Wishing problem away or name calling can never resolve our problem as Nation. Why are you fighting so hard to live together with MISCREANTS, who are in his/her right mind does that? You may not agree with them but that doesn't mean they are miscreants. They pay taxes and they have the constitutional right to agitate so please stop the name calling. |

Politics › Re: Justice Ofili-ajumogobia Fail To Show Properties She Claimed Her Mother Gave Her by adimsmt: 3:34pm On Nov 10, 2016 |
ijebuloaded: Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia took agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a wild goose chase as she traveled with them from Lagos to Benin and Asaba in search of properties she claimed her late mother bequeathed to her. However, the search was futile as the judge was unable to show agents the said properties she allegedly inherited from her mother.
rita-ofili-ajumogobia
An EFCC source told SaharaReporters that a bus carrying Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia and a team of anti-corruption agents first arrived in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, because the judge had claimed that some of the $900k she wired abroad from bank accounts in Nigeria was income from properties she ostensibly inherited. She had told EFCC agents that her brother, Donald Ofili, and a lawyer based in Asaba, the Delta State capital, were managing the said properties. However, agents who traveled to Benin City to verify the existence of the houses claimed by the embattled judge as the source of some of her income did not find a single property.
Our source said that the judge, who sat in the back of the bus, often covered herself with a wrapper and muttered into a hand-held device as they drove her to Benin City. According to the source, EFCC agents let the judge be, but occasionally asked her to let them talk to her brother, Mr. Donald Ofili. However, on their arrival in Benin, the judge’s brother reportedly spoke on the phone to EFCC agents, asserting that their mother owned homes in the city, but confessing that his sister had asked him to claim that the $120k he wired into her account came from rental fees. The operatives said that, on discovering that her brother had blown open her game, Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia changed tunes and claimed that a lawyer not known to her brother managed the properties. She also told stunned agents that she could not recollect the addresses of the properties. When agents reminded her that her brother also claimed not to know the addresses of the properties, the judge urged the agents to proceed to Asaba, claiming she would then have enough time to contact the mysterious Benin lawyer.
Upset by the judge’s evasive manner, EFCC agents demanded to speak with the lawyer in advance as they drove to Asaba. Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia reportedly rang the so-called lawyer and handed her phone over to an EFCC agent. The man then promised the EFCC agents that he would be waiting to receive them in Asaba, adding that he was visiting a community outside Asaba. However, once the EFCC agents arrived in Asaba, the judge told them that the lawyer who reportedly managed her properties had traveled to Owerri. Furious, members of the EFCC team demanded to speak again with the lawyer, but his line had been switched off. They demanded that the judge take them to the properties, but she again said she did not know the address. The irate EFCC operatives spent the night in Asaba, but seized the judge’s phone to ensure she would not use it to plot against them. As they disembarked from the bus, the agents discovered that the judge had another phone hidden in her wrapper, which they also took away.
Our source said that, despite taking away the second phone, they discovered the judge continued to mutter under her wrapper during the journey back to Lagos. Once in Lagos, a female EFCC detective searched the judge and discovered that she had hidden up to five phones underneath her clothing. She had also concealed an iPad.
According to our EFCC source, an initial check of the phones showed that the embattled justice was using different phones to communicate with her suspected accomplices perhaps tutoring them to lie to investigators about the source of her inexplicable cash transactions. The source said the phones retrieved from the judge would also be sent to experts for forensic checks.
A senior EFCC source confirmed the drama with Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia, adding that the agency was considering revoking the judge’s administrative bail, accusing her of making moves to undermine their investigative tasks.

aresssa: Keep quiet abeg. Lagos state spent over 50 billion on federal roads and the world is still not coming to an end...
FG of course slacking when it comes to federal roads, but you people are too tribally consumed and twisted that what's not a big deal in other places is odious tribal and disgusting nonsense when it comes to ipobs and villagers...
You people eat, drink and breath tribalism 24/7... Your way of thinking is one of the problem we have in Nigeria today, Why is it people from the southwest always use Lagos state to justify what is going on in other states. For God sake Lagos as a city was the former federal capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that alone allowed development into Lagos state. When you look at it 50% or 60% of major roads in Lagos state are federal roads even federal built streets in Lagos. The west is not just Lagos state, No region in Nigeria will have the privileges Lagos has over the years that will not be capable to see 50 billion to do federal roads. Lagos, Lagos, Lagos if half of south easterners pull their businesses from Lagos, Lagos will not have 50 billion to do federal roads, like wise the northerners. So please you all should stop comparing apple and oranges , Osun state is not better than Imo state, neither is Ogun state better than Anambra state and Ekiti is not also better than Enugu state. Let say tomorrow the federal government decide to relocate the capital from Abuja and people like you will came out here to compare the economy of Abuja city and that of Owerri. |

