting with Chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim
Magu.

The Senator said she would
institute a legal action against
the media outlet over the
"malicious publication".
"We also want to state that while
the online platform, well known
for its penchant lies and spurious
allegations may have made
another calculated attempt to
taint the enviable record and
achievements of the
distinguished Senator who had
made a mark in Oil/Gas and
Agricultural businesses before
joining politics, we therefore
challenge Sahara Reporters to
produce evidence of the
imaginary account of the
supposed housemaid to
members of the public.

“We would like to state
unequivocally that this report is
totally false, baseless and has no
sense in it, in the first place,
Senator Oduah has no female
domestic staff, in the second
place what would be the sense in
putting such money in a
personal account, is it for
savings or concealment? Either
of which makes no sense no
matter how big the person is.

“We are confident to say that the
report did not by any imagination
arise from EFCC because the
EFCC of today we know are
diligent and works with facts.
"We are convinced that the
source of the report must be the
handiwork of some mischief
makers who have not hidden
their determination to bring
Senator Oduah down by every
means.

“They succeeded in pushing her
out of government but failed to
stop her from winning her
election to the Senate. In the
same vain, they have continued
to pursue her through the court
to see if they can root her out.
“Senator Oduah is one of the few
senators who after one year in
office is still battling with pre-
election matters in court.

PoliticsAttacks On Oil Facilities: How Nigeria Economy Lost N1.0trn In Six Months by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 7:56pm On Jul 06, 2016
About N1.0 trillion may have
been lost to production shortfalls
due to the resurgence of attacks
on oil and gas facilities in the
Niger Delta, between January and
June 2016 as well as various
facility related repairs and
leakages.

In the first quarter, going by the
figures of the Central Bank of
Nigeria, CBN, at 1.82 million
barrels per day, bpd, down from
targeted 2.2 million bpd, the
country recorded a total
production shortfall of 380,000
barrels per day, bpd.

However, the shortfalls worsened
in the second quarter as the
Minister of State for Petroleum
Resources and Group Managing
Director of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr.
Ibe kachikwu, stated that
Nigeria’s crude oil output had
dropped to 1.6 million bpd,
giving a shortfall of 600,000 bpd.
Furthermore, recent data from the
NNPC revealed that Nigeria had
between January to April 2016,
lost N51.388 billion to pipeline
vandalism.

Giving a breakdown of the cost
of the bombings to the Nigerian
economy, the NNPC, in its
Monthly Financial and Operations
Report for April 2016, revealed
that the country, spent N33.994
billion for pipeline repairs and
management, while as a result of
the vandalisation, N10.335
billion worth of crude oil was
also lost, even as petroleum
products losses between January
and April 2016, stood at N7.059
billion.

The report further highlighted
that crude oil losses for the four
months period, accounted for
61.06 per cent of the total crude
oil loss of N16.925 billion
recorded in the 12-month period,
between May 2015 and April
2016, while pipeline repairs and
management cost for the four-
month period accounted for 36.3
per cent of the total loss of
N93.649 billion between May
2015 and April 2016.

On the other hand, product
losses for the four months period
were 18.03 per cent of the total
of N39.145 billion recorded
between May 2015 and April
2016.
The amount lost to pipeline
vandalism in the four months
period, between January and
April 2016, was 16.38 per cent
of the total sum of N313.652
billion remitted by the NNPC to
the Federation Account
Allocation Committee, FAAC, in
the four months period.

In addition to these losses, NNPC
disclosed that that its subsidiary,
the Nigerian Petroleum
Development Company’s, NPDC,
crude oil sales was still
hampered by the vandalism of
the Forcados pipeline.

According to the NNPC, the
vandalism had continued to deny
NPDC of monthly crude oil
revenue of about N20 billion.
To this end, from February 2016,
when the Forcados pipeline was
first vandalized, till date that it
was yet to be repaired, the
country has lost N100 billion.

Furthermore, the NNPC reported
that the incessant pipeline
vandalism posed the greatest
threat to the power industry,
noting that the country has lost
over 1,500 megawatts of power
supply to the damage as gas
supply from Forcados, which is
Nigeria’s major artery, accounts
for 40-50 percent of gas
production.

