deomelo:Inasmuch you did not understand my comparison which is mainly the number, a mere 76 units not 76 buildings for how many people. To me, that is a laughable project for country with 17 million housing deficit. I hope you have seen the one that was completed in Imo state it is the same plan all over the country and it is shame. I ask again is this what the giant of Africa has to offer to 170 million citizens. As for Kilamba city in Angola, your 2012 article is old which is not the reality today on ground, where are the world bank and BBC that term it ghost city where are they, now your argument is occupancy rate. My argument is let Nigeria do what Angola is doing if you built they will come let Nigerian government take the bull by the horn and stop all the mediocre and all the wound dressing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8YPch7dHEA |
deomelo:As you put it all that glitters is not gold, but it may not be gold but at least it is shiny. As you wanted to educate me with information that was 4/5 years old, just to let you know that the $3.5b you are talking about was for the city the call Kilamba city. kilamba city 2016/2017 is city well occupied with activities and the picture i put up is different from Kilamba my dear, that picture is a mass housing project for low income. If a country like Angola can borrow $3.5b to built a city like Kilamba for its citizen why can't the giant of Africa at least let Nigerian government build a mass housing for its citizens first then let worry later if it will not be occupied. It is time we citizens stop defending visionless, incompetent government and politicians. And for your information, this is a pictures of $3.5b Kilamba city

ThinkSmarter:The architecture may not be appealing to you but the difference are they are building with proper infrastructures, like well planed streets, drainage, not open drainage, sewage system not soakaway 16th century technology, water and so on, not all the mediocre projects. |
Amberon:Do you have the evidence to prove her guilty please if you have let Nigerians know. |
Amberon:Please I'm not supporting anyone i was not there, but the difference in Ruth case, it was a rumor she did not know how it started. Daniella Okeke has the right to file a lawsuit because Stephanie otobo publicly mention her name on a news conference with her own mouth, that is defamation character unless she can prove what she said with evidence. |
deomelo:Completed or not there is this saying, by their fruit you will know them. The point i was making of which you did not understand me was, its time Nigeria start doing big things not 76 or 78 units of housing for the masses without supporting infrastructures. And as for Fashola building the best housing estates in Nigeria, still the difference are clear. The problem we have in Nigeria is that mediocrity has became way of life and i wish you go back pull up the best estates that Fashola built and compare with the one in this picture you will see the difference.

metro4:Why can't Nigeria take this opportunity to do this the right way for once. Just look at this mass housing in Angola. Please whatever that worth doing, please let do it well.

naptu2:Words = look at the tree, Story = the lady on red page = the man lying on the sofa Book and Novel =the man with eyeglass Read= the little girl on the floor. |
Abagworo:My Imolites Abagworo said we all should turn to stealing to use the money to develop our state.LOL |
Abagworo:I'll continue to ask questions with authority because Imo state is my state and i has a stake in it. If you don't like my questions oh well, but please if you have the answers please share, will love to be informed. As for the university being a win win situation for Ndi Imo i disagree with you. If its true that state money was used in anyway that is corruption and for any Imolite who does not see anything wrong in shortchanging Ndi Imo I'm afraid something may be wrong somewhere. |
discusant:You just asked the question i was about to ask. He is taking state funds to build a private university, how much did he pay for the land and is it not the time for him to explain who are the other partners in this venture and also the modalities. |
Abagworo:resident and university you compare.
|
Abagworo:Yes, the buildings look good and the materials used are also good but he is building a university, not residential homes. Just compare this luauda Angola university, this is what other small African countries are doing we call our country giant of Africa. My people it is the time we stop praising mediocrity. If he wants to build a university let it be a university not all this glorify secondary schools. And FYI just because its government projects that are not an excuse to carry out substandard and ugly projects, please we deserve at least a decent projects in our state don't you agree.

Abagworo:What does Okorocha see in this ugly green roofs? Just compare Okorocha's buildings to this simple architectural design. The cost of the ugly roof can even offset the cost of the glass cladding.

