PoliticsRe: Kenya Mall Under Attack From Islamic Terrorists (Pictures) by adino(m): 9:00am On Sep 22, 2013
claremont: My condolences to the families of the bereaved.

I trust the Kenyan Army to rout out the terrorists, the Kenyan army are one of the most well-trained and well-equipped in Africa. The pictures clearly show their finger on the trigger guard which is a display of a high level of trigger discipline, minute details like this is what separates a well-trained army from a rag-tag Al Shabab militia.

The battle against terrorism might be a long tortuous one, but eventually the good will always prevail against the bad as long as it takes.
Beautiful, well thought out and crafted post, but when it happened in Nigeria will you still type it like this or simply blame G.E.J and rain curses on Nigeria.

Nigerian army are far ahead of the Kenya's in terms of intel, kits, actions, ruggedity and all. But most of us never, ever praise them.
We simply praise other countries to high heavens and give them reasons for their short-comings. Terrorism is a global trend nurtured by the USA, which they cant even control anymore. The fight against terror is a long and tortuou:s one, we should all pray for strenth to win it.
Let us all give our country Nigeria this same commitment. So much for patriotism.

PoliticsPhotos of Apc Mayhem: Police, Fayemi Thugs, Nurtw Disrupts Bamidele Rally by adino(op): 8:51pm On Sep 20, 2013
Progressive politics indeed, I laff in progressivism.

Commercial and vehicular activities were paralysed in some parts of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Thursday as some hoodlums suspected to be members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria and National Union of Road Transport Workers, took to the street apparently to foil a campaign rally organised by a member of the House of Representatives, Opeyemi Bamidele.

Bamidele, who represents Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 at the National Assembly, was to formally declare his governorship ambition in the state on Thursday.

The hoodlums, who took to the streets as early as 7am, barricaded the Ajebandele Road, Ajilosun area up to Okeyinmi junction in Ado-Ekiti.

The group, led by RTEAN state Chairman, Mr. Rotimi Olabiwonu, brandished dangerous weapons such as guns, cutlasses and clubs.

They drove dangerously around the town in a convoy in a manner that traumatized the people and intimidated other road users.

A detachment of the Police from the Ekiti State Police Command later dispersed Bamidele’s supporters from the venue of the rally. The heavily armed and stern looking policemen used tear gas on Bamidele supporters and also arrested some of them.

Majority of those who were arrested wore vests with inscriptions such as ‘Ekiti Bibire Coalition’ and ‘MOB’ which are the political acronyms of Bamidele’s campaign slogan.

The anti-riot policemen reportedly fired live bullets into the air, thereby causing confusion with many people scampering to safety and leaving many people injured.

Some of those who sustained injuries were reportedly rushed to a private hospital at Basiri area of Ado Ekiti.

Investigation showed that Bamidele arrived at Ado-Ekiti enroute Akure at about 12:37pm in a long convoy and was received by a large crowd of supporters at Mobil area, Ajilosun.

The procession was initially peaceful with Bamidele moving in a long convoy and responding to cheers from his supporters.

Heavily armed policemen in patrol vans later dispersed the crowd.

Bamidele’s governorship declaration was scheduled to take off at Ajilosun and terminate at his Bibire campaign headquarters.

Operatives of the State Security Service, the anti-riot policemen and soldiers were drafted to some flashpoints within the state capital.

In his reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Victor Babayemi, said the drivers had earlier struck in the morning. He said, “The police must be proactive to prevent breakdown of law and order.”

On the rally, he said, “Bamidele sought a permit from the police to hold a meeting with his supporters and party members and we wrote a letter to him that in-as-much as we were giving him support and the security he needed to hold the meeting, we referred him to Section 99 of the Electoral Act 2011 as amended.

“That particular section of the law says that no political party should start campaign 90 days before an election.

“Therefore, we told him to do whatever he wanted to do within the confines of his secretariat. But to our surprise it was not actually a meeting but a campaign and the crowd spilled over to the road. They carried placards and campaign posters in the form of a procession.