In addition to challenges in gas
to power, vandalism had brought
about a scarcity in Liquefied
Petroleum Gas, LPG, also known
as cooking gas and has
negatively affected the
performance of the country’s
refineries
Also, major refineries across the
globe have concluded plans to
stop the purchase of crude oil
from Nigeria due to rising
uncertainties about the country
meeting up with deliveries. This
is mainly due to the fact that a
number of oil companies in
Nigeria had declared force
majeure of crude oil export, while
a few others had been forced to
suspend or cut production as a
result of the bombing of oil
facilities across the Niger Delta.
Specifically, data obtained from
Reuters revealed that four of
Nigeria’s oil grades - including
the largest stream, Qua Iboe —
had been under force majeure
over the last two months — a
legal clause that allows
companies to cancel or delay
deliveries due to unforeseen
circumstances.

The report further stated that
refineries in the United States’
East Coast are starting to turn
away from Nigerian crude oil,
noting that these same refineries
had been on a buying spree for
Nigerian crude in recent months
that averaged 240,000 barrels
per day (bpd) in April and May.
As a result, the report said
differentials to dated Brent for
Qua Iboe, Bonny Light and other
grades are under downward
pressure, adding that there are
several unsold cargoes for June
loading.

According to the report, the
reduced demand means Nigeria
is not benefiting as much as
others from a rebound in Brent
crude prices, which is partly
driven by its own oil outages,
stating that the reluctance of the
refineries to buy Nigeria’s crude
oil was limiting the prices Nigeria
can get for its oil even as there
is less of it.

The NNPC explained that the
reduced national production
volume due to indiscriminate
vandalism of oil and gas facilities
and product theft by the vandals
had continued to destroy value
and put NNPC as well as the
Federation at disadvantaged
competitive position, stating that
crude oil and products losses
have continued to cost NNPC
and the country huge amount of
financial and human resources.
Industry analysts are putting the
cumulative cost of these
challenges since this year at
over N1.0 trillion, as the entire
economy which runs largely on
the oil industry resources bleeds
from the pressures.

According to the NNPC, reduction
in vandalism will indeed unlock
several industry upsides which
include improved upstream oil
production due to reduced
pipeline disruptions, stable gas
supply to power plants, improved
refinery utilization due to
increased crude oil feed from
restored pipelines, and reduction
of crude/product losses.

To address the issue, Minister of
State for Petroleum Resources
Kachikwu called on the militants
to shelve their weapon and
embrace dialogue with the
Federal Government.
He said, “There is no doubt that
over the decades of oil
production, a lot of things that
ought to have been done in the
oil geographical areas were not
done. The answer to the issue
will not be heating up the
grounds.”

He further stated that government
was making contacts with
everybody involved especially
those that could be identified,
while he expressed confidence
that through dialogue, the crisis
would be resolved.

He urged the militants to allow
the truth reign and assured that
federal government was ready to
intensify effort to ensure
development in the region.
Also speaking on the issue,
National Executive Chairman,
Host Communities of Nigeria,
Producing Oil and Gas
(HOSTCON), Mr. Mike Emuh,
called on the Federal
Government, the Niger Delta
Avengers and other militant
groups in the Niger Delta to
immediately adhere to a one-
month ceasefire to allow for
dialogue among all stakeholders
on ways to address the crisis in
the region.

Emuh, in a presentation to
Sweetcrude, also commended the
Federal Government for all its
current efforts aimed at achieving
permanent peace in the region,
while he urged citizens of the
Niger Delta to tow the same line
To tackle the crisis, Emuh
insisted that pipeline surveillance
contracts should be awarded to
oil producing and impacted
communities all over the country,
while he also advocated
utilization of 100 per cent of the
amnesty budget for the
empowerment of former militants
that had laid down their arms.
He further maintained that all
international oil companies
should be made to relocate their
headquarters to their states of
operations; reopening of the
closed down Maritime University,
Okerekoko within this period, to
urge all to sheath their sword
and give room for dialogue; while
the Federal Government should
pronounce immunity for the Niger
Delta Avengers within this period.

Foreign AffairsMilitary Helicopter Crashes With Senior Officers On- Board (photo) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 10:07pm On Jul 05, 2016
A military helicopter carrying

crashed causing severe panic in
the area.

The military helicopter which

The helicopter crashed in the

PoliticsAbia State To Remain Without A Governor Till July 7 … See New Details + Photo by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 11:08pm On Jul 04, 2016
Abia State has been riddled with
a political confusion over who is
the rightful governor of the
South-east state.

The tussle will now endure at
least untill Thursday, when the
Federal High Court, Abuja, will
give its ruling on the stay-of-
execution order filed by
embattled Okezie Ikpeazu.

