You cant get a straight flight from Nigeria. Searching for cheap flights, check turkish airlines or ethiopian airlines.

@mercylicious i just checked their flight schools, those schools na gbese. My father will have to sell all his properties for me to go to their flight schools. I stay glue to Canada no matter what. Faith still strong thou my heartbeat is something else. Have you tracked today?

It is stated clearly on their website that you should not mail them for enquiry concerning your application until the expiration of the waiting period ie processing time which is 6months so guys pls just try hold am for body. i know se e no easy but abeg try hold am oo.

March-April 2013- solve all past questions of the exams you are going to take (DO NOT VISIT THIS THREAD OR THINK ABOUT CANADA-THEY WILL BOTH NOT DISAPPEAR EVEN AFTER YOUR EXAMS)
May-June/July 2013 - Write and pass your exams (I wish you success, but u have to earn it)
July/August 2013-When ur results come out. peruse this thread,ask all the questions. start applying to schools, contact the people on this thread (past,present(past @ that time)and future). Look for 2-3 people who have similar dreams and conditions as you and make them pals so you work together.

This is the best advice blink has ever gotten in this forum. Go write your exams first and forget about Canada for now. Canada is not going to run away after you get your papers but its just an advice you either take it or leave it.

Pls advice me, I want to come to Canada for my Flight Training and my application is currently at the CDHC. Two schools in my mind, one in Waterloo International Airport and the other in Lethbridge County Airport in Alberta though I submitted the acceptance letter of the one in Lethbridge bt am thinking of finding my way back to Waterloo. Am hoping to get a flight instructor job after training before coming back home. Which one of these schools will you advice that I attend putting in mind that they are in different provinces and how is getting a job in the aviation sector as an immigrant in both province.

Am also heading to the city of lethbridge bt not the uni. Am heading to the flight training school at Lethbridge airport. My start date is Feb 2013 and I submitted Sept 24. When is your start date and how many months is your application now?

I think you can submit additional documents any day bt I just decided to go on Wednesday. If you are close to VI then you can give it a trial moreover it is those security men at the gate that will collect the documents from you and that's all.

yungokus: Yes no particular day!.... Blive u said u submitted 17th August or do u mean it got to the embassy 17th cos from my calendar 17th is a friday . If u submitted 17th den def it wud be getting to the embassy Monday 20th August.. U can start counting ur weeks from there...but if it got to the embassy 17th den we share the same week to count from cos mine got there 14th ..

Please @frankysteve nd @lovesavvi who are your primary sponsors cos am concerned and trying to figure out what's delaying d response from CDHC cos ur sponsor cud also be a major factor.. Hope ur sponsors bear ur same surname and blood cos na dat one dey sweet CDHC for belle well well..

kenniy: before you go to submit, ask them specifically that you want to add additional documents, let them tell you to submit them. I know no 2 cases are same, but I was in a similar situation in my original application, and submitted at the embassy myself anyway without them telling me to submit (after reading on the CDHC website that I can submit additional documents and the procedure, this link --> http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/nigeria/visas/update-how_mettre-comment.aspx?view=d ). But my application was returned without the additional documents I submitted, and when I emailed them requesting for those documents, they replied that they dont have them, that no one requested for additional documents from me..I had to send many mails and even quoted that website before they eventually was able to look for and return those documents. They apparently where not attended to. It took another four weeks or so from when my application was return before I got those documents back, and was able to file a fresh application.

I know it might not be like that for someone else, as I said no 2 cases are same, other factors too, but then..it wouldn't hurt sharing those kinda experience. I have prefered to observe the thread proceedings, but figured my input on this particular topic might be of some (small?) value, cos I have been burnt.

I have 2sponsors, my community(tuition) and my uncle(living expenses). The account of my community has 4signatories bt only 2 has to sign before money can be withdrawn from the acct. With this, how will I go about getting the sponsor affidavit and how much will it cost me. Thanks in advance.

Invincible1: I'll describe it as a NECESSARY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT NEEDED TO BOOST YOUR APPLICATION THAT WILL COST YOU ALMOST NEXT TO NOTHING TO ACQUIRE. It gives CDHC more 'comfort' and assurance that your sponsor[s] are committed to funding your education.

Pls is a sponsor affidavit necessary or its just an added document to increase your chances of getting a TRV.

I think you can only use this same sponsor if and only if he's willing to give you full co-operation and all the necessary documents. There are key documents required by the CDHC to prove the relationship btw you and your sponsor and his/her/their financial capability.If you can get a closer relative the better but if you must use this same sponsor, then he has to be willing to release his statement of a/c,pay slips,a sponsor's affidavit and you should be able to prove/show how you are related as a way of confirming his commitment to your education. well this is my humble submission.

They are yet to contact me moreover my application was a month old yesterday bt the documents are necessary. My transcript, my uncles company evidence of ownership. He didn't want to release it at first but he later released it so I need to send them. Am thinking of sending it next monday through courier or going there myself to submit it next wednesday but the issue now is the UCI/file number.

I checked it myself and I saw the upload tab.
It was written there by CDHC that you can upload additional documents using that link. BUT you'd have to know your UCI/FILE no.

Just checked the link, its for applications that has exceeded the normal processing time and I can't upload an original document? Its my uncle's company registration documents.

@mercylicious pls how will I go about writing them to get the file number. I have checked their website and the info there is that the document should be addressed to them with the file number and others you mentioned.
