1. Use your current passport to continue your applications.
2. Tell your immigration officer handling it for you to use " migration". That's what they call it. But you would have to pay extra 5k aside the passport fee. She can start using it when you must have gotten your Visa.

Hello guys, Please help me out, I have an issue here.

I was at the DHL office today in Victoria Island to submit my passport for Dropbox but I couldn't submit my passport. I was told it takes 10 to 15 working days for my passport to be returned (I earlier thought it was 5 working days). However, I need to travel to the UK on the 29th of this month. I asked if I could fast-track it but they said I should contact the embassy for this.

My US Visa expired on the 2nd of August 2017 and I will not be eligible for Dropbox by the time I return from the UK as I will be back from the UK late August 2018 . I have paid for the Dropbox and also scheduled appointment for Dropbox on their website hoping to submit my visa today. Is it possible I fast-track my Dropbox to 5-10 working days or if I submit now will I be able to get back my passport before the 29th of July 2018 and return it when I am back from the UK.

And if all this cant work, I will have to go for another interview but what i want to know is that will I be able to use my payment for this dropbox for my interview.


Kindly advice on the best possible solution to this.

PS: I am a scholarship student so I only submitted my award letter. I also think if after several weeks of submitting you do not receive a response, you can shrewdly visit the CDHC

Congrats bro, save trip but i want us to understand something here, he is on scholarship which means little or no verifying of bank statements from the bank by CDHC hence he was called for medicals after 2months and got the TRV in 3months as against the call for medicals after 3months. I personally feel both paper and online application is gonna be the same time-frame.

Pls guys a quick question here, my tuition fees plus living expenses reads 8.5M and the duration is 1yr but rgt now my sponsor's acct reads 7.5M but with properties of over 100M to back it up. Am I good to go or I should wait till he sells one of the properties Pls guys help a brother. Thanks.

kenniy: a lil trick if you considering charges: ask the bank to do it from ur savings account (most wont). that way you dont get COT charges.
some background: i actually did mine with gtbank, and paid d COT and all. but accessbank was gonna do it from my saving, but the money i had was already in my gtbank account, so the cost of transferin from gtbank to access already negates the saving i was hopin for..
that said, all other charges are pretty much standard, as the rates are from CBN.

bumdish: This way, your story sounds believable, natural and at least, there is history and some documentation to back your claims serving a dual purpose of showing your ability to 'fund education in Canada without resorting to working' and your 'home tie'.

I still think, it will be very hard to find a uncle or father who will so naturally deposit 8M into your account for your educational purposes,like 6 months before school starts. It doesn't make business or moral sense to me.

bumdish: @deebla, while your approach sounds cool it would result in a natural RED flag. If I where the VO,I would start looking for holes to flaw this move, cos it would be hard to find a father who will deposit such an amount into a child's account well in advance before school starts. What exactly is the father trying to achieve here. If you must go this route, then you should be ready to show that there is nothing obviously abnormal in this move. Like showing that your dad regularly deposits such amount in your account or that he has done something similar in the past and he is willing to do it again or that he has so much money depositing 6M in your account even when you do not immediatly have need of it wouldn't hurt his cash flow. And very importantly, you most be ready to show that the money actually moved directly from your fathers account into your own account, meaning you will need to produce your statement as while as your dads' reflecting a synchronization.
In summary, if you ask me, I think it might do more harm than good. Anyhow, that's my thought, you asked for it.

I am interested in this issue of transferring the money into the account of the child/student. In my own case, my sponsor is my community and my uncle in my first application that was denied but my uncle will pay for everything, the reason i dint use my uncle alone was because his account wasn't that bouyant then but now he just sold one of his properties worth around 70M. My school fees, accomodation and feeding is 8M and before selling the property he had around 10M in his account. What if he transfers the 8M to my account, i pay full tuition from my account and leave the remaining as accomodation and living expenses in my own account, then get the account details of both mine and his own acct after paying the tuition fees and submit. Any danger in this? Please comment.

Siga: Hi family....thanks alot for ur prayers and mails....we finally got home today....to tell u guys abit....my wife was pregnant with our 3rd child but unfortunately, it was an ectopic pregnancy and it ruptured while she was at work....thank God for 911....she was admitted and operated on....she is back on her feet and recovering after a 2hrs 30mins operation.....

I feel the need to update u guys as I got numerous mails, phone calls and prayers....thanks alot guys....I promise to be back fully once she feels better and can get things done herself....

Meanwhile, I will respond to all emails I got before the incident within the next 24hrs....

Not going for Masters but for flight training, not a company account but a community account with four signatories and my uncles account, i guess that is where the problem came from so guys please learn from this. I dint include any property but my next application will be loaded with everything i can submit both properties and letters from the lawyer.

There is no way you can know if your application was untouched because the packaging is different when its been returned so there is no way you can know. if it wasn't touched then why dint they return the sponsor letters with it and the forms because its not in my own returned documents.

Just left VAC, reasons for denial sponsorship not credible. Will reapply next month by God's grace.