Premium Times reports that the
court on Monday fixed July 7 to
rule on the application filed by
Mr. Ikpeazu, whose election was
annulled and certificate of return
withdrawn.

Mr. Ikpeazu filed the stay-of-
execution application days after
the court sacked him from office
for failing to pay his personal
income tax as at when due.
Hearing the application on
Monday, Justice Okong Abang
declined to set aside his
judgment, saying he would hear
other applications on the matter
on Thursday.

The counsel to Mr. Ikpeazu,
Wole Olanikpekun, had asked
the court to set aside the earlier
order for a certificate of return to
be given to Mr. Ogah.

But counsel to Mr. Ogah, Alex
Izinyon, filed a counter-affidavit
against Mr. Ikpeazu’s
application for stay of execution.
Mr. Olanipekun then asked for
time to look into the details of
Mr. Izinyon’s argument in the
counter-affidavit.

He also prayed the court to treat
the matter without delay.
Justice Abang then fixed the
next working day, July 7, to hear
the application and other
applications in the matter.
The Federal Government has
fixed Tuesday July 5 and
Wednesday July 6 as public
holidays so Nigerian muslims
can join their counterparts
around the world for end-of-
Ramadan festivities. July 7 is
the next working day in the
country.

Justice Abang had on June 27
sacked Mr. Ikpeazu as governor
after the court found him guilty
by of tax evasion.
Mr. Abang had, in that judgment,
directed the Independent
National Elector*l Commission
(INEC) to issue certificate of
return to Mr. Ogah who came
second in the primaries
conducted by the Peoples
Democratic Party in the state.
In a swift reaction to the
judgment, Mr. Ikpeazu filed an
appeal before the Appeal Court
in Abuja. He also filed a motion
for stay of execution of the
judgment at the Federal High
Court.

However in compliance with the
court order, INEC issued Mr.
Ogah a certificate of return on
June 30, and he (Mr. Ogah)
immediately headed to Abia to
be sworn in as governor.
But an Abia State High Court
hurriedly issued an injunction
stopping the state’s chief judge
or any other judicial official in
the state from administering the
oath of office on Mr. Ogah,
pending the determination of the
motion on notice at the Court of
Appeal.

“Upon this motion ex-parte
pursuant to section 143 (1) &
(2) of the Elector*l Act 2010 (as
amended) and pending the
determination of the motion on
notice, after hearing O.O Nkume,
counsel to the applicant,”
Justice Chibuzo Ahuchaogu
said.

“It is ordered that an order of
injunction is hereby made
restraining the 2nd defendant
(INEC) from issuing a certificate
of return to the 1st defendant
(Ogah) while the claimant
(Ikpeazu) remains in office in
accordance with section 143 (1)
& (2) of the Elector*l Act 2010
(as amended) and pending the
determination of the motion on
notice.

“It is further ordered that the 3rd
defendant (chief judge of Abia
State) or any other judge of the
court or any judiciary officer are
hereby restricted from swearing-
in the 1st defendant (Ogah)
while the claimant (Ikpeazu)
remains in office in accordance
with section 143 (1) & (2) of the
Elector*l Act 2010 (as amended)
and pending the determination
of the motion on notice.”

The state has, consequently,
remained without a clear
leadership since Thursday.

PoliticsTinubu’s Ramadan Gifts: Two Dead by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 12:54pm On Jul 03, 2016
Two elderly women died on Saturday in a violent struggle for Ramadan gifts distributed on behalf of a former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at Onikan Stadium in the state.

SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that a middle-aged man fainted in the commotion, while several others were injured during the distribution by the Iyaloja General of Nigeria and Tinubu’s daughter, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.

The Lagos State Police Command, however, said no deaths were recorded from the stampede.

Each gift pack was said to have included a package of rice, salt, noodles and sugar, as well as a sum of N1,500 contained in an envelope, which were given to each person.

It was learnt that the injured were rushed to the Marina General Hospital, while corpses of the deceased women, who were said to be in their sixties, were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.

An eyewitness, Musbau Adeyanju, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone on Saturday evening, said a crowd had besieged the stadium around 8am to collect the gifts, with males and females maintaining separate queues.

He said the exercise was smooth until around 11.30am when it was disrupted by some impatient persons.

Adeyanju said, “We started entering the stadium with a pass as early as 8am. The distribution started at 10am and each person was collecting a bag containing rice, semovita, noodles, sugar and salt and a sum of N1,500. It was Iyaloja General that represented Asiwaju.

