Chiamaka206: You only immediately pay for visa and IHS. However, you should have enough funds for tuition and at least 9 months living expense kept in your account for at least 30 days before you make your application....I think the money being in your spouse's or parent's account may fly but unlikely for your uncle |

enyinnia2000 I think most visa allow for 3-6 months stay after the completion without PSW visa. So even if she is done with the programme, she could still have a few months to stay legally. Any way she can confirm how long her BRP will be valid here - https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work |

enyinnia2000: I think what can affect the decision on her Tier2 application is any violations of the conditions of her current visa. Her greatest risk may be overstaying her current visa (if she is done with her program) as most diplomas do not qualify for post-study stay. If she is at risk of overstaying, it's better she returns to Nigeria while the Home Office makes a decision on her Tier2 application. Overstaying will likely count against her if it comes to the Home Office's knowledge before a decision is made on her Tier2 visa application. That may even earn her an extended ban.

Promoter2: The tier2 is likely in the health/care space. Those ones dey find people seriously, they may not mind particularly if she was able to open up to them about why she wants to stop schooling and rather work. If its criminal convinction or something that would appear on her dbs record, that is where they will likely have an issue. Their concer would likely be if she hides the info from them and they find out from a third party. It could undermine their trust in the person's character and make the wonder what else the person could be hiding 3 Likes |

enyinnia2000: I think if/when the uni notifies homeoffice, she gets a curtailment letter giving her probably a month to leave the country. If she hasnt gotten the letter or email yet, then I think she is fine. Hopefully her tier2 is out before the notice gets sent. Also there is this link for checking brp validity online, she can keep checking to know if she has had her visa curtailed |

Zanzibar1: bro, I will advise strongly you get something else to do. Not just because that pay is really bad but more importantly, that kind of job will not allow you the opportunity (time) and equip you with the skill to move to the next level. You are better of as a commission-based marketer...you get to meet people and you can think big. That job will damage your vision and deprive you of time to pursue them My mates from school that did it are barely talking 6 digits while most of us are already talikng 7 digits a month |

There has been this talk lately on nairaland lately of people abroad discouraging others from immigrating for better opportunities... Kemi Badenoch gives an interesting confirmation of these though. A lady left Nigeria at 16, and had a successful career in the UK which even enabled her contest for the highest office in the country as one of the top candidates. Of all the candidates (both of british ancestry & immigrants), only the candidate of Nigerian-ancestry is laying the blame of pressure on infrastructure on immigrants...... Lalasticlala 2 Likes |

movedup: Your children's birth certificate should be your strongest proof in the absence of a marriage cert (assuming its the type that shows both mother & fathers name). I would not advice you present a newly issued wedding cert, that could raise suspicion. Its better to open up that you are not legally married but are established live-in partners with children and other docs as proof 2 Likes |
