glopatra: I have been wondering why some people still get rejection after German visa interview (Considering the fact that Germany intentionally waved tuition to encourage international students). And these are the questions running through my mind. Elders in the house pls assist with answers to help us learn from thoes who have experienced these things before.
What are the exact information the VOs usually send to the Alien office?
Do they forward all your documents to the Alien office for further verification?
If your work experience as highlighted in your Cv is not really directly related to your chosen Msc program is it a problem ? And do the VO forward your submitted Cv to the Alien office?
And what are the possible rejection reasons people have received before.? 1. All information you give to them are sent to the alien office....interview and document info 2. Yes they forward all your documents for consent (99.9% of the time you are sure it was forwarded comes with an approval) 3. It may not be a problem but I advise you always twick it to ur course 3b. Yes they do. 99% of rejections I have seen so far will be to the following reasons 1. Course taught in German and no adequate German knowledge yet 2. Going for language courses alone(even people going for language course than proceeding to university, I always advise they do nd complete the language course here in nigeria before applying for visa) 3. Going for a different course than what u did in ur undergraduate( with no substantial and convincing reason said in ur interview nd Motivational letter) 4. Bad visa Interview or Bad Motivational letter 5. Sponsorship Letter (financial power of d person giving the sponsorship letter not adequate) The remaining 1% I cannot fantom the reasons |

I applied for my Visa on Sat 10pm at night.
Got a reference code too to wait for 2 months
Now I'm looking at the website and they say no more AD.

Eldeee: Bros abeg no put fear for the guy body, Lol. The usual practice at Abuja embassy is they collect your passport after interview and return all your documents to you as opposed to what is done at the Lagos consulate. This has been the practice over the years as far as I have known.
As regards the stamping, it's normal if you travel to our West Africa neighbors with your passport, people who don't have to pay something to be given a pass. And moreover I don't think embassy will be is interested in such as its not schengen countries or some other high profile countries of the world. Thanks for the info....but I do not think verifying stamp will put fear into anyone Sir.....my opinion doh...Thanks once again |

MicroMo: My interview transcript Arrived at the embassy in abuja around 7am. Friendly security men and staff. I didn't know the woman waiting to interview me will be something else.
So fast forward to the interview
Immediately she saw my passport photograph with Red background, she change am for me o That my application will be rejected. I sha begged her, and she said if it gets rejected, that I am on my own. Pleaded with her to let me send another set of passports after the interview, she said no. And you know abuja na, before you even see where to snap passport, you go Don Waka taya, so I decided to just go ahead with the interview
She arranged my documents herself.
She checked my originals, and gave me back. But kept my international passport.
So the interview questions were the normal stuffs
1. What's your course of study 2. Why did you choose this course 3. Of what benefit will this course be to your career 4. What do you know about germany. I told her a lot about german economy, she then said I should say something about Germany politically 5. What do you intend to do after your studies? 6 who is sponsoring your studies? 7. Have you funded? That's all.
Guys that woman in abuja isn't friendly. I asked other people at the embassy, and they said the passport photographs doesn't matter that since they took my biometrics, i'm good.
Na God hand I dey so. God help me. They retained your International passport? Do you have any other country passport stamp on it? |

seungold1929: Good morning guys, please I have some questions regarding the documents to take for interview:
1. Is the hand written motivation letter the same as the one I used to apply for admission at the university? Is there any format? How many copies?
2.should the visa application form and signed declaration form be hand filled or typed?
3. Should My certificates and transcript be certified? If yes can it be done by notary public? How many copies each?
4. What is the size of the passport photographs to take and what color should the background be?
5.can my mother's passport photograph be used for my declaration of age?
Thank you your response, may your knowledge never run dry. 1. You should make some adjustment to it, remember for the school you wrote on why u should be given admission but now u are writing on why you should be given visa to study in germany For tips check. https://wanderwisdom.com/misc/How-to-Write-Your-Statement-of-Purpose-For-German-Student-Visa2. Either handwritten or typed any one is permitted 3. For visa interview your certificates do not need to be certified, just submit the original and two photocopies of each 4. Requirements for passport The photograph specifications for any short-term Schengen visa application are: Two identical photos. Not older than six months. Photo size: 35x45mm. Background colour: White /light grey Head should take 70-80% of the photo. Brightly colored background. Light grey is suggested. No patterns. The applicant should be looking straight at the camera. Neutral face expression. No smile and mouth closed Avoid uniforms or colors matching the background. 5. if you mother is the person disposing to the affidavit of declaration of age than u can include her passport on one side then urs on the other side(optional nd not compulsory) |

Harrycul: Hi Everyone, good morning.
To gurus in the house, I need your advise the below issues.
1. I have gotten my masters admission from Kiel University (Quantitative Finance, to resume 1st of October 2019) but I'm currently trying to raise the blocked account money of 8867 Euro as quick as possible. Pending when I fully raise the money, do you advise I go ahead submitting my visa application now due to how long the process, then before my interview date would have paid the blocked account money? Are there any negative implications to doing this?
2. What blocked account company is best to use, Coracle or Fintiba, bearing in mind that Coracle gives free travel insurance, do not request for health insurance payment till you get to Germany and do not deduct any monthly charges.
3. What is the best travel insurance you advise I utilize?
4. Trust I can obtain a birth certification from Lagos High court.
5. What's the best time to send in your student visa application? and which is the surest application route on going it?
6. When is the best time to apply for accommodation? 1. can go to the interview with just you block account opening confirmation and fund same after the interview its no problem. 2. Fintiba has also stood the test of time but though Coracle is upcoming as they just started their block account platform..still recommended though 3.Coracle as they offer free travel insurance in so far as you contract to be their customer for your health insurance when you get to Germany 4.No you cannot but instead you can do a declaration of age at the high court which is also accepted by the embassy whether or not you were born before of after 1992. Note it should be done by your head of your family i.e your father or mother and in the case where both are unavailable you can use you elder sibling(if you intend to use your elder sibling for the age declaration include a clause in the affidavit stating that he/she was present as at the time you were born or he/she was to by ur parent that u were born on....... As soon as you get you admission, the embassy says you can apply 3months to your resumption but many people have applied even four to five months to their resumption which is even safer The only route is the german embassy in nigeria and also stages of education are okay e.g BSC, MSC, or PHD, the only one we wont advise is goingfor language school alone without admission added to it because we have seen many of such cases refused and most times referred to goethe(a german language school in nigeria) studies. 6.Imediately you get admission because spaces get filled fast especially in big cities e.g berlin u may have to even apply like 7months to your resumption date |
