You said it as if vampires actually exist in the real world. There is nothing factual about Vampires having or not having fangs. It's all a fantasy, and thus, is subject to modifications. For instance, I can construct my own idea of a Vampire, and equip them with proboscis, instead of the more popular fangs. As a matter of fact, the tv show, Strain did something along that line.

Using 'fact' as I did was in a manner of speaking (& I used it as an observation), I think you need to read the book to understand my view, the vampires were romantized. In all the vampire stories across all myths, there are basic similarities that can not be do away with, it's an enjoyable show still.

For those watching A Discovery of Witches, I have the (All Souls) trilogy if you're interested in reading it, it's all right if you can get past all the wine speak, talk of DNA & the fact that the vampires do not have fangs.