“Around 11.30am, people became impatient for the fear that the gifts might not get to them. There was a stampede and two persons died in the process. Their bodies were laid under a tent, while an ambulance that would carry them was being awaited. It was when the clothes that were used to cover their faces were removed that I discovered they were elderly women.

“Their bodies were eventually taken to the mortuary by an ambulance of the Lagos State Ambulance Services. Several people were also injured. I left the place after the women died.”

Another eyewitness, who identified himself only as Idris, said some hoodlums cashed in on the stampede to dispossess people of their valuables.

“Initially, the programme was well organised. A gate was opened for males and another for females. Suddenly, some hoodlums at the stadium started snatching phones from people. It was almost my turn when the distribution was disrupted. The age of the women that died should be around 60,” he said.

An emergency official, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, confirmed that there were casualties during the rampage.

He was, however, silent on whether there were fatalities among the casualties.

“I cannot say whether the casualties involved loss of lives. But some people were rushed to the hospital,” he stated.

General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Michael Akindele, denied knowledge of the deaths.

“LASEMA did not get any report of such,” he said.

The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, said it was only a man who collapsed and was treated on the spot before he was taken to the general hospital for further treatment.

She said, “It was a Ramadan lecture organised by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu but he was not there. He was represented. The place became rowdy during the distribution of gifts and a man collapsed in the process. He was treated inside the ambulance at the stadium and was later taken to the hospital for proper treatment. No death was recorded.”

EducationNANS Gives 7 Days Ultimatum To Gov. Bello To Reopen Kogi University by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 8:18pm On Jul 02, 2016
The National Association of Nigeria Students
(NANS) on Saturday gave seven days ultimatum
to Gov. Mr Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to
unconditional reopen the state university in
Anyigba.

A statement signed by the National President of
NANS, Mr Tijani Shehu, made available to the
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, stated
that the ultimatum would take effect from July 4.
It said that the association called on the governor
to immediately address their requests bothering
on the state’s economy, welfare of Nigerian
students of Kogi State origin and state workers.
It said that failure of the government to do so;
the association student would stage a protest on
the streets of the state capital, Lokoja

It said that the position of the association was
based on the preliminary report from its Joint
Campus Committee, Kogi State chapter.
The statement said that the association
expressed displeasure on ``perpetual refusal’’ to
resolve the crisis that led to the continued closure
of the university.

It said that the strike had kept the students at
home for about three months, thereby, making
most of them vulnerable to social vices and
crimes.

``We also decried the refusal of Kogi State
Government to continue the age long policy of
bursary and scholarship payment to Kogi
students even when we know the state has not
been this buoyant in the last one year.
``It is our advocacy that the educational sector
be accorded it rightful place in accordance to the
UNESCO resolutions on educational development
globally.

``Also of serious concern is the continue
withholding of three state allocations plus bailout
funds meant to ameliorate the long suffering
workers whose children are already out of
school,’’ it added.

The statement said that the association also
condemned what it described as the crippling of
the banking sector in the state as a result of the
poor policy of the state government.

It said that the state government had directed all
staff to use only designated banks (Access and
Zenith Bank) in eventual payment of their arrears.
``This is leading to banks closing shops and
leading to high retrenchment of staff, thereby
worsening the state of already battered labour
force and overriding their fundamental human
right to basic freedom of choice,’’ it said.

It added that the association demanded the
reversal of the state policy on restricted banking,
which they said was ``killing the one time viable
sector with the negative consequences on our tiny
economy’’.

It stated that the association called for immediate
commencement of disbursement of students’
scholarship and bursary as well as prompt
payment of staff salaries as at when due.
``The National Secretariat hereby issues a seven
days ultimatum with immediate effect from
Monday July 4, on the governor to respond to our
prayers.

``The governor should do the needful before we
pass a vote of no confidence on his
administration.

``We have resolve to start mobilising Nigerian
students down for a total short down of Kogi
economy to occupy the street of Lokoja in
solidarity with the poor masses and civil servant,’’
it stated.

FamilyHow Do I Tell My Husband He Is Not The Father Of My Son ? by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 11:00am On Jul 02, 2016
A woman has cried out for helping after
finding out that her son might not actually
belong to her husband, and she is afraid of
how it would ruin her marriage after she
cheated.

