My little answer to the best of my knowledge.

1. In some schools, it would get you a full ride (Tuition waiver with stipends) while in others half ride (Tuition waiver only). Others might offer percentage scholarship that would not even cover your tuition.

My little advise is to contact the different universities you have interest in. Check for the undergraduate academic contact person or coordinator, and email him (her) tabling your SAT score with WAEC result. Hopefully, he will be in better position to advice you. Read between lines from their replies, and pick up the schools which offers the best possibility of securing one. Spread your options

2. Some universities have in-house evaluation while others don't have, but depends solely on external evaluation companies under NACES.

3. First thing first. Secure admission and full funding. That two stages are nothing. Few Nairalanders can help you make the payment (SIVES) while you transfer the naira equivalent to them.

4. Your choice. Generally, smart casual, professional or normal is okay. Try and make sure that the colours rhyme. Don't be like some that wear flip-on (slippers), or rioting colour trousers (multi-colour, ripped apart jeans) or simple body fitted polo ( as if they are going on most handsome men audition, or to seduce all the females working in the embassy) grin cheesy

I hope, I have been able to clear all your doubts regarding to your various questions.

NB: I'm not aiming for undergraduate program o cheesy

Hey big bro, I appreciate your kindness here...

I have some quick questions..

Is it compulsory to have these exams TOEFL and GRE before one can get admitted to a US university or can there be waiver for it from some universities?

I am going for master in civil Engineering

Thank you.

It's getting so annoying as google playstore has refused to respond to downloading of apps. You click the download or update button and it keeps spinning till eternity. I can't download or update apps from playstore since 3days. Who else has noticed this?

Seems like the lockdown and isolation is affecting them too
Same here ooo, since yesterday I can't download a single app. I just cleared my cache and data, and I have also restarted my phone.

Let me check whether it will work

Romance / Re: Help! I'm Emotionally Wrecked! by Adrenaline123(m): 7:09pm On Aug 12, 2019
pansophist:
My young bro, take heart. The sad truth is, she has found someone better, and you should accept it even if you do not feature in the picture. It's about emotional maturity and letting this just be.

Your next step is to give yourself time, as time has a way of healing things. You'll pass through it, and you'll like yourself better after this. I experienced something you passed through when I was 18, and felt even worse than you, but I was naive, innocent, and didnt understood the timeless truth of female nature, keeping attraction, and stimulating the relationship sustainably. Looking back those times, I could see clearly the mistake I made, and I've refined myself to a point that such could not happen again. And in the unlikely scenario that it does, well, a replacement is around the corner. You should do the same.

It seems to me that your relationship with her is your job, you specialized in loving her and treating her as the best thing, while ignoring your own personal growth. Listen attentively, women DO NOT want to be your goal. They want to be part/beneficiary of it, not the goal. You treated her nice and gave her everything to the best of your ability and probably didn't focus on your growth, and compete with other men in the free world.

You were too available, making you appear as someone with female scarcity, with no option and not a real catch. Also, pursuing her even after her formal declaration for relationship withdrawal is something that men with no options do. You cannot beg a woman into a relationship with you, it's an instant attraction killer. You attract and keep her with the lifestyle you've built for yourself, and the man you've developed yourself to be.

Remember the biblical story of when God told Adam (after eating the forbidden fruit from Eve), that henceforth he would toil the ground for food and survival, and cursed Eve that she will suffer doing child birth? The true meaning of this story is that as a man, you have to be out there hustling, pursuing your goal and fulfilling your dreams, as no woman want to be for a man that is not out there toiling the ground.

She dont want to cry during child birth for man with no purpose, and be amother to his kids. Whether you believe in this story or not, you may comb any other religion, culture, science, and just observe the world around you, you would see that your value as a man is by being resourceful. Women are made, men are born. You see where a woman automatically becomes a first lady or a queen just because her husband is a president or a king? But it doesn't work in the opposite direction, there is no first firstman for the husband of a female president. You should know that women are rewarded for being women, all she has to do is look beautiful, and men and society will reward her. For a man, you must build yourself to be rewarded by women and society.

You're almost depressed (that's if you're not), because you are not pursuing things in the real world that would make her wonder why you do not call her always, that even if she breaks up with you, you're too busy achieving and breaking through to even feel an inch of her jilting you. She is at a stage of her life with male abundance, she wont do anything special and men will find her attracted and seek her commitment. All she has to do is sit back and choose, and if she left you for someone else, it means the other guys playing their game better. Loving her is not playing, buying her gift is not playing, but to play, you must develop yourself to be a good catch. That your presence is enough for her to find you attractive. Any man can save, spend and impress, but not every man is a top dog.

