It's simple. Oil marketers aren't buying much cus Dangote will soon flood the market with supplies at lower rate.

Current price is below international rate, so Dangote will not be supplying the market until prices go up.

I think the government is trying to get the local price of fuel up to international prices so Dangote can supply the local market.

Dangote will not supply the local market at a loss

What many dont realise is practice like this weakens the laws and normalises selctive justice in the Nigerian society

Office365 web version is free I believe. You can use that instead.

Libre office.

It is free, but you may need to relearn some functions as it slightly differs from microsoft office.

But that is what I use on my personal laptop.

Never paid microsoft subscription while in Nigeria, it is hard to start paying here smiley

Follow up regarding this matter:

I reached out to our banks and thankfully, his account got restricted. Having being notified of this, Mozino then unblocked me and started begging me to withdraw my fraud allegations against him, that he would pay me back my money.

I was reluctant at first but then after many hours of begging and convincing, i decided to forgive him and informed our banks to release his Account. I even deleted his posts and pictures, promising to do it again if he didn’t pay me back. He was supposed to pay me back yesterday according to our agreement, but now he has blocked me again.

Because of this, I am republishing all my posts and pleading with you all to report him wherever you see him, thank you

This guy is a good for nothing fraudster and his actions have only proven so.

I shake my head in disbelief.

What kind of stupid mercy did you extend. He did not remedy his action and yet you asked to unblock him based on his "words".

Was it not same words that got you into this situation?
Good luck.

Does anyone know of there is any gov regulations or policy in switching visa.

Most employer do says they normally sponsor 3 months to the expiration of visa.

all effort to find this information on gov.uk prove futile.

I don't think so, but some employers will prefer to defer expenses as far back as possible

GEJ sold oil 🛢 at over $100/barrel, with excess crude oil account, yet Baba still borrow to pay salaries for months, so what is there to learn?

They all belong to the same category and i am not holding brief for any of them.

About 500% devaluation.

Naira has been floated.

The government is not interested in defending the exchange rate with scarce dollars.

If you study maths well, you should know that at the rate Tinubu is going it can very easily be extrapolated to see he will do more than 500% in 8 years if he can do this much in less than 1 year

Day-in day-out, Nigeria's young people are dying without any accountability.

Thanks. It's a little bit confusing. People are saying it's until you earn £12,750 while to others it's if the annual pay from where you work will greater or equal to the said amount.
The proponeyof the former are saying if I earn £2000 a month, the tax man needs to wait till the 7th month before taxing me while for latter it's straight up from the first month since £2000 for 12 months will be more than £12750 annually. Please which is correct?

No, HMRC generates a tax code based on your expected income. So if based on your monthly income (£2,000), they project you'll earn 24,000 a year and as such will deduct an amount of tax above the tax free amount monthly

Hello everyone. I have a question please. I just got a job that I should be starting at the end of February. I have signed the contract and everything. But another company just called me few days ago and I have been given another offer to start with them on the 1st of February. Can I just email the first company and let them know that something came up. I no want any issue for this Uk. Help a brother out please.

I don't think it is an issue. I have done it before and many people don do my employer same.

I think what is worse is not telling them at all or telling them a day to resumption, when they have setup your profile and gone through other hassles

If the employer is keen on having you, they will ask what the offer you received is and try to match it

I just read your previous thread and I'm flabbergasted that your husband is treating you and your daughter cruely like this, especially after what your daughter said. What happened to her is absolutely horrific! A 4-year old?! Dang! Instead of him to stand by her and stand up for her as her father, he decides to become a monster alongside his demonic family who turned against a 4-year old. They're obviously trying to protect the 15-yo perpetrator. This man is neither a husband nor a father, so get you and your daughter away from him. You should've reported your daughter's assault to the police as well.

Her inlaws are too embarrassed to admit they have a child molester in their midst.

Husband still lives in his father's house and probably is too dependant to take a strong position against his family

It's the opposite. As each day passes, Israel is losing soldiers and equipments in Gaza to freedom fighters wielding Iranian weapons. Not to mention their damaged reputation, which is going to be their outlook forever.

Israel has lost over 600 soldiers, including top officers in Gaza (since October 7th), without rescuing a single hostage but killed three with their own hands. grin grin

Now, what do you call that?!!

----

My take? Israel is in desperation at the moment, they are feeling the hit, Iran should expect some dangerous moves and be ready to respond in kind using the long game (which is working perfectly).

Israel is losing, yet it is the arabs calling for ceasefire.

You made too much sense

Get them head mounted camera's rather than leave one of them gambling his using phone in an active hostile area.

Kevlar vest sef, dem no wear.

Each should be equipped with basic med pack like like tourniquet.

You don't need to equip the whole army , just a fraction of them actively involved on the field

Did you for the $$?

You’re getting the naira right. In the normal sense, it reaches Nigeria because you can go to the bank to get the Naira but the $$ itself being sent is just being collected by the fintech there and they are paying you with their naira reserve.

What I now don’t understand from this Mr Taiwo is that this has been the norm for decade, so at what point did they know almost 80% of it is not reaching Naija?

I dont think it's been the norm.

When the likes of western money and money gram dominated the market, they did the notmal thing.

..but times have changed, difference between the official rate and black market rates have grown, no one wants to be offered official rate when black market rates are better.

Also fintech apps are now instant transfer, most of the other ones still long stories.

Last bring your money into a dorm account in Nigeria is very frustrating. Many cbn paperwork to move it n cbn policy changes often. Banks are charge huge transaction fees , fG charges taxes.

Why would anyone want to use such
