The board and owners of Man U are not serious yet. This team needs a total clear out. Not 3 players with so much drama.

It is Man U. that should be doing the type of recruitment Arsenal did.

As long as Fred and Mctominay are starters then,.the journey is very far.

Fred is not a bad player if you ask me...his work rate is high.

I would kick maguire out first.

The defence workrate and ability to track the ball is too poor

Religion / Re: Skit Makers Now Use The Name Of Jesus For Jokes, CAN Should Act Immediately!! by Advision: 10:17am On Aug 07, 2022
nakotee:
Recently the name of Jesus who is known to be the name given to the son of the Most High God according to the Christian religion has be constantly been abused and defiled recently by skit makers in Nigeria.

JESUS is a sacred name and should not be used in any form of skit Making, Recently skit makers who show women indecently dressed also used the name of Jesus as jokes to sell their skit movies . This is not a good thing to behold in a country like Nigeria who took Christianity as one of its major religions.

I hearby call on the notice of the Christian Association of Nigeria to call to order all skit makers and every other persons who is presently abusing the name of JESUS.

Please Moderators this issue should be given more attention.

dont bring toxic fanatism into Christianity. Anyone that likes should do what he likes with the name of Jesus, God and the bible. His/her case is with God not man.

You only immediately pay for visa and IHS. However, you should have enough funds for tuition and at least 9 months living expense kept in your account for at least 30 days before you make your application....I think the money being in your spouse's or parent's account may fly but unlikely for your uncle

Going to Bournemouth in January with spouse and 2 kids. I would appreciate anyone with the experience to share on how easy or otherwise to get settled as a student with such dependants.
Someone advised I should go first and bring my dependants later. Is this a better option? Thanks.

You need to factor in who would look after the 2 kids (assuming your wife is working). Child care can be a headache here

I think most visa allow for 3-6 months stay after the completion without PSW visa. So even if she is done with the programme, she could still have a few months to stay legally.

Any way she can confirm how long her BRP will be valid here - https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work

Actually the information reaching me is that she wasn’t expelled but her project was cancelled and she was meant to graduate with PGD instead of MSc.

Will this still have an effect on the tier 2 application??

I think what can affect the decision on her Tier2 application is any violations of the conditions of her current visa. Her greatest risk may be overstaying her current visa (if she is done with her program) as most diplomas do not qualify for post-study stay.

If she is at risk of overstaying, it's better she returns to Nigeria while the Home Office makes a decision on her Tier2 application. Overstaying will likely count against her if it comes to the Home Office's knowledge before a decision is made on her Tier2 visa application. That may even earn her an extended ban.

She has just converted her visa from tier 4 to tier 2. but her agreement with the person is just visit for the graduation. Note that the friend has a good job in Nigeria but anything can happen. my concern is if he decides to jakpa would my friend be held accountable?
Thank you.

From the way the system works here, I dont think he would enjoy living as an illegal immigrant in the uk. No employer of worth will give you a job without a check on your visa status. Hope he know that

Yep yep. I doubt the employers will proceed with employment arrangements if they find out about the expulsion. Too bad.

The tier2 is likely in the health/care space. Those ones dey find people seriously, they may not mind particularly if she was able to open up to them about why she wants to stop schooling and rather work. If its criminal convinction or something that would appear on her dbs record, that is where they will likely have an issue.

Their concer would likely be if she hides the info from them and they find out from a third party. It could undermine their trust in the person's character and make the wonder what else the person could be hiding

Hello people,

Please don’t know if this is the right trend to ask my question but can anyone answer if the answer is know.

I have a friend who was expelled from the university in the UK because of continuous plagiarism. She secured a job and is currently awaiting her Tier 2 visa before the expulsion though. My question is if anyone know if the expulsion will affect switching from tier 4 to tier 2 visa na

I think if/when the uni notifies homeoffice, she gets a curtailment letter giving her probably a month to leave the country. If she hasnt gotten the letter or email yet, then I think she is fine. Hopefully her tier2 is out before the notice gets sent.