I am so ashamed of this and it has made my
life unbearable for me. I’m very suicidal and I
just don’t know how to fix this mess. I have
a three-year-old son now, when I got
pregnant I thought my son was for my
husband and not my then boyfriend. I was
proud to be pregnant and never had worries
about who the father of my baby was.

My husband used to cheat on me a lot and I
cheated on him and so when I got pregnant I
was sure the baby was his cos I dumped the
other guy and later heard that he has passed
away. However, problem started recently
when I found out my husband has a daughter
who was born 7 months after my son and the
girl just resembles my husband like a
photocopy and I started seeing difference in
my son who suddenly looks nothing like my
husband.

I see that my son could be the other guy’s.
All these while, I didn’t think for once that my
husband is not the father
My husband and my son have a very strong
bond, they are so in love with each other.
But, I fear what could happen if he finds out
he is not actually his son.

I feel like a thief. I feel like I’ve committed
the biggest sin in the world. My husband’s
family love my son, he is one of them they
also do everything for him.

Everyday, I want to tell my husband about
this but I’m scared I’m always in tears. I’m
so scared of the damage this issue is going
to do to us. I know his heart is going to
break if he finds out. What should I do?
Should I tell him or just forget about it? What
will happen if he finds out himself?

Romance18yrs Old Lady Who Slept With 32 Officers And This Happened (photos) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 10:51am On Jul 02, 2016
A prostitute has made a shocking confession
how about 32 police officers slept with her in
yet another crazy scandal that has forced an
officer involved to commit suicide.

An 18-year-old prostitute has exposed about
32 police officers she claims slept with her
over a period of time.

The woman identified as Celeste Guap has
sparked investigations across seven law
enforcement agencies in California’s Bay Area
after revealing she had s*x with multiple
officers, even when she was underage.

Dailymail reports that the scandal has
prompted three chiefs from the ‘frat house’
Oakland Police Department, to resign and led
to the suicide of a cop

Even at that, the teenager has said that she
is still getting calls from officers asking for
s*x.

She said she feels ‘guilty’ that the revelations
came out, but insists it was just ‘adult
consensual fun’.

Guap also said that out of the 32 officers
she’d slept with, only three had paid her.
However she kept the trysts going because
they would share information about criminal
investigations.

‘Their perks become your perks,’ she said.
In her latest interview with ABC 7, the mother
said she was first paid for s*x at the age of
12 and had her first liaison with a cop when
she was 16.

In the almost two years that have followed,
police officer’s careers have been put on the
line. Sean Whent, Ben Fairow and Paul
Figueroa all quit as Oakland Police chiefs in
the space of eight days earlier this month as
a result of the incident.

Guap claims she slept with three other
officers – two from Oakland and one from the
Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department – while
she was a minor.
Guap also revealed that she is still working
on the streets, but is concerned as many of
the cops she knew have turned their back on
her.

Speaking to a reporter in a park where she
had allegedly met officers for s*x, she spoke
about why she told senior officials in the
Oakland Police Department about her illicit
relationships.

She said she was in Puerta Rico for her 18th
birthday last September when she stumbled
into a bad neighborhood, drunk and just
wearing a bikini

Feeling unsafe, she called officer Brendan
O’Brien, who she had been close with. But he
didn’t pick up. The pair first had $ex when
Guap was just 17

They had met when she was being chased
down the street by a love-vendor.
After he ignored the call, she sent a message
to someone in the department, naming some
of the officers she had been sleeping with.
She also started revealing details of the
relationships with members of law
enforcement on Facebook, but insisted they
were ‘harmless’.

O’Brien committed suicide just hours later,
reports suggest. In his suicide note, he
reportedly said he still felt the strain of his
wife killing herself in his apartment.
He also claims Guap was blackmailing her.
She denied that allegation

The scandal was first reported on May 12
when Guap took to social media.
Referring to officer O’Brien’s suicide, she
wrote on Facebook: ‘The only officer I ever
messed with underage is sadly gone now, so
I don’t know why this is still being brought
up.’

The investigation into allegations of $exual
misconduct was only opened after O’Brien’s

death on September 25, 2015, the Express
reports.

CelebritiesI Once Hawked Oranges On The Streets To Survive— Mercy Macjoe (Photo) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 3:56am On Jul 02, 2016
Actress on the rise, Mercy Macjoe,
has begun to have fame and fortune
smiling at her she seems to be
smiling back. But beneath those
smiles are scars that cannot be
seen. Like everyone who has a
grass-to-grace story to tell, the
nostalgia may have a bitter-sweet
taste but the experience is always a
different thing altogether, even if it
had been lived and dumped in the
memory.

