the fans believe these relationships might end up

Several celebrity relationships have been
publicized to the extent that we couldn’t help but
feel like both parties were meant for each other.

Today, we’ll be taking a look at some relationships
we had high hopes for but didn’t meet our
expectations and it ended when we thought it was
a forever thing.

Here are some of the most publicized Nigerian
celebrity relationships that failed;


1. GENEVIEVE NNAJI AND
D’BANJ

D’banj is one of Nigeria’s biggest music stars, so when he announced that he was in love with popular
actress, Genevieve Nnaji and he gave us a really big hint when he featured her in his ‘Fall in Love’ video, every fan of both celebrities took it as a stunt but with time it appeated that they both actually shared something special.

They were both superstars at the top of their individual careers and it was thought that who was
better for D’banj than Genevieve Nnaji and vice- versa.

After being spotted outside several times, it appeared both called it quits quietly and we didn’t get to learn about that later until D’banj spilled some truth in an interview.

JJC in a recent interview even revealed that Genevieve Nnaji loved D’banj so much and they shared something special together.

If two celebrity pair would have made Nigeria’s biggest couple, it definitely would be D’banj and Genevieve Nnaji.


2. EMPRESS NJAMAH AND TIMAYA

Few years ago, Timaya and Empress Njamah were one of the most talked about celebrity pair as they were all PDA and we loved them.

Both celebrities ended up their relationship in the
most bitter way ever and it was even reported
that Timaya allegedly tried to retrieve the car he
bought for the actress at one time.

Timaya reportedly lashed out on her severally and called her all sort of ‘not so pleasant names’.


3. KCEE AND EBUBE NWAGBO

Popular singer, Kcee at one time in his life got
along with actress, Ebube Nwagbo and when they dated, they were quite a pair.

Their glorified relationship couldn’t take them anywhere as Kcee was already married with two kids.

Both celebrities ended what they had on a lowkey
note and moved on with their individual lives.


4. IYANYA AND YVONNE NELSON

Iyanya and Yvonne Nelson were one of the most talked about couple when they commenced dating in 2012.

These two were quite an item and talk of town as
their relationship got a lot of hype and gossip reports at the time.

It appeared to their fans that these two were made for each other.

Some people assumed Iyanya only used her to
boost his celebrity status and even sang about the
Ghollywood star actress in one of his popular song
when he gushed about having her medicine.

These two also ended their relationship as they
couldn’t see prospects in it. Their relationship is
still one of the most talked about celebrity break-
ups we’ve seen so far.


5. TONTO DIKEH AND DONJAZZY

Star actress, Tonto Dikeh and super producer and Mavin boss, Don Jazzy were once an item a long time ago, way before Tonto Dikeh became a
celebrated actress.

Tonto Dikeh put their relationship in the limelight as she spoke about it in a number of interviews.

The two however ended their relationship as they
couldn’t see prospects and have since moved on
with their individual lives.


6. MONALISA CHINDA AND LANRE NZERIBE

Popular Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda dated popular socialite, Lanre Nzeribe afrer the actress’ marriage ended over allegations of
domestic violence.

The actress even released a statement that they
both were calling it quits as lovers and as business
partners.


7. IBINABO FIBERESIMA AND FRED AMATA

Star actor, Fred Amata and former AGN chairman, Ibinabo Fiberesima kicked off their relationship after the actor’s marriage with his wife, Agatha ended.

Both celebrities welcomed a baby together but
that didn’t stop them from calling it quits and
moving on.

Both celebrities have continued with their
individual lives.


8. BRYAN OKWARA AND BUNMI
ADEMOKOYA

Bryan Okwara is a Nigerian actor and pageant
contestant who won the title of Mr. Nigeria in
2007 and reached the semi-finals in the Mister
World 2007 competition.

The 30-year-old’s relationship with his long term
lover, Bunmi Ademokoya was a celebrated one.
Just like the other relationships in this list, both
parties decided to call it quits after being
together for years.
Bunmi and Bryan have also moved on with their
individual lives.


9. SOUL E AND QUEEN URE OKEZIE

Soul E and Queen Ure were quite an item back in the day as they were a celebrated pair. Everyone even thought they were both married back then.

Soul E shocked everyone when he revealed that
Ure and him were not actually married, as against
what they made people believe when they were
still together.

Soul E has since moved on and gotten married to another woman.


10. 2FACE IDIBIA AND VIEN TETSOLA

2Face Idibia is synonymous with his several
relationships he had before he finally got married.

2Face and Vien Tetsola dated briefly after she became crowned Miss Nigeria in 2000.

11. ENE LAWANI & JOHN OBAYUWANA

Former Miss Nigeria, Ene Lawani was once in a
very serious and romantic relationship with Polo
Boss, John Obayuwana.

Their relationship reportedly came to an end as a
result of pressure from John Obayuwana’s daughter.

Ene was the longest reigning Miss Nigeria from
2004 to 2010.


12. D’BANJ AND JENNIFER OBAYUWANA

Music powerhouse D’Banj dated Jennifer
Obayuwana, whose father is also on this list on
and off for about two years.

Their relationship is one of the few d’banj
relationship that was publicized and confirmed
when it was happening.

Jennifer appears to have moved unto greater
things and is currently engaged to another man.

Guy you have to wise up..........I met a lady around August last year in a bus, my car had an issue and had to follow bus. I was not even in the mood to chat, she started it all, admired my shirt and all that stuff. We got talking from there and she seemed nice & friendly. That was how all the rubbish started.........I asked to take her out, she agreed and said she preferred Ozone center. We went to ozone center, she insisted on eating before the movie ( note, I went to pick her from her house and she's been at home since morning). To my surprise, she did not eat the chicken on the rice and opted to take it home (mogbe!!).... She started behaving stupidly after that day...asking if I could drive her to her colleagues birthday at Oniru, I stylishly turned her down. The following week my fone's screen got damaged and I couldn't call or access my contact. This babe did not call me once for two weeks thruout the period my fone was bad.

I did not waste my time, I got the message CLEARLY and moved on. I saw her afterward and acted like have never seen her before. I could see the surprise on her face. Before you turn me to maga I will dump you bin.

It is so sad that Ladies have turned to be something else, even the working class ones.

I just dumped another one last week when I realized all she wanted was money and food whenever she comes around. This one stays with her parent but even if she's leaving my house at 10 pm she expects me to take her out and buy something for her. They are just gluttons.

My advice to you is this...never should you profess love or intention to date to any babe until you've been friends for sometime. Just stay as friends for a while, assess her and confirm if she likes you too before making your intention known