Phagyrhe: I know you have probably visited Lagos at least once in a lifetime, or maybe you live in the city. Oh! You have never been there? Well, you have probably been hearing of the glory of Nigeria's largest, most industrial and developed city. You may have heard of the bubbling scenes, the strength of the city, the never-dulling moments, the stress and so many more. Hey, take a seat and relax because I wrote this post just for you. I want you to be familiar, at least to a considerable extent, with the most popular and symbolic structures in Lagos. These structures are not ranked based on beauty or whatsoever, they are structures which I considered to be most popular and accessed by an average Lagosian. Pardon me if I talk too much....lol.
Lagos, Nigeria's commercial capital city is soaring towards attaining the status of a megacity. For years, governments and private entities across all levels have painstakingly invested a fortune into the development of Lagos by constructing iconic structures which are accessible to all types of citizens. This article is part 1 in a series of popular structures that I will be writing about in coming days. So lets get down to business!

What is happening? Can you please explain? Have you ever heard people say knowledge is power, I'll advice you to go and study the reason why Nigeria adopted multi parties system, you will find your answers. It is this kind of mentality that are hindering our progress as a country. As long as Nigeria is not one party system, anyone or any section has the right to vote their choice. It is only in Nigeria where an elected president will go on a world stage and divide his own country (97% and 5%). Imagine Obama neglecting the south who are predominantly Republican who didn't vote for him or he favors blacks who voted 99% and left white just think. |

KMOS: you guys are missing the point PDP presidential campaign awarded a contract to Daar communication but funny enough Daar communication was paid by the office of NSA. the Cbn was instructed to pay Daar communication by NSA from this did Daar communication work for NSA or PDP Even if Daar communication was paid by God on behalf of PDP presidential campaign what was Daar communication wrong doing? I know there was a crime here but this crime wasn't committed by Dokpesi or Daar communication if there is, let the prosecution present the evidence. Let me give you layman example, let say you are building a house in your village and you are the president of your town union and your brother the treasury, and you instructed your brother to pay the contractor on your behalf with your town union's fund and your brother did as you instructed, again let say you are the contractor in this scenario can you tell me what was your wrong doing. |
Politics › Re: Dasukigate: Dokpesi Got N2.1billion Through Due process - EFCC Witness by adimsmt: 6:29pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
9jatriot: I may be wrong but am not aware that CBN is allowed to dole out money direct to individuals, they usually have to use banks for that. The bank is trying to protect herself by not admitting they did anything wrong. What EFCC is concern with at this point is that Dokpesi actually received the said money and then tie it to the Dasuki money and then tie the Dasuki money to Boko haram arms purchase. So CBN staff saying it was through the right channel does not change anything for now. When the time to face CBN comes, it will be investigated if paying money direct to individuals is a right channel or not. You are wrong this money was released to company own by Dokpesi, through the right channel as said by prosecution's own witness from CBN. Now as for EFCC concern whether Dokpesi actually received the said money as you said, you should bear in mind it was never in dispute Dokpesi's company received any money no they received the money. To prosecute any case high or low profile real evidence are keys in winning any case, EFCC lack the capacity to carry on an investigations and prosecutions that is my opinion. In my opinion in this case, EFCC shouldn't have taken Dokpesi to court at this time because this is just a waste of tax payers money. I'm not implying Dokpesi is innocent all of them are crooks. EFCC will not win this case because they don't have evidence to do so. Why do i said so, because this was a legitimate business transaction yes he may have inflated the contract his company had with PDP or president Jonathan's campaign, As i recognized Nigeria is still capitalist country. For EFCC to win this case to me they have to prove that it was an illegal transaction, right now there own witness have proved it was legal. As it is now there next option will be to prove that Dokpesi conspired with the presidency or the PDP to embezzle this money or Daar communication is front, this things are not easy to prove. For me PDP or Jonathan compaign are in position to take Dokpesi or Daar communication to court and easily get conviction. Dokpesi is a business man, now if PDP or Jonathan's campaign implicate him or Daar communication then it will be easy for EFCC. |

Now, the interviewer is something else. The insults to the lawmaker was uncalled for, with words like Barawo "Thief" and other demeaning words, shows she lacks professionalism.

