You being a very wise man think that the best way to run and grow an economy is to run after thieves for over one year while the economy crunbles?
just like leaving your gate open to chase thieves from your compound.
Running a country takes more than chasing thieves & perceived political foes.
Other African economeis that borrowed GEJ blueprint are still bouyant while we wallow in self deceit in the guise of fighting corruption.
What has been lost in nigerian economy due to incompetency in managing the economy in the last one year is more than 10 times the $2.1 for which dasuki is being harrassed. As we continue to crucify Dasuki what step have we put in place to prevent repeat of same offence.
Stop deceiving yourself and lying. There is no GEJ blueprint. The man is a fxxcking fisheries zoologist. There was even no Okonjo Iweala blueprint for that matter. If there was we would be self sufficient. Buhari is too small to destroy refineries, factories, good agriculture, good power supply, national airline, LNGs and other things if they were actualky there. Nothing was DONE by Jonathan in his six years in power. The ool price was high and they were circulating money and recording phantom growth.
STOP lying to yourselves and face the truth.
You are importing fuel, you dint have electricity, your universities are shit, you eat imported rice and there is no job for young people. Stop mouthing off about "blueprint".

What inferiority complex, hopelessness, despair and lack of vision would make a young man admire Fayose?. Nigeria's youth is finished. An unintelligent politician, election rigger, thief and brainless thug has become role model.

Fayose should provide evidence to his claims
APC told the US not to sell arms to Jonathan's government and the US obeyed. This is another insult upon Jonathan. Anytime you try to defend Jonathan he appears even more weak and clueless. Jonathan also did not buy Russian weaponry but had to do deals with Ukraine and Belarus companies as if Nigeria was an arms smuggling terrorist organisation instead of a sovereign respected country that could approach governments for deals.
Jonathan was just not astute enough to be President.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Attacks On Soldiers In Kareto by Adminisher: 6:19pm On Apr 18, 2016
ehissi:
Has anyone even noticed that it is foreign media now that is giving us the true position of Nigeria's war on terror!!

Nigeria Media only publicises attacks made by the Nigerian Military and not by Boko Haram!!

Its only Fulani herdmens attacks that Nigerian media reports and even Fulani attacks have been removed from Nigeria's Media Space - because Baba Buhari wanna dash them grazing reserve as part of his promise he gave to fulanis who crosses the chadian border to collect voters card to vote him in!!

Giving Nigerians the illusion that the war against Boko Haram is over meanwhile it just got worse - I will explain why it got worse in a minute!!

I am guessing nobody has heard the new case of mutiny again raised by the GOC Div 7 against soldiers who were abandoned in the middle of nowhere, in a town they liberated but were now under seige from Boko Haram!! Hoping they would be airlifted out; only for the GOC to come in with helicopter and start chausing the soldiers and issuing threats!!

Also, has anyone noticed that the amnesty agreement - between the FG and ND Militants - is systematically being torn up by this government; in light of the resumed hostilities taking place in the Niger-delta against both oil installations and towns believed to be the homes of perceived militants!!

Everyday, outside media reports!! Former militants are picked up and locked up everyday - all in the name of man-hunting tompolo - who happened to be one of the critical actors in demystifying/exposing the structure Of MEND.

Already the Vice-President is calling for the Military to raise a Quick Response force that will be on ground to battle active militants, while the military is still taking hits from a technically defeated Boko-Haram in the North!!

My opinion!!?? Buhari was foolish and undiplomatic in handling Niger-delta affairs. If he is willing to spend $1.5million on importing grass from Brazil to build a grazing reserve for Fulani - that are killing farmers who own the land without mercy - why not continue to pay the Militants fees who are in school abroad till they finish their education and then they are on their own!!

Instead you stop paying and asked them to be sent home, then you go after the points man of amnesty deal in the person of tompolo - that Yar-adua extended the deadline for the surrender to amnesty by one month just to make sure he was enumerated within the program - and you expect oil and power generation levels to be normal!!??

It is unfortunate that Nigerians do not fully appreciate the level of high-handedness and uncharitable and undiplomatic atitude of this government because of how they (ab)use the media!!

Else by now, people will be calling for another change or a revert to status quo!!!
My friend , you are posting rubbish here. No state condones the rubbish you are describing here. What is high handedness with terrorists and militants?. They are supposed to be force fed bullets upon bullets. Don't give me the oft repeated " it does not solve the problem"..heavy hand does solve belligerence. Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Holland, Saudi Arabia and Germany, they hit terrorists very viciously, swiftly and secretly. It is no surprise they have been very successful in keeping away rubbish .

grin and the wastages continued, buhari just wasted 2 million dollars tax payers money on China trip as it was reviled no deal was signed in China.

this statement made many to wonder if bubu actually thumbprint on the deal due to old age as he can't use a pen.

is there any different from PDP and APC when it comes to wastage. ? and if there is. who do you think waste more?
Please stop posting rubbish. Only childish minds will call a trip from Africa's largest economy to the world's second largest economy a waste. Do you guys know how governments function at all?. If you want to criticise Buhari, do it intellectually.

Even if Buhari went for tourism, would the Chinese not bring up serious favourable deals and present on the table?.

Please get serious with your life.

All childish criticisms are degrading the quality of opposition in Nigeria. People are beginning to notice that Murray Bruce is at a higher level than Fayose for instance. Buhari says he has garnered 6billion in new investments, there are big infrastructural projects that they finalised and we also suspect that secret defence deals and arms procurement were also negotiated . China has devalued it's currency and needs to continue conquering markets especially for its steel. Nigeria needs infrastructure and arms . This is not a joke.

Politics › Re: THE ECONOMIST! PMB Has Done It Again. by Adminisher: 2:26pm On Apr 15, 2016
AntiIPOOP:
The school cert holder has done what a PhD holder could not.