Also there is this link for checking brp validity online, she can keep checking to know if she has had her visa curtailed

The moment she started off her campaign unnecessarily badmouthing her country of origin, I knew she'd probably be one of the immigrants that resent fellow immigrants after rising to position of power. We know that Nigeria is in a mess and seems irredeemable when it comes to corruption, but c'mon, did she have to worsen the situation for an average Nigerian trying to survive in a foreign land, knowing that her statement could only increase the already bad profiling of Nigerian immigrants out there? Anyway, she's out of the race now.

When I read the news yesterday, I was mouth agape. It the season for politicking, so the messgae isn't strange per se as someone was always going to tow a nationalistic line. Quite surprised though that it was an immigrant who only arrived the UK herself at 16

There has been this talk lately on nairaland lately of people abroad discouraging others from immigrating for better opportunities...

Kemi Badenoch gives an interesting confirmation of these though. A lady left Nigeria at 16, and had a successful career in the UK which even enabled her contest for the highest office in the country as one of the top candidates.

Of all the candidates (both of british ancestry & immigrants), only the candidate of Nigerian-ancestry is laying the blame of pressure on infrastructure on immigrants......

Travel / On The Subject Of Nigerians Abroad Discouraging Others Coming Over by Advision: 5:58pm On Jul 19, 2022

FINALLY, the eerie silence has been broken by Kemi Badenoch, on an issue of real and continuing concern to the public and, especially, to members of the Conservative Party. Her fellow candidates should now be challenged to make reductions in net migration.

Bar a few references to the asylum problem and to the proposal to engage with Rwanda, there has not been until now any serious attempt to tackle net migration which is a far more important issue – indeed, it is about five times the asylum inflow into the UK.

Kemi Badenoch touched on the issue - when she said in the Conservative Home hustings that immigration numbers must also be tackled if the housing problem is ever to be solved. She has now gone further in a Daily Telegraph article. All credit to her.

It was very encouraging to hear this also from one of the aspiring Prime Ministers:

“…we need to consider the demand side of housing, not just the supply side. People – rightly – recognise that building more homes while doing nothing to bring immigration down is like running up the down escalator.”

And this:

“….controlling immigration is important to managing the pressures it puts on housing and public services. Building confidence in the Government’s ability to control immigration is an important foundation for ensuring a cohesive society. “

These are most remarkable words from someone with a real chance of becoming leader of the Conservative Party and our next Prime Minister and show the guts that have been conspicuously absent from the race to date.

She and I are both immigrants to the UK. Perhaps this is why we recognise the serious risks to the future of our country by uncontrolled, runaway immigration. Yes to immigration but an emphatic no to the uncontrolled, and growing, mass immigration that we still have.

Of course, other major issues have been centre stage in the past year or two – Covid, Ukraine and the cost of living have dominated the headlines but the public still name immigration as one of the top issues. According to a YouGov poll, 54% want immigration reduced. That is thirty million adults, including 77% of Conservative voters.

The importance of uncontrolled and rising immigration is beyond dispute. The recent census has confirmed that the UK population has increased by eight million over the past twenty years. Seven million of that increase is due to immigrants and their children. Yet England, the main UK destination for immigrants, is already nearly twice as crowded as Germany and three and a half times as crowded as France.

The pressure is being felt on all our public services and especially on housing where we will have to build a new home every six minutes, night and day, to house new migrants. That is what Kemi Badenoch alluded to when she pointed to the need to address high immigration if we were to solve the housing conundrum.

It is not surprising that housing is a real issue, not just in the south, but also in the Red Wall Constituencies. MPs will know that, in many parts of England, there are strong feelings on this but people are still cautious about raising aspects of immigration in the public debate.

My partner and i have been traditionally married for 10 years without proper documentation or marriage license. We have 3 children together but apart from their birth certificates and our bank statement as proof of our relationship, there is nothing else.

He has been offered a full sponsored tier 2 visa to the U.K and we have been asked to submit 6 documents each as proof of residence and all I have to proof my residence with him in the same house is only my driver's license. I am a stay at home mom. what do we do?

thank you

Your children's birth certificate should be your strongest proof in the absence of a marriage cert (assuming its the type that shows both mother & fathers name).

I would not advice you present a newly issued wedding cert, that could raise suspicion. Its better to open up that you are not legally married but are established live-in partners with children and other docs as proof