Abagworo:What do Okorocha see in this ugly green roofs. Just compare this buildings, The money used in building the ugly architecture can |
sinistermind:Yes Igbos , How many investments does yorubas has in Igbo land? As i said one Nigeria is not just by slogan. |
henryanna36:When it comes to one Nigeria, we Igbos are the only tribe that really practice one Nigeria not by mouth but by deed, other tribes, its just a slogan. So my people i really don't see anything wrong with it, this is what we Nigerians need to be encouraging. |
Abagworo:My people please can anyone explain to me what does it take to plant grass. Why do we as individuals and government can't understand the importance of landscaping. Planting grasses, flowers and trees prevent erosion. Our topography are prone to erosion and our children are not suppose to be expose to respiratory problem just because they want to acquire education its not fair. |
Phealipo:Look i understand we want some of this ministers changed but to be honest with you it will be business as usual, there is something fundamentally wrong with us Nigerians. Nigeria is like a poultry farm that produces eggs whenever we buy the eggs and break it , its always rotten and until Nigerians seat up to find out why the poultry farm produces rotten eggs we are not going anyway as a country. We are not a serious country. Just look at how our young minds in this site "Nairaland" display their ignorance and their lack of seriousness. For us to get the kind of leadership we all desired in our country we all has to ask ourselves a lengthy questions because our problems are self inflicted. |
marshalcarter:Please my question was about electricity, but not to kill anyone. |
Nigeria energy problems are partly corruption and government bureaucracy. My solution in solving Nigeria power problems are as follows, 1- Power need to be decentralized let federal government just handle the regulatory aspect. 2- States should go to big companies like GM, Siemens, EDF and many others. 3- Allow the companies to handle the generations, transmissions and distributions. 4- States should bring in solar companies to establish factories make it cheap for individuals and work with banks in guaranteeing individual loan for solar installation in their homes and businesses. GEJ's idea to privatize the power sector was a good one but the problem was the implementation which is always Nigerian problem. Instead of looking into the finances of the said discos all the did was bring in cronies to bid. They would have given a minimum on the companies assets at least in billions some of this discos can even do a reasonable up grade in their facilities. GEJ only privatized the generations and distributions aspect and still left the transmission. |
Doug07034780891:Inasmuch as that tunnel is rat hole, substandard, this picture is not the tunnel or is there another one? |
LivingHuman:Our president is not well at all, he is a shadow of himself i pray he get well but please can't he just resign and really look out for his health. What are all this power people are willing to die for. |
Sanchez01:Sir who are the host, why will someone or people call guest in their own father land if i will be called a guest in my own country why are we together why one Nigeria? You are chastising the Igbo guy by using the word 'stupidity' Inasmuch as i find the two individuals behavior to be childish, he didn't name the dog Muhammad because he wanted to ridicule Muslims just coincidence the guy's name was Muhammad, it could have been Ali but it is Muhammad if anyone can't handle insult don't dish it out. Muhammad bought a dog and named the dog Ibere and Ibere in turns bought one and named the dog Muhammad. No one has monopoly in insult. |
martineverest:As you said you don't support violence like wise, but please go back and read the post again because you did not understand what the story was all about. |
Paulpaulpaul:Thieves stealing documents Okay |
realGURU:If you grow up in the early 80's of which i doubt, China was called worst and you should realize that no technology or invention is perfect. China today was not China in the 80's because of government and citizens supported their efforts. They did not give up when other countries where making caricature of their products. |
CastedDude:One of the problem we have in Nigeria is in display, celebrating mediocrity. The money used in show of shame in the name of commissioning would have been used to buy more sophisticated equipment for this hospital. |
dre11:My people, this is not our Igbo tradition where i come from, this is just greed my people. There is difference between inheritance and purchasing with once money, if she bought the land as a gift to her father than that is a different thing altogether. |
Abagworo:What does it take to plant grass? why our government find it difficult to incorporate good landscaping in its projects. Yes you built blocks of class rooms, but why will kids go to school to be exposed to chronic lung diseases? |
ijustdey:So there are no worthy individuals in my state to be an ambassador. I cry for Imo state, Rochas, Rochas, Rochas how many times did i call your name. |
jbcul4ril:Ignorant is a disease |