“He started campaigning for the governorship office that had not been declared vacant by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

“We are duty-bound as law enforcement agents to disperse that crowd. That assembly was a clear violation of the Constitution.”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State has described the incident as unfortunate and disappointing. The state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Pastor Kola Oluwawole, said, “The violence that erupted today is unwarranted, condemnable and unfortunate. This is a sign of what we would likely experience in 2014. The PDP has been crying and calling the attention of the public to the fact that the politics in Ekiti has become violent under the present government.”

The truth is that the Alago militia set up some Eggon youths and had them arrested, as if that was not enough they also beat up two Eggon men to the point of death. It seems the Fulani and the Government of Nasarawa state are using the Alago's against the Ombatse. But, the truth is that Ombatse and Alago are neighbours, so Alago will bear all the brunt when ever any skirmish occur's.
The Alago youths have been aligning with herdsmen to torment Eggon people right from the onset.

Instead of Alago to join Eggon to develop their State, they are busy fighting themselves.

Very Very interesting thread, where are the pastors and bible mis-quoters hmm. They have all ran away. I am a Catholic Christain, But personally I am a Free Thinking Christians. One thing that is very clear is that the present day Christianity is a man made religion and certainly not what Jesus Christ would want us to be. The funny thing is that Our Lord's name was actually not Jesus, we (men) Re-Christened Him. His name is actually ''YASHUA''.
Up till this day and age certain Christian Denomination still call Him ''YASHUA''.
Things are definitely not what they seem to be.

All hail the chief renegade, cry baby rebel.

http://www.naijapundit.com/news/amaechi-once-closed-up-paralell-pdp-office-in-his-state

The former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Austin Opara, has condemned the arrest of 12 members of a faction of the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at their parallel party office at No.25 Ohaeto Street, D/Line in Port Harcourt yesterday.

Opara told P.M.NEWS on phone that due to the frustration of some members of the party in the state, and the refusal of the leadership of PDP at the national level to intervene in the party’s crisis, other stakeholders decided to form a parallel PDP.

According to Opara, “our faction of the party is led by Chief Lolo Ibineye, former campaign manager for Celestine Omehia and also Commissioner. We learnt that the Rivers State Government would be taking the 12 arrested party supporters to court this morning.

Asked if the arrest of the supporters of their of faction of PDP would not frustrate the effective take off of the structure of their faction, he said: The arrest of our supporters is good because for once it helps to bring to the fore that there is parallel faction that would give voice to those who have been shut out in the activities of the present leadership of PDP in the state. People now know there is opposition and parallel PDP in the state.

He accused the present leadership of PDP in the state of lack of internal democracy as the PDP secretariat in the state is permanently under lock. He dismissed the claim by the state government that they are “cultists and party thugs.”

However, in an earlier statement on behalf of the Rivers State Government endorsed by Magnus Abe, the Secretary to the state government, SSG, last night claimed that “information received by the security agencies in Rivers State indicate that today, Monday, August 09, 2010, some hired thugs and cultists had gathered at a house somewhere in Port Harcourt and were conducting themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace.

“The security agencies on receiving the report acted swiftly to contain the situation, whereupon their political paymasters emerged.

“It is clear, therefore, that the actions of these persons were sponsored by the so-called Abuja Group, with a clear intention of trying to use violence to create some disturbances in the state capital to attract attention.

Abe said further that “Hoisting the Peoples’ Democratic Party flag, over that kind of activity cannot give it any kind of legitimacy. Clearly, the security agencies cannot fold their arms to allow developments capable of causing the breach of the peace.

“The Rivers State Government has gone over and beyond the call of duty to make the state safe for diverse opinions to thrive.

“Meetings of our Political opponents are held daily in the state, and we encourage them and protect them, because we not only believe in democracy and the rule of law but we stringently believe and practice it.

“However, the laws of the land should be respected by all. The police will investigate the incident and the law will take its course, regardless of whose ox is gored.”

