Hello, please for those who have travelled to the UK, what are the consequences of having a vignette on your passport without a decision mail or BRP mail?
It seems this situation is unique to only me as I've been unable to get a response from anyone.
I learnt that to pick BRP from a post office the decision letter and vignette is required that's why I've been worried. The pick up place chosen during my application is a post office.
And if it would be required of me to present it at the point of entry too.

If your passport has the right vignette, you shouldn't be asked for any further document at the point of entry.

Wondering why you have no letter though

Even with domestic consumption falling....

What happened to the so called protest in neighboring countries? Abi na scam?
Or is it still being smuggled to Niger Republic and other neighboring countries even at the current price?

I mean, our domestic c

Was also wondering. A 28% decline seems to suggest most of the fuel was consumed in Nigeria

UK Japa is not what most people that have travelled to UK were expecting.

Things are really tough for most Nigerians in UK. Some of them that passed through the student route have to cough out several millions of naira to pay the school fees and will have to work extra hard to achieve this. You see them crying in the night that God please help me through.

Most goods and services have gone up times 5 in UK and with the recent increase in the interest rate over there it seems there won't be a breather yet.

On the flip side most Nigerians that migrated are doing it for their kids future and we hope things get better with time.

And you learnt all this from living somewhere in Nigeria?

An example if anything that doubled in price in the UK (not to talk of 5 times)? Bro fear God!

Hello bro, I’m also considering getting chartered. Though I Started ICAN in Nigeria and still in Skills with 2 papers left.
May I ask if you started your ACCA in UK?
I have checked the fee online and it looks much 😂.
Would you advise I continue my ICAN in UK and probably convert to ACCA later using my ICAN. Or make I just close eyes start ACCA here from the foundation level for those with Bsc. Accounting.

Thanks

While ICAN in theory is equivalent to cima, acca, icaew. In practice some recruiters could look down on ican so your focus should be the uk chartered accountancy qualification.

You can do a conversion for icaew and cima with ican but I think you need a few years of experience (post qualification I think).

Acca is more straightforward

Hmmm, so, 50k fighters will capture the whole of Russia? Not even Nigeria that is not up to the geographical size of one state in the US. Like 10 fighters to capture and hold of the entire population… and besides, it’s a military base they are in control of on various news media outlets Haba! Think about it naw..

Your still displaying ignorance. He only needs to capture the power points, that is how coups are conducted. If he gets to moscow, he wins. He doesnt need to physically control the entire land mass of Russia, same way Russia failed because it could not take Kyiv.

So, people even think a mercenary of about 50k fighters can destabilize the largest geographical county in the world?… Na wa for some people’s brain o😂

It's not size that matters, it's defence in depth, which moscow currently lack because it has committed the bulk fighting force to Ukraine. If wagner breaks through a few lines of defence, they will take Moscow.

Russia's southern military command has already fallen to wagner without a fight. The lacked the armour to fight wagner.

Bro at this rate you're probably going to gross 1M, which puts it at about same level you typically gross but with a lower net due to higher cost of inputs.

Except your working less hours, it suggests increasing fares have also met less demand.

I paid library fees
I paid for my hostel

I paid for textbooks

So, how's tuition free in government schools?

What you pay for these services in a federal institution is highly subsidized that is why they cost more in a private uni. Paying 10k a semester for hostel rent and utilities cannot be market rate.

Also, overheads such as staff salaries.

Capex spent on equipment of all sorts

So na the man wey dey head NLC be this? It’s obvious he dosen’t even understand what he is saying.

Monopoly does not mean only one supplier exist, it means one supplier dominates the markets.

Also, in the cement market, dangote controls about 60% of the market with the other guys sharing the bit left. That gives him control of price.

So he is right on both counts. You need to refresh your economics

I was actually rude about the confrontation. I was angry and below is why I was angry.

Both my in-laws came to our house, though I knew they were coming but I wasn't cool with it because they were with us last year December/January this year then now. My wife knew I wasn't cool with it but she never cares. We were both sleeping on the same bed but weren't talking. We had an issue one night and she went to report me to her parents, but her parents never call me to ask for my side of the story. That made me more angry so I left the house in the middle of the night. Guess what, I was away for 2nights and both my wife and my in-laws were not bother. They didn't even call. That made me more furious. So I spoke to her rudely.

Note: My wife is a sweet soul without the influence of her mother.

You have no business scolding your inlaws, very disrespectful. It's your elderly family members that should talk to them if any issue and that should be a big issue.

If you dont like their influence, keep them at bay. Tell your wife you don't want family member visits. If she is such a sweet soul as you claim, she should not be so hard to manage.

Izzou has given you the summary.. ROI on Uber/Bolt is very poor either as a partner driver or investor. It sucks. How can Keke riders be paying up keke in a year ? and you can't do same with a corrolla.
Ehailing companies with stupid fares.. #600 for air-conditioned taxis. Keke won't even look at you twice for #600 charter.

Last year . Bajaj okada was 400k. Delivery is 9k weekly, or 40k monthly based on your rental agreement. In a year, you would've recouped your initial investment.
You can't try that with Uber..

Seems many drivers here now own their cars. Just 2-3 years back, if a partner says 25k weekly (with partner responsible for servicing, insurance & papers) was too small, many drivers would come for his head.

The ROI has been unreasonable for many years now, especially since most partners bought their cars as tokunbo

If malware has been installed, travelling to Lagos will not solve the issue, people spy on others using malware from the other side of d world, so distance is not a barrier except there's something else you've not mentioned

I got a huge contract through my brother's company.

The contract is securely in my possession now and I've been fully paid. Initially, the plan was for my bro to supply me the materials

But the issue now is the quotation he's giving me is way higher than what I'm getting elsewhere.

I've asked him to beat down his price but he's adamant. I plan on sidelining him if he doesn't do the needful.

Guys any thoughts on this?

Let your brother know you have a much lower price somewhere and instead offer him a commission for bringing the deal.

Next time lock in your contracts, you cant just tell your bro to supply, you should have discussed the price and specifics about what he will gain.

yes ! I can afford it from my Nigeria investment! So am talking from what am seening to guide others especially those on a budgets ,taking loans etc . My brother that was driving a Honda 2013 in Nigeria started using bicycle in Ireland ( is that progress or retrogression) when if friend have moved to 2016 ! He was living in 2 bedroom in abuja then in Ireland he housing shortage to crisis level he started staying in shared room for 400 euro per month (paying 300k to share room not even house) is that progress after paying 12000 euros ! Then they used several scheme like stamp 1 visa stamp 2 to make it difficult for you to get professional job after graduation ! with a Master degree you be doing physical slave work in the cool ! He back in Nigeria and started working rearranging his life ! Sadly even with 12000 euro Msc na level 9 firs give am same with 60000 Naira msc from Ekiti state university.

Now I see why an "experienced investor" can promote MBA capital as quality investment, when we wey no know market could discern from its fundamentals that it is ponzi.

1. Riding bicycle is a not a sign of poverty abroad. I drive a car , my director rides a bicycle...go figure. In Holland, it's bicyle country...you think its poverty?

2. If your brother with msc from a rated university abroad could not get a better job than he would have gottwn with msc from ekiti, you will agree something is wrong with either nigeria, your brother or both?

3. The average job in ireland will see you get a decent apartment (could be 1 bedroom flat depending on location) and within less than 4-5 years get mortgage to own yours. That is more than average job in nigeria will give you. If your brother could not get pass getting a job that meant he has to live in a shared apartment in a country where the standard of living and employment rate is much better than Nigeria, you cant again assume its the fault of the country.