In this Interview, Mercy Macjoe, an
Economics graduate of University of
Ibadan, studying English at National
Open University relives it again – it
is no make-believe

How did you get into the movie
industry?

My first movie was in 2011. I was
featured after being selected from a
talent hunt competition. I played a
very good role and I was opportune
to act alongside Mike Ezuronye. After
then, I decided to take acting serious.
I came back to Lagos and started
going from one audition to another.
God has been wonderful. I was one
of the first few people who played a
lead role in the first movie they
appeared in. I played some very
strong characters and some very
strong lead roles. Most people think
I am from Ghana because I have
featured in some Ghanaian movies
too. There was a time I went to
Ghana and I spent about three to four
months. I had a contract with some
producers. I did a lot of movies and
those movies did well. Most people
on my social media pages think I am
Ghanaian.

What was your childhood like?

I didn’t have all the opportunities
when I was growing up. I grew up
with my mum. I lost my dad at a very
young age so it was just my mum
who took care of me and my other
siblings. I am the sixth in a family of
eight. I wasn’t born with a silver
spoon in my mouth; I had to do so
many things to survive. I assisted my
mum in her buying and selling
business. I sold so many things with
my mum. I remember selling oranges
and some other things with my mum.
I am proud to say it now because the
story is different now. I hawked
oranges and some other things,
helping my mum and siblings to
survive. I am always proud to say it
because it was in the past and I
can’t sell oranges now.

Is your mum supportive of your
career?

My mum is my biggest supporter in
the world. I told you I was part of a
talent hunt when starting out. It was
my mum who got the number for me.
She was watching a movie and saw
the advert in the movie for aspiring
actresses; she wrote the number and
kept it. Back then, when I watched a
movie, I usually call the contact
number I see after the movie. I tell
them to give me an opportunity to
showcase my acting talent. My mum
kept the number and told me to call
it. I called them, they sent me their
website address and I saw the
registration details. I did everything
they required. They said they were
going to get back to me. They didn’t
get back to me till after a year. After a
year, I got a message from them that
I have been shortlisted for a film
production. I have never been to
Asaba and Onitsha before. My mum
advised me to go. She said: ‘Take
enough money in case things go
messy’. I boarded a bus and I went
there. When I got there, I saw so
many people like me from other parts
of the country. We were camped,
auditioned and shortlisted in a
particular place. I was so lucky to
have been given a good role. That’s
how it started.

What will you regard as your most
challenging movie role?

I did a film called Agony of an
orphan. I appeared in the movie two
years ago. It is one of my most
challenging movies till date. In that
movie, I gave out my soul. I
remember the producer telling me; ‘ I
know you are talented and you need
to make people see this talent. Take
this movie like your life depends on
it’. I sold so many things in the film
and I had to shoot under the sun. I
ran on the road under scorching sun.
I did the movie without a single
makeup on. I was a cripple in the
movie and I was also raped by my
uncle in the film. It was very
challenging for me. I poured out my
heart into the movie.

What would you say about the role
you played in the movie, Sex on the
beach?

Everything I did in the movie was just
acting. It’s a movie, nothing more
than that happened. My boobs
weren’t exposed. What started the
controversy was a picture someone
took while we were shooting the
movie at the beach. Bloggers made it
go viral. I got a lot of negative
comments about the movie. Some
people didn’t even believe it’s a
movie. How can you caption the
picture: Caught making love when we
were fully dressed? I didn’t engage in
any sensual display in the movie.
Looking back would you have
featured in that kind of movie?
I don’t think I would have featured in
it. It was a low budget film. If I am
given that kind of script now I will
reject it. The way the script was
written and the way we acted it
wasn’t the way it came out. This us
supposed to be a short film .When
the film came out, the producer or
the marketer made it longer that it
was. It had several seasons and
some people didn’t understand it. It
was meant to be a full movie not
divided into seasons.

Have you ever acted with someone
who got turned on while acting?

You cannot get turned on during
acting. I don’t think artistes should
get turned on because they are not
the only ones at the location. You
can talk about chemistry. If it feels
real that is different. Getting turned
on means you want to make love to
the personal. When you are acting with
someone that you have chemistry
with its easier for you to kiss that
person if the role says kiss. You
cannot be turned on when there are a
lot of people behind you.