Meanwhile, a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the PDP called “Restoration Team,” Jerry Needam, said: “The Rivers State government made good its persistent threat of silencing opposition in the state as over 200 PDP members were rounded off by security operatives in Port Harcourt.

“The party members who belong to parallel faction of PDP in the state were at the time of their arrest meeting at the Party Secretariat office located at 25 Ohaeto Street,D/line, Port Harcourt.”

The faction recalled that “Sequel to prolonged crisis in Rivers PDP and the divisive tendencies of Governor Amaechi’s Administration, which have engendered apathy and disharmony in the party, a faction that felt aggrieved and disconnected had to break away and establish a parallel PDP secretariat in the state to save the larger PDP from imminent collapse in the state and most importantly ensure that the South-South region and the Niger Delta succeed in ensuring that our son, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan continues in office beyond 2011.”

The party factional Publicity Secretary, Needam, on behalf of the faction called for the “unconditional release of those arrested in connection of with the President Jonathan 2011 project as the problem is an internal matter of PDP which can be resolved internally.

The Arbiter: @13volts

I commend your enthusiasm in sharing with us. The second and third topics in your post were issues i have raised on twitter.

I must however point out a few security details you should observe to safeguard your anonymity and safety. It is no secret that every military command detests unofficial communications to the outside. I am assuming that you are posting incognito (to hide your identity). If i am wrong in this assumption then you may disregard the following comments.

Try to compress and resize your photos before you post them. Not doing so exposes some details which may be used to physically trace you. As an example i was able to obtain the following info from your pics (I deliberately obscured exact details):

Camera type: S********
Camera Model: DSC-**200
Camera Time: ***/***/2014 03:19:08 (You wrongly configured the date to 2014 but the exposure is consistent with time recorded)

Now it would be very easy to narrow down with due diligence the camera used and subsequently you if necessary. Endeavour to use picture utillities like

1. Exiftool (to check embedded info in pictures) or
2. Irfanview (It compresses and also can remove embedded info in pics. It has exiftool in it)

I pray you and your colleagues survive and reap the fruits of yout service to the fatherland

Best wishes
Bro, you killed it. Thanks a million.

Mayor_of_Lagos: I do not dispute that the Prison grounds was attacked, I want your credibility to stand on its own merit. It fails that merit when an image submitted as evidence of terror may indeed have been a destruction in a fire accident. During cold months in the North people build multi-purpose outdoor fire stove for heat and it is not uncommon to see people also brew tea or cook soup on these stoves. After use it is doused with water to extinguish the embers and ashes and prevent fire accidents. Often times the strong harmattan wind helps to blow and spread these hot embers and this in turn can cause an inferno. Northern States have a ver high incidence of fire accidents in the harmattan months. This van was ruined from a fire accident and not from an ammo assault. You can also see deep rust on the head panel of the cage. This happened because the paint lacquer protecting the metal had melted under the heat and exposed the steel panel to the elements. Notice the wheels in front compared to the rear, there is no mistaking this was a fire damage. The bottomline is, as I stated, there is no verifiable means to validate this report, therefore your pictures and your report must be fool-proof. There are people here that will look critically at these reports and submit a conclusion that may call your hardwork and service into question.

On the building and location, ATS in Damaturu was a formation in response to bokoharam. Damaturu was not attacked untill 2011. So ATS was setup there post that attack. Damaturu had a police headquarters, MOPOL division, Army barracks.

Are you saying policy makers omitted the Police Hq, MOPOL division, military premise and housed the ATS, an Anti Terrorism Squad, a strike force, in a residential building? If that were true, then ATS acted as a magnet attracting suicide bombers into residential communities. Not that they could not have gone there to bomb independently but in this instance govt was an enabler of terrorism and liable. Also, how did boko got information ATS was housed there? A bad judgement in policy making. Your report here, if true, gives ground for class action suit against government. Your reporting have consequences. Its an usual position to be therefore it carries unusual responsibility to be totally transparent and not embellish anything. wink
