No, preference will be for having a background in consulting. But if he can prove his worth, he would be fine without consulting experience.

What if the person has not worked in any audit firm before?

If you haven't got any audit experience, you stand very little chance of getting an experienced role in the audit arm..and I do not think they will offer him EL opportunities.

However, they also have an accounting arm, he can try his luck there. They just do not have as much vacancies as an audit.

No one takes your pathological liar serious. Someone who achieved absolute nothing in Anambra while investing state funds into his family business which the criminal justified.

Tinubu's legacies speak for him.

Its very obvious that Liz got it because she is white. If it is about competency and experience Richy Sunak has more experience than Liz. A majority white Conservative party would never allow Sunak be the Prime minister even for 2 seconds grin

The most competent candidates do not necessarily win elections...Nigeria is a case in point and I am sure its same in many places.

Sunak's resignation was what toppled Boris' gov. While Boris officially maintained neutrality in the race, there is little doubt he would be working for Liz who defended him till the end behind the scenes.

Also, Liz came with this immediate action on cost-on-living crisis, while Sunak was more guys should learn to live with it, we will do what we can though that does not imperil the treasury. For a country who headlines have been centred on cost-of-living crisis, Liz was more likely to be popular even if Sunak's plan was more credible.

Sunak actually started out as the front candidate but couldnt maintain momentum. I don't see racism being the main reason for his loss.

Rishi Sunak is more qualified by every standard. But i have always known that Britain is not ripe for a coloured person to lead them.

Let's see how she gets on with her bogus promises.

Sunak shot himself in the foot by kicking against tax cuts...He started as a front runner but feel sharply with the austerity kind of management her was advocating. dont see the racism here...he just goofed at politics. London is the centre of the UK and its mayor is colored

Also it was Sunak's resignation that toppled . Boris probably lobbied at the back for Truss who stood with him to the end

Buhari has foresight. Those countries have no sea so they have to rely on seaport of neighboring countries.

A significant portion of Nigeria's imports actually comes through the ports of neighbouring states e.g togo/benin becauseof various inefficiencies ...its an open secret.

Common sense dictates you set your house before you invite others over.

Except you are implying buhari and his cabinet lack the common sense to know that setting the port in order to deal with the revenue loss arising from importers using other countries ports is the more important thing to deal that taking a huge loan from china to build an expensive rail to a country with an economy smaller than lagos

So Peter Obi is still stuck in this stage of the outreach?

If I was in the crowd, I will ask him questions about his statement made at the NBA conference yesterday.

If not connection, how did you become Labour Party presidential candidate without even a 1month membership of the long existing party?

Was it your entitlement to be a Presidential candidate that you could not accept defeat in PDP, so you ran out at the 11th hour to go secure it elsewhere without prior work for that party?

If Character is being discussed, would you be remembered positively or negatively as that political prostitute who promised never to leave APGA and that leaving APGA would mean leaving politics?

What is your Capacity with your poor academic record and your inability to grow the economy of Anambra state?

If Commitment was paramount, would you depart APGA and also depart PDP that gave you a national platform in 2019?

Rather than clap for a liar and desperate politician, ask him questions and see how he will begin to slow down on the fancy talk that is belied by his own contrary actions.

So Mr Peter Obi, the 2023 election is going to be about the things you say it shouldn't be about, and you are most guilty of it being so because you are the epitome of tribe, religion, connection, and entitlement?

You are the Igbo candidate who must never be campaigned against by other Igbo politicians, you are the religious crusader that has attended all the Churches you never attended even as a Governor, your Labour Party ticket is borne out of connection and entitlement.

Sir, you are a patholigical liar and hypocrite.

Am not misleading people pls, this is why I hardly comment on sensitive stuff like this here cos some folks will want to impose their personal experience on folks here who don't even have the kind of qualifications others have to land such roles. How many folks entering the Uk have prior IT skills to land high-paying roles or is it everyone that is into IT? What some of us are saying is please don't put too much pressure on newbies who are still trying to understand the environment. Are we saying nobody should aspire higher? Let's help people manage their expectations so they don't make baseless assumptions.

I think you are generalising. I stay in the surrey area and a -bedroom flat here is around 1k and they are very tiny. So you would have a very difficult life here on 22k and most jobs will offer well above that for a full time role (even low skilled).

I thnk its best people ask around for what is the best salaries for what they do and where they stay.

Let's be a bit realistic, except you get a high skilled job directly from outside the UK, it's almost impossible to even get a 40k job in few months after arriving as most high paying jobs may require security clearance that requires at least six months residence in the uk. I agree we shouldn't put too much pressure on folks who are just coming in as it may be counter productive. Rather we should encourage people to work their way up to that high paying level.

Am a stickler for the slow and steady rise in the uk...

Dont know where you got this statistics from and the security clearance thing from but this could be misleading people.

When I arrived the uk, 45k was about the least I was offered and I know there are sectors that pay much more like IT and Tech. And I dont even think 45k is high paying particularly if you stay around the london area

So what are you saying?

Tinubu has given everyone a chance to improve the country but they couldn't. It's now time for Tinubu implement his ideas at the federal.

There is no goodwill in someone who helped imposed an utter failure on Nigerians for 8 years. After taking the country into a recession with massive killings from herdsmen, any Nigerian with goodwill in his heart towards the country would have backed-off buhari, but tinubu has no honour. I dont think parents and any silly politican can be placed at the same level. Mothers literally gamble their lives those days when maternal mortality was like 50% to give birth to a child.

Crime / Re: Photos That Depict How Bad Weather, Terrain Affect Military Operations by Advision: 7:23pm On Aug 17, 2022
zaza1955:
Surfing the internet yesterday, I came across a viral video of Nigerian soldiers working In the rain. Obviously, they were going after terrorists and criminal elements who have made thick Nigerian forests their home.

The video hit me so hard, and I began to wonder, how, despite the rain, the “bad weather,” they did not budge, they kept moving, their mission was their objective and they were not thinking of any other thing than to execute them.

“Bad weather”, i thought to myself, “wouldn’t this affect these soldiers while trying to keep up with their mission?”

At this point, I jumped on my goggle search engine, and typed, “bad weather and Nigerian soldiers/images.” Amazingly, I came across some fascinating photos that shows really how bad weather is affecting Nigerian military operations.

My findings led me to conclude that, although the rain In the viral video was minimal, these soldier should have stayed somewhere safe until after the rain to avoid matters that touch the heart.

I will reveal my reason as we progress.

I did a collection of the photos, and did a little findings on “bad weather and Nigerian soldiers.” Below are my findings;

Numerous military studies cite weather as one of the major factors in battle.

My collection of photos describes the hardship suffered by Nigerian soldiers during military operations in the battle fronts as a result of bad weather especially during the wet season.

Fair money.

But they can only give N10k initially.

And be prepared for a barrage of calls everyday, even after you've repaid their loan.

I've told you the pros and cons of fair money.

So, it's up to you now.

I know someone who got 900k as a first time borrowe from fairmoney. Actually that was the first time she ever used any loan app. The credit limit is likely not the same for everyone, and I am not even sure its credit score because the person had never accessed any facility anywhere in Nigeria before.

@op, when filling the initial form, ask for a higher amount. You can ask for 100k, I suspect they would give you less..say 60k limit.

You can then select just the 30k required
