Phones / Re: The Difference Between Iphone 6 And Iphone 6 Plus by Adrenaline123(m): 3:34pm On Sep 17, 2014
Camera

Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are getting all-new iSight cameras with 8-megapixel sensors, improved autofocus, and larger pixels. There is, however, one difference between the iPhone 6’s and the 6 Plus’s cameras. The 6 Plus features optical image stabilization (OIS) while the 6 gets digital image stabilization.

That might seem like a small difference, but in reality it’s pretty important. OIS uses special algorithms to physically manipulate the 6 Plus’s camera lens to compensate for hand shaking while taking pictures. The result is clearer photos, especially in low-light situations.

Digital image stabilization uses software to try to correct for hand shaking and isn’t nearly as effective as OIS.

So if you want to ensure that you’ll be able to take the best pictures possible at all times, you might want to go for the iPhone 6 Plus. If, however, you want to simply take gorgeous photos and aren’t too concerned about shooting in low light, then the iPhone 6 is fine.
Phones / Re: The Difference Between Iphone 6 And Iphone 6 Plus by Adrenaline123(m): 3:31pm On Sep 17, 2014
Size

Bigger screens mean bigger smartphones. The iPhone 6 measures 5.4 × 2.6 × 0.27 inches and weighs 4.6 ounces. The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, measures 6.2 × 3.1 × 0.28 inches and tips the scale at 6.1 ounces.
That puts the iPhone 6 Plus in the same size category as Samsung’s massive Galaxy Note handset. Cramming a big-screen smartphone like the iPhone 6 Plus into your pants pocket will likely prove a bit problematic, especially if you favor skinny jeans. The iPhone 6, however, should slide into your pocket with ease.

To make sure you can still use the new iPhones with one hand, Apple has implemented a new feature that moves the top of the screen down toward the bottom and within reach of your thumb. To use this, you simply double-tap, not press, the home button. Even with this feature, however, the iPhone 6 Plus will likely be too large for users with more diminutive hands.

In the end, the size of the phone comes down to how comfortable it is for you to hold, so you might want to give it a try at your local Apple or carrier store to get a sense of how large the phone is.

To help make your decision easier, we’ve broken down the major differences between the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. So read on to see which one of Apple’s new phones you should call your own (and stay tuned for our reviews of both, coming very soon).

Display

The biggest difference between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is screen size. The iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch, 1334 × 750 Retina HD display, while the iPhone 6 Plus gets a 5.5-inch, 1920 × 1080 Retina HD screen. Both displays dwarf the iPhone 5s’s 4-inch screen.

If you’re the type of person who loves to browse the Web or watch movies or TV shows on your smartphone, then the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is the phone for you. Sure the iPhone 6’s smaller display is just as gorgeous as its larger sibling’s screen, and 4.7 inches isn’t exactly tiny, but for multimedia content, the larger iPhone 6 Plus is the way to go.
The iPhone 6 Plus’s larger display doesn’t just make for better Web browsing and movie watching; it can also prove helpful for folks with vision problems. The Display Zoom feature, which is available on both phones, increases the size of all of your content, making it easier to see. And, on the 6 Plus’s bigger screen, Display Zoom can be doubly helpful.

The iPhone 6 Plus also gets a new landscape view that gives certain apps a completely different look. That means that if you flip the phone onto its side, the screen rotates to give you a better view. For instance, in landscape view, the Mail app gets broken down into sections, with the left side of the screen showing all your messages and the center and right side displaying your open message.

The iPhone 6’s smaller screen size means it doesn’t support landscape view. So if you’re looking for a smartphone with a display that makes for a more dynamic viewing experience, or if you need a phone that’s easy on the eyes, you’ll want to go for the iPhone 6 Plus.
Of course a bigger screen means a bigger device in your pocket, and one that will be a little more difficult to use with one hand. (We’ll get to that below.) If you don’t think you’re going to be mostly browsing the Web and worry that a 5.5-inch display is overwhelmingly large, then the iPhone 6 is perfect for you.

Politics / CAN President, Oritsejafor, Admits Ownership Of Cash-stacked Jet Seized In S.Afr by Adrenaline123(m): 6:08pm On Sep 16, 2014
A private jet seized weekend by South African authorities with a stack of $10 million in cash meant for arms purchase, belongs to the head of the Nigerian Christian community, the aviation ministry confirmed Tuesday.

Ayo Oritsejafor, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, had however leased the jet to another party, Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, told PREMIUM TIMES, meaning Mr. Oritsejafor had no control over the use of the aircraft.

Mr. Oritsejafor’s church also confirmed the ownership in a separate statement Tuesday. The church said the pastor has a “residual interest” in Eagle Air, a company that manages the aircraft.

“On behalf of Pastor Oritsejafor, we can confirm that although he holds an interest in Eagle Air, the aircraft in question is not operated by Pastor Oritsejafor,” the statement by The Word of Life Bible Church said.

The aircraft was leased to, and is operated by Green Coast Produce Limited since August 2, the statement added.

In an earlier statement, Eagle Air Company admitted ownership of the jet held in South Africa for conveying $9.3 million cash for alleged arms deal.

Two Nigerians and an Israeli were caught with the money allegedly meant for buying and supplying weapons to the Nigeria intelligence services.

City Press, a South Africa-based newspaper had reported that the trio, who are already facing investigations, landed at Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg on September 5, in the jet from Abuja with the money loaded in three suitcases.

The spokesperson for the South African Revenue Service, SARS, Adrian Luckay, confirmed that customs officers became suspicious when the passenger luggage were unloaded and scanned.

