CES is actually faster as of now . Because iqas are still sorting out their numerous back logs .

The major thing that delays with CES is acceptance of transcript . I submitted profile feb 23 .
My transcript left Naija month end got to Canada March 9 and signed by the security . It took them one month to upload my transcript as there were plenty mails with only two clerks .

CES even via email still takes 15-20weeks and courses 25-30weeks.... with the present situation of IQAS, I might have to say iQAS 2021 is now faster

Yes IQAS is still accepting but they have limited applications they can take in a day...if u want to, u have to be online and apply at exactly 8:15 Alberta Canada time that's 3:15 nigeria time.

From the way things are it is normalizing and fast...some even get evaluated in 8-10weeks but the normal time is 14weeks now

It is usually done via responding to the email from WES by also email...not courier service.

She cannot add them as they are ineligible even she wish to sponsor them..for relatives they must be orphans and below the age of 18 therefore her brother do not qualify...the the nanny is outrightly ineligible

Please IQAS and ICES evaluation which is faster and better for a Bachelor of law (LLB) degree certificate for the purpose of Canadian immigration?

I want the evaluation body to regard the LLB certificate as a professional certification with a quick turn around.

Truth is that both CES and IQAS will evaluate your LLB degree as a professional degree but CES is 15 to 20weeks if you submit your transcript by email directly from your university and 25 to 30 weeks if you submit by courier...IQAS says theirs is 14weeks for any method.

At first I taught CES was faster because they said IQAS had backlog but now I have notice people get theirs even within 8weeks why others are unlucky...

Therefore with the situation of what I have assessed so far I advice you go for IQAS..

I have a pending application with CES but I want to start IQAS now because I believe I might be faster.

Yea please do..like mine was ambrose alli University, I paid verification fee of 5000naira...this is excluding money I paid to fast track it because they claim its stress looking for d email as they receive numerous email everyday

Please anyone from Uniben here? Or any Federal University can please advise me what they did when WES informed them they had sent photocopies of documents back to the school for verification.

I'm stuck here. Over one month, WES emailed me that they are awaiting verification from Uniben of my transcripts and that I'm to do nothing meanwhile.
How long is it supposed to take?

Please reach out to your school, some schools even put payment for verification...so contact them and find out...cos by now your mail will be lost in uniben system if you do nothing....if possible go to your school

Oga it is their right..according to the International covenant of economic social and cultural right which nigeria is a party to, the right to food is mandatory and cannot be derogated. Also note that the right to food does not end at access to food only cos you might argue that since shops selling foods are open for some duration then the right has not been violation but this right also extends to the means of getting the food and since businesses are close which is one of the major means a citizen use to get funds in purchasing food and the fact that many Nigeria survival on daily works without having opportunity to much savings then we can bold say since such funds will be unavailable at this moment then their right to food has been violated and the government in remedying this are suppose to put in place proper palliatives to curb this situation. Also be aware that weather a country is rich or not does not give them right to violate such right..the right is final and cannot be derogated even in times of emergency, the minimum core obligation of providing food must be actualized by the state. This is even supported also by International Humanitarian law that even in times of Armed conflicts like war, the right to food should not be violated.

I once worked for a firm that had a business casual dress code and did not allow jeans nor T Shirts even though the main company we were working for had a very lax dress code. Their own staff could were slippers and leggings on the same premises.

To prove discrimination, she has to be prove that all the others are allowed to dress as they choose while she is not.

This is a clear case of indirect discrimination which means that a neutral criteria or requirement or grounds of discrimination is introduced putting persons of a racial or ethnic origin at a particular disadvantage compared with other persons.

The neutral criteria in the sense is the requirement of wearing the company cloth which is not a ground of discrimination but the fact that it will put persons of racial or ethnic origin e.t.x at a particular disadvantage compared with other person, in this case persons of the Muslim region will be disadvantaged.

Thus making it a form of discrimination, the company can only exonerate themselves from this if the neutral requirement (that is the compulsory adherence to the company dress code) is objectively justified.

Objectively justified means that if the requirement in place is necessary to do the job that is without the requirement the job cannot be properly done. And we can clearly see in this case that the wearing of hijab will not stop her from doing the job successfully as such the company argument cannot hold water and will be held for indirect discrimination.

Although the case might be different if the job was a modeling job and she insist that she will have to wear the hijab even on walk way parade were u might be need to showcase some part of your body, this may affect the performance of what the company intend to showcase and in this case the argument of the company might be objectively justified and as such discrimination will not be said to have occurred.

Lemme advice everyone going to Germany to study. Except you are going on free education or scholarship for your masters, and using SL.

Germany is not worth using close to 5m naira for block account and 3million naira for school fees.

Instead go to the UK.

Except u are going there just to study and come back. There's no way u can raise 8m naira easily working in Germany, u can't spend close to 10m to go to Germany then go there and start doing menier jobs for the rest of your life...

If u can go to a better country use that 8 or 10million establish in Nigeria, in 5years time people who used that same money to go to Germany would know the difference between u and them

So guys, it has really been a wonderful, fun one week in Germany(from moving out of siegen where my Visa was processed to paderborn, getting accommodation in a miraculous way, activating my hostel fire alarm while learning how to cook stew via video call from a wonderful princess here , teaching my flat mates our pigin English in exchange for German lessons, etc.). Settling hasn't been easy but we thank God. Once free I would drop my little experience and advise to incomings and as usual answer as much questions as I can.