That even if she breaks up with you, in the back of mind, she knows there are younger and far beautiful women out there waiting to take her place, and will question herself if she can get a man in the same calibre as you. Do you think Davido will be worried if Chioma decides to leave him? Davido will laugh at her because he knows that she will be dead lucky to meet a man in his status, and she knows this as well. In every relationship, many young boys are clouded with feelings and love without understanding the power dynamics that is ever present and playing in the background.

I hope you get well, but remember this, you will never loose women chasing money (interpret it as goals, achievements, purpose etc), but you'll always loose money chasing women. Men compete with other men for success, women compete with other women for successful men. If you do not have women competing for your commitment, then you've either not reached there yet, or you're doing it wrong.

Goodluck young blood.

You have lots of wisdom sir. Please never stop finding knowledge.

Politics / Re: I Am Sure Nigerians Have Forgetten About The tanker Victims. by Adrenaline123(m): 1:51pm On Jun 29, 2018
resurgent2019:
Nigerians were depressed about the tragic death caused by the delapidated trucks we put on our roads. But I am sure Nigerians will wake up this morning forgetting about those who died, and refuse to ask the authorities to implement rigorous sedated measures to protect the lives and properties of citizens. It’s not surprising, since non of our family members died in the explosion. We would go to church on Sunday for thanks giving and “serious prayers” for protection from demonic forces who want to “suck the blood” of Nigerians.

We do all these without realizing we are demons ourselves, as we have failed to do the hard work of building a viable and stable society. We let our leaders off the hook because we are a corrupt and evil people. We are just a religious people, we are neither godly nor God fearing. The developed countries who brought religion to us have evolved into a system of institutional bulwark of checks and balances where everyone does his part to make sure that society works. Religion is separated from the state.

Nigeria will continue to witness calamities since our leaders are immune from harm as their wards have been ferried off to these stable societies to study, work and live. While the masses continue to pray for God to fix Nigeria. And our men of God will keep selling false hope to us, while reaping billions of dollars in return. We never chi chumtin. When we are ready, we know what to do.

I sympathize with the families of the dead. Only them know what it feels like to lose precious lives to a system that has no regards for human lives. For the rest of us, let’s continue to “pray” and device ways to escape the many death traps in Nigeria. But for how long will we continue to do that?

Selah.
Nigerians are hypocrites, pray for nigeria, pray for nigeria everywhere, most of us never said a word of prayer.

Of course we all know that the igbos are minorities.. The 2015 presidential elections buttresses the Hausas/Fulanis and the Yorubas as the Majority in this country that without their support then you're no way to go.
Though I'm a proud igbo man from AroChukwu in Abia state but let us tell ourselves the truth that we igbos need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs us

You don't actually know what you are saying, that Igbos are minorities? Do not confuse geographical land mass with population distribution my friend.
35% of Igbos are not residing in the SE if my assumptions are correct, please do a research before making assertions.
Politics / Re: This Is How The Nigerian Government Wants To Defeat IPOB by Adrenaline123(m): 6:25pm On Sep 13, 2017
Afam4eva:
I've been following the back and forth between the Nigerian government and the Indegenous People of Biafra and as much as we try to pass of majority of IPOB members as illiterates, the tactics deiced by their leader, is one that should be studied in schools as a way to fight for a course.

So, Nnamdi Kanu started his radio Biafra by making hate comments, even though considered bad by majority of Nigerians, he wasn't committing any crime as far as i know. I think that was why when he came into Nigeria, they couldn't arrest him because of the hate speeches because it would have sounded so weak an argument to warrant his arrest, so they made up the issue of him bringing in weapons, which was a more germane excuse to arrest him even though we all know it wasn't true but that did not stop the government from keeping him in detention for almost one year. The government knew they were losing especially after the courts granted him bail on several occasions which were not heeded by the powers that be.

Eventually, he was granted bail with very stringent and impossible clauses in a bid to quench the fire. It didn't work because Nnamdi Kanu flouted his bail conditions. They could have easily ordered for his re-arrest for daring to flout his bail conditions but they knew they really didn't have any cogent reason for the re-arrest because they had already flouted the law when they refused to release him initially.

Owing to Nnamdi Kanu's freedom, IPOB has become more assertive than ever before, with more members joining their ranks and the movements keeps gaining grounds as the day goes by. Now, the FG becamse worried and were thinking of a way to defeat this people since they have refused to carry guns or be violent. The best way they thought was to provoke them to carrying guns.

yes, you heard me. The federal government of Nigerians wants to provoke IPOB members to the point that they will carry guns and that would be a perfect excuse for the Nigerian army to declare them a terror group and sniff the life out of them and their movement.

My advise to IPOB is to keep their cool despite the provocations because when you're dead, there's be nobody fighting for the Biafra.
you are making sense!!
