Most of the people today who call themselves CHRISTIANS, dont know much about the bible except what there pastors tell them. Most pastors also dont know the bible or that they intentionally decieve their congregations or they translate the bible to suit themselves and their pockets.

Back to the topic, no day of the week was written in the bible as the bible predates day of the week.

Days of the week or the calender we use now was invented by Julio Ceasar, and i believe most of you know that the bible and the issue of sabbath predates Julio Ceasar.

Coming to the issue of the sunday being the day of worship of christians, i will refer you to read the story of Emperior Constatine of the Roman Empire.

The day of worship of christians was changed from the sabbath day to sunday(a day the Romans worship there sun god), in 321AD. I dont want to duel on the issues now but will implore you to read for yourself and maybe it will help you know more about the issues of today christians. You will also understand that christianity or religion is all about Power.

I had a similar experience at UCH Ibadan on the night of 21st November. An uncle was rushed there so i was with him. Around midnight, the police brought a guy in there van with a broken leg. They called the matron, who came to check the patient, who was in serious pain and the next thing she asked the police was who was going to food the bill? The poliemen said he was a robber who jumped from a two storey building, but that they(the police) will pay the bill. The matron wasnt convinved and called the welfare, who came and showed sympaty. The welfare lady pleaded with the matron to atleast, give pain killers but the matron vehemently refused saying they dont have any pain killers. I was shocked.
This is the same situation in most Nigerian hospitals. They dont care about anybody except themselves. I was wondering, if the guy in question happens to be someone she knew, will she inquire who will food the bills? Most times, this people still drugs brought by government with taxpeyers money to sell to phamarcies, and come around to tell us government dont do anything.
Its a Nigerian problem, and i think we should change our ways. Same thing happens in most government establishments. They dont do what they are paid to do, instead, they want gratifications or better still bribe before doing what they are paid to do.
Again, i think the NHIS thing is shit. It only covers what most people can afford and i hear its mostly for Civil Servants.

There was a country, i believe is not the type of book someone in the caliber of Achebe should have written. This was a man who during the war lived large to the detriment of the people he claimed to support. He was part of the who enjoyed the food supplied to the people of Eastern Nigeria which was been hijacked by Ojukwu before the blocade that resulted t the death of millions of Eastern Nigerians. I wonder what he(Achebe) would have done if he was in the shoes of the great Nelson Mandela.