Somebody just asked in this thread if i am not ashamed for not seeing anything wrong, my answer?no.
Gary Johnson is the Libertarian nominee running for President in the United States now. At an interview, he was asked to name one World leader , and he could not name any one.
Gary Johnson at another interview was asked about the most popular town in Syria called Aleppo, he said he never heard of it. I am saying that we like putting down our own people. Take time to watch the interview, and tell me what exactly he did wrong.
Unless of course you have a problem with his Northern accent. Sir if you cannot see anything wrong with this interview please you should go back to school sir. Gary Johnson you gave as your example may not know Aleppo or any leader, but he can articulate his point and Gary Johnson cannot be elected as a president. |

mikemikoo2: Hello all. I had to create a new account for this just so I wont get laughed at. Ive been battling with body odour for about 2 years now. It has defied all physical measures such as hygiene and deodorants. Ive tried damn near all deodorants I can find in the store. Ive also tried things like lime, lemon, vinegar, baking soda and the likes. I dont even perspire much but when I put on any anti perspirant, I get smelly in no time without sweating. I think the culprit is my underarm but I shave all the time and wash up properly. I went to the hospital and took blood tests and everything came out normal.
I have decided to try traditional means such as iya alagbon and the likes as I hear some of them are very good. Please help recommend any solution apart from hygiene and shaving. Please I beg, this thing has put my life on a stand still as I cant mingle and move about freely without people rubbing their noses and making faces at me. It has made me suicidal. Who wouldve thought id end up with such issues?
Also please if u know any good traditional specialist in things like this, kindly let me know. Im in lagos.
Lalasticlala kindly move this to the front page so I can get varied suggestions please or else I just might end up as the next rip on social media. These days I am sad all the time and find it very hard to go out. Thanks for ur help Before solving any problem it is imperative to know the cause. Body odor starts to occur when we’re in puberty, when we sweet through apocrine glands, sweat don't really smell, sweating is the body’s way of regulating temperature. When you work out or move around in the heat or sun, your body produces sweat then the sweat get in contact with bacteria breakdown of keratin protein on the surface of your skin, it produces an odor. As you said you have tried a lot of things with no luck you can try changing your diet Sometimes fatty foods, oils, or strong-smelling foods such as garlic, curry, and onions, can seep through your pores and cause body odor. |

oriaburefarms: In Lagos where we are suppose to plant trees in our compounds, we cement it all around to the last inch. Nobody thinks about how well-placed plantings offer privacy and tranquility by screening out busy street noise. It seems that when we finish building our mansions we forget, or i rather say,we understimate the importants of gardens. We lament about heat in our country and seem to forget that trees reduce on-site heat buildup, decrease runoff and enhance night time cool down and not to talk about fresh oxygen it release and carbon dioxide it absord from our polluted air. So our objective is to educate our fellow Nigerians about the importances of grown-up trees. We are already walking towards it. We however found out that the average nigerian believes that seedlings survives more than the already grown-up plants when tranplanted to the ground; we are here to prove otherwise. We have seedling and grown-up plants for sale. With my 12 years of horticutural experience in Italy I hope i can contribute greatly to ecological problems in Nigeria.

I was truly shocked that was a new shirt I was wearing for the 1st time after my brother brought it down from abroad. Embarrassed was an understatement. Guess my performance was more important to them than my "washed shirt" cos after less than 24hrs after the interview I was called that I was successful and being invited for 2nd stage interview this weekend. Now I am not taking chances... I have bought a brand new smart suit! Please can one also wear senators to an interview though I have never tried it. That's also a corporate wear isn't it? spyder880: I am building many of these type of flats in many parts of Enugu, Owerri and Port Harcourt. These buildings bridge the gap between the huge housing demand and the provision of affordable housing.
We look out for modesty, a housing unit where the masses can live in relative privacy in each unit while also being able to afford the rent. You can agree with me that if we built only single homes in each land, many average families cannot afford the rent.
While I brainstorm daily on bits and pieces of improvements I can add to these buildings, I am also limited in the things I introduce. You cannot introduce lifts and some power plans because of our power problem in the country. But we still try to improve where we can.
Can anyone show me a better model of housing that will utilise the land, give comfort to the renters while making good profit for the landlords? I understand what you are saying and i agreed with you, but just the same concept and a little design changes can be better and cheap for common man. This is better then what we are doing right now.