In a statement by its General Manager, Emmanuel Ohaeri, Eagle Air Company also claimed holding a “residual interest” in the aircraft, a Bombader Challenger 600, Registration No 808HG.

The company however said it leased the aircraft to Green Coast Produce Limited since August 2.
The statement said, “Our attention has been drawn to press reports in respect of an aircraft (Bombardier Challenger 600, Registration No N808HG) in which our company holds a residual interest.

“We wish to confirm that the said aircraft has since the 2nd of August 2014 been leased to and is operated by Green Coast Produce Limited.

The company and Mr. Ortisejafor’s church advised that all media enquiries in respect of the day-to-day operations of the aircraft be directed to the management of Green Coast Produce Limited.

In yet another statement, the management of Green Coast Produce Company Limited confirmed the aircraft had been leased to it, saying such transactions were normal in the aviation industry.

The company explained that the aircraft was in turn hired from it by one John Ishyaku and therefore would not be liable for any alleged infractions either in Nigeria or South Africa after the hire.

The company’s director, Shima Adun said in the statement that “On the 5th of September 2014 the aircraft was hired from us by a John Ishyaku. The charter to John Ishyaku was upon the following documented terms: (a) Depart Abuja-Johannesburg on the 5th of September 2014 (b) Return to Abuja on the 6th of September 2014 (c) To wait and return with the passengers”.

The company said as with every other aircraft charter company, its knowledge of the cargo carried on the aircraft was in accordance with the information provided by ABC Limited.

“All cargoes were accompanied by passenger who could readily defend the contents. We are not and cannot be privy to any alleged extraneous cargo transported on the aircraft other than that declared in the agreed terms of hire,” the firm said.

“We are not liable and cannot be construed as a party to any alleged infractions, either in Nigeria or South Africa as he case may be, after the hire of the aircraft,” it added.

Sports / Re: Your Opinion About The Super Eagle's Performance Against South Africa? by Adrenaline123(m): 9:04pm On Sep 10, 2014
I watched the 2nd half.
Here are the lags I observed

1. Midfield- there was no centre midfielder to feed the wingers; Musa and Eminike. I put the blame on Mikel, he has faded in recent times, he is slow and tends to slow the game. He doesn't understand the meaning of no 10 jersey, the 10 jersey pushes attack, and equally feeds the strikers, but I only saw him giving haphazard counters and false passes. He has the reponsibility to feed no 7, 11 and 9.

2. Recover speed- whenever the S.Africans pushes an attack and fails, and Nigerians recover the ball, eagles tends to reattack their opponents slowly, this is a very bad tactics because they give the S.A chance to revitalize and strengthen their defence. However, this bad tactics is probably caused by the midfield which must reattack with force and feed the strikers already on the run.

3. Wrong passes- I thought eagles have grown above giving wrong passes but pathetically they still do it, they have not learnt sharp and accurate passes, I must commend Bafana players for their sharp and accurate passes. Whenever the eagles are in possesion of the ball, some player even walk with the ball, some even stand to look for who to pass to, then when the pressure on the possesor increases, he now either gives a long inaccurate counter-pass, or passes it back to the keeper who then shoots the ball away.

Keshi needs to work on the midfielders (we need attacking MFs), attacking speed and passing skills for the defence they just need encouragement and technical advice.
But my best player for today; I give it up for OMERUO . That's what I observered.

you remembered a good strategy, if you can't find your way into the 18, outside shot may work. I wish they will think of it.

I hereby use this medium to appriciate the efforts of everyone comprising the military and equally the civilian who have kept their lives on the line to ensure that the rest of us lay our heads. To the gallant military, may your rifle never jam, and to the furious civilian, may your eyes forever be as sharp as that of the eagle, and to those who had lost their precious lives, I say rest in peace, and also to those who had lost their relations to the war, may Almighty God give you the fortitude to bear the loss.

congratulations!!!
You are welcome to the field of veterinary medicine!!! grin

Note**** Veterinary medicine is not an all comers Job?
You just have to make up your mind right now if you really want to succeed in veterinary medicine because MOUAU-CVM is a college where 100% come in and 20% go out with the DVM probably after 6yrs plus.........
Lol
My free advice now is this
-panic not at what people will tell you about vet medicine.
-vet medicine can only be easy when you make it easy.
-when you get to Mouau frustrated vet students may seem to change your mind but fear not.

-Now Go back and make sure you fall in love with this three wicked guys Biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics if you don't want to write another Jamb or repeat year one in MOUAU-CVM

-the problem is not becoming a veterinary student but becoming a veterinary doctor!
Goodluck and welcome to the College of veterinary medicine

lyricalpontiff: What of Africans?
Innoson Chukwuma
He was unable to go to school and pursue his childhood dream of becoming an engineer due to failure in Jamb exam. So, he ended up becoming a business man but today providence has taken him back to engineering through vehicle manufacturing.

Africans are involved still many to mention.
There is a saying
"If you can't disappear, fly
If you can't fly, run
If you can't run, walk
If you can't walk, crawl
If you can't crawl, hold unto something that moves".
Failure will only have an effect on someone when one becomes susceptible to it.

I have been wondering why power occasionally go off and on. Speaking from my imagination, I would say that they do it intentionally because you won't expect a control switch or key to automatically switch itself on and off periodically whenever it wants. However, another thought came to me, why would power, sometimes, get restored at midnight when everyone is expected to be at bed, does it mean that someone woke up and turned on the power or vice versa. This and more has been on my mind for quite a while now. I would like you to post your views.

In any position one finds himself, one must have an opposition, all am saying is that many must have been aspiring for the seat of power, but he won't step down, egbe beru, ugo e beru, he is not the only one capable of ruling his country, someone else should try and someone else has taken over.
