Hallo leute....

Attached is a screen shot of the visa application form. What am supposed to fill in the space provided for residence permit?
Leave both empty...u dont have a resident permit reason been that you are at the moment using only ur Nigerian passport with a prospective visa stamp to gain entry into germany

Nothing to worry about. Just go with both passports. Don't cancel and rebook cos there are a lotttttttttttttttt of people who booked since last week and haven't gotten dates yet.
So just go with both passports on ur date. And show them to your VO. normally, ur new passport would carry all old information.
Someone here has done that before, and is currently in DE
I totally wanted to agree with you because his new passport will contain both his old and new passport number but my only fear is that his passport expired since 2017 meaning he had a long time to renew same but didnt.

I'm currently in a fix right now. Just applied for appointment at the embassy but did booking with my expired passport and I'm yet to receive my renewed passport which should be around next week. Now I was just informed that my passport number will likely change( I wasn't aware about this) as against the one I used in booking appointment. What do you guys think I should do? The passport expired 2017. Should I cancel the appointment or mail them and explain.

[quote author=odogwudozilla post=77982410]I have a question:

If as a Nigerian citizen you have a residency permit in say, the Netherlands, can you apply for a student visa to Germany from the Netherlands (or perhaps go to Germany yourself from the Netherlands, courtesy of Schengen) without having to go back to Nigeria?

If u have a valid residency you can apply, u dont have to come back to Nigeria.

I lose hope... Let me try UNILAG.
My brother if u are determined u can pay up date fee some of the university require u to pay only the first semester fee or non self until u get there!!!! So u can sacrifice a lot by working hard on ur sesmester break or during intership to pay up.

Thank you so much guys. So I conducted a search and I found out that most universities in Germany collect close to 9000 euros fees for their masters in law- LL.M.
The cheapest I found is University of cologne - 8000 euros and it's fully English teaching.
So after following this page for ages, I guess Germany ain't meant for us.
Thank you guys for the info and assistance so far.
In case, you know any school with free tuition or a subsidised tuition for masters in law please don't hesitate to update the page.
Like i told u!!!! But i know of two that is within 5500. But its still way cheaper than law school in US and even some canadian university except u have a scholarship attached to it.

Good day my People. Pls kindly help and guide me tru. I already got my admission letter for september resumption, i intend to use a sponsor letter for my financial capacity. My question is this, can i go ahead and book for interview appointment while waiting for my sponsor letter.

If yes, please wat are the other documents and proceedure i need to book a date for interview.

Pls some should kindly answer my question. I am a new baby here. I beg oooo
Yea, you can go ahead to book an interview date, dates are now in june so surely ur sponsorship letter can be ready before then if ur sponsor hasten up.

You only need ur full name, email and passport number to book an interview appointment.

at last... All I have been seeing so far are science related course applicants. Are there no Arts related courses for masters in Germany? Anything law related please?
There are art related course but even if u get admission, it may be difficult for you to convince the visa officer on why u are switching from law to art related courses.

Also there are masters of law courses in germany but over 97% of them are with tuition fee the few 3% that are free are taught in german and very restricted(meaning the admission space is limited)

The ones taught is english language are with tuition fee with an average of 5000euros, you maybe lucky to see that of 3000euro but admission is very restricted still.

So if you are looking to do your masters in germany, u do not only look for the 8829euro for block account but also tuition fee like i have said.

Goidluck on your search!!!!
Germa place to study!!!

Okay you have a point. I appreciate
There’s still a problem tho, and it’s coming from us. I don’t think there are as much people who have applied to schools and are expecting Admission letter than there are available dates given by the embassy. People are booking this thing anyhow. It can be an Agency or Agencies for all you know or different individuals because if you take a look at Ghana for example, you can check now and get an interview for tomorrow morning.
The embassy is also releasing their dates daily
And they have as much prospective students from Ghana as you have from Nigeria
So why’s theirs different?
Nigerians are always funny and yes agencies do book especially those touts u see at the embassy!!! That why when u meet them for a date they always have, selling them at outrageous prices...
Corruption has eaten up almost everyone of us in nigeria