Very simple economics. We buy most of our goods from China, so why must we pay the Chinese in dollars? The Chinese buy a lot of crude oil from us, so why must they pay us in dollars?

So PMB made a deal with the Chinese. We pay for the goods we buy from China in Yuan, the Chinese currency. They buy our crude oil and pay in Yuan.

The exchange rate is to be pegged at 30 Naira to one Yuan or RMB.

So how does it favour us? Simple.

The Yuan is now 6.48 to a dollar. So if you pay 30 Naira to the Yuan, that would be equivalent to 194.4 Naira to the dollar.

Since the dollar exchanges for 199 Naira, you save N4.6. 199 - 194.4 = 4.6. Simple, huh?

In simple terms, PMB has just strengthened the Naira by 9.15%!

And that's not the end of the story. As we begin to deal in the Yuan, the demand for dollar would plummet and this in turn would weaken the dollar. It would crash to around 140 Naira to the dollar.

May God bless PMB.
China wisely devalued their currency many months ago to make their markets in the third world more competitive. The low value of the Yuan is also very good for Nigeria.

This is a childish and amateurish piece from Max Amuchie. China gets nothing from scamming Nigeria. There are too many young idxxxs posting stuff these days. And the rubbish about using the loans to buy only Chinese products is childish. All sovereign loaning and aid is like that. Why must you push your street sense standards into it.

China has actually stopped scamming Nigeria with APC government.

The biggest scam run against Nigeria was in generating sets of very poor quality dumped on Nigeria for about 25 years because of NEPA woes but dumb people like this Max did not see that.
All generators Nigeria has ever imported from China are cumulatively the equivalent of about 2 trillion dollars wealth transfer from poor Nigeria to China.
Please Max, you can write fancy stuff to impress Jamb candidates on Nairaland but for we serious people we would take their six billion dollars to complete Mambila and other dams and all the rail lines we want to do. That is much better than the stupidity of importing generators and okada from China for the last 25 years . Our power and infrastructure problems were so bad that Chinese businessmen at one time built entire factories targeting only Nigeria with poor quality gen sets including "I pass my neighbour" and Okadas and Kekes but now we are saying those Chinese billionaires can now relax - we will develop our infrastructure

Politics › Re: Dear Nigerian Youth, Why Aren’t You Angry With This Mess Of A Government? by Adminisher: 9:02am On Apr 14, 2016
The intelligent person does not consider parties as important in Nigeria's fake democracy. What matters is the personality of whoever is the PRESIDENT. The fact that APC has a number of ex PDP is completely irrelevant unless you want to use the argument that all of PDP was BAD and I will agree with you on that one. This argument always cheapens and degrades PDP, yet their supporters always make it.So keep on sinking your party by saying that decampees to APC are making the APC corrupt.

The important thing again is the PRESIDENT. During the Obj regime the only opposition to the President was from his own party. Most of the governors he fought were PDP governors. So the personality of the President is important to the colour of his government. APC 's government is less corrupt for the reason that it's flag bearer is the least corrupt of Nigeria's entire rulling class and he has and is continuing to fight corruption.
Politics › Re: Dear Nigerian Youth, Why Aren’t You Angry With This Mess Of A Government? by Adminisher: 6:44am On Apr 14, 2016
This is one of the best givernments we ever had. You have to stop playing on the intelligence of Nigerian youths. Nigerians are far more clever than you think. If I buy a used car, the state of that car can only be blamed previous owners at least for the first two years of use. If your kid fails an external exam you blame the schools that he / she attended at foundation and middle schools.

It is an insult to intelligence to blame Buhari for fuel and power. PDP has been in power for 13 years and spent collectively 24 billion dollars on it. They later sold the power assets to their friends and incompetent sponsors and did not tackle the distribution infrastructure.

PDP DID NOT BUILD OR EXPAND REFINERIES IN THEIR 16 YEARS OF RULE.

THEY DELIBERATELY FRUSTRATED ALL PRIVATE REFINERY PROJECTS SO THAT IMPORTATION CAN CONTINUE

Buhari can only be said to have failed if he has failed to correct 50 percentthe blunders of PDP by 2019.

Check out the world's greatest beef producers, Nigeria is not among them even in spite of our numerous herdsmen. The Nomadic method of producing livestock is not in any way an improved way of producing beef or diary products. What are the merits of growing cattle the nomadic way that all of the nation should sacrifice for that?

Or that any individual for that matter should expend resources trying to establish it over better methods?

Indeed, what are those special benefits that anyone should expend limited resources in trying to sustain it over more improved methods, or worse still, in trying to foist it on other people's lands?

There are proven advantages to open range grazing. It is the preferred method in the US. Even in germany, cattle farmers are adopting some limited open grazing practices to improve the health of cattle.

All the economic indices has nosedived, investors have fled & you are still counting 30 things to do to revive the economy, for Christ's sake, where were you before the economy crashed, at least you did not inherit a collapsed economy.
The economy crashed with Jonathan. They could not sell oil for many months in 2014. The first thing they embarrassed Buhari with was 2 4 billion dollars owed to marketers. The man had to look for money to pay by all means. The war against Boko Haram and Niger Delta operations is probably costing 20 billion a month.

Personally I am hoping the hard times continue for people who don't realise that what we have now are CONSEQUENCES of PDP mismanagement. If you find yourself as taxi driver instead of university you have yourself to blame a little so you can move forward. If however you think Buhari is the cause , keep it up but you won't go far in life by pampering your self in life.
Angola, Venezuelan, Brazilian economies are practically destroyed but we are still in a better state because Nigerians can reach deep to endure and innovate.

What if he stays back in his palace and sets up or chairs NGOs targeting the welfare of his people in education, Infrastructure and health, won't that be better?
