With the present agreement to fund the project the losers are still the Igbos because they will pay to use it for 25 years until the government 28% and the private company that is put the 78% got there money and after that we will still be paying for it. And as for Buhari starting work on the project, Nigerians should no that work was ongoing during and after election, so for Nigerians to believe that GEJ abandoned work on that project was a lie. Buhari stopped the work on the site according to his reasoning to review the agreement, then I thought he will fund the project as any other federal funded projects across the country but no. So please i ask why stopping an ongoing project when no change on how to fund it or amend the agreement the last administration entered into. All the federal roads or bridges across the country are toll free but Niger bridge will not be. My people GEJ/Buhari none of them did you any good favor when it comes to second Niger bridge project you are just borrowing money to be payed back in the next 25 years through tolls. That is the truth.

I have an uncle who was once like this... He bought nice cars for everyone around him and lived big... He was literally one of the Lagos big boys... His biggest mistake was throwing a big party in his village just for show off, all the way from Lagos... As I am typing this now, he is barely surviving; all the doors are literally shut... The governor of the eastern heartland, Gov Rochas Okorocha has declared a 3 week public holiday in Imo state.

According to the Pulse Ng, the governor made the declaration during the Imo Day thanksgiving service over the weekend.

The officers and men of the Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘C’ Owerri has continued to record success in its anti-smuggling drive in the zone with seizures of items worth millions in duty paid value.

The seizures include a MAN diesel truck with registration number KRV 238 XB carrying 725 different brands of 50 kg smuggled rice with duty paid value worth N24,650,000 along Calabar/Cameroun border axis. A trailer truck with registration number GBB 85 XA suspected to be carrying adulterated diesel petroleum product was also intercepted along Aba-Owerri road.

In a similar operation, a 1X40 FT container with marks numbers MRKU 254564 loaded with 1,017 sacks of 50 kg cannabis (Indian hemp), worth N16,000,000, was intercepted at Benin-Shagamu road.

Giving a narrative of the seizures to newsmen in a briefing, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Garba said the suspect connected to the cannabis seizure – James Idoko who claimed to be a student, presented copies of fake customs documents and attempted to bribe Customs operatives with N350,000 for his release.

The cannabis, the suspect and the exhibit of N350,000 were handed over to the Principal Staff Officer (Operation and Intelligence) of the NDLEA Edo State Command Timothy Adewole for further investigation.

The Customs Area Controller regretted that the desire for foreign products by some Nigerians has continued to affect the economy of the country negatively. He called on Nigerians to look inwards as the Government is trying its best to encourage local industries which will in turn create job opportunities for the unemployed.

He therefore advised Nigerians to imbibe a greater sense of patriotism in line with “the change begins with me” mantra recently launched by Mr. President by eschewing all acts and conducts inimical to the nation.
