Is Boko haram responsible for looting the NEDC? Are the Niger Delta militants responsible for looting the NDDC? We all lose to our political elites when we push this kind of divisive narrative. We must learn to speak to issues without bias.

Why do you think political elites from south west, south east, north west etc are clamoring for the creation of development commission for their regions? The answer is corruption. They have seen what their colleagues in the Niger Delta and North east region are enjoying and they want the same. The commissions provide a good opportunity for political elites of each regions to further steal money meant for development without much noise.

While the intention of creating the commissions may be noble, political elites will truncate the good intention and turn it to a slush fund ATM. We need to disband all the commissions or put in place a very mechanism to monitor their operations and ensure transparency and accountability. Creating commissions and leaving them to operate like NDDC and NEDC will not achieve any result.

I truly respect Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, but i loath like his arrogance and intransigence even when it is clear he made a mistake! Or you didn't read about how he was warned severally that Gowon was plotting a bloody coup, yet he surrounded himself with northern snakes and excluded Igbos from key command positions in his belief that northerners were naïve and could never plot a coup against him. I hate that Ironsi died because i would have loved for him to be alive and see what his fo0lishness and overly placating the north has turned Igbos into second class citizens of Nigeria. Before 2015 Bokoharam were strong and well equipped that no northern state is safe.

Kano was not safe... Bombing here and there!!

They take over local governments and take full control... Displacing and bombing people in large number... There's no week we don't hear of Bokoharam attack in the north.

Today Bokoharam only have the capacity to attack Borno villages that are close the forest.
