Philips Shauibu is a Catholic n not a Muslim pls. Besides, the people of Edo State don't vote according to religion n Christan has always be the governor of Edo State n d deputy which tells u dt Edo is a Christian State n d number of Muslim in Edo State compare to Christian is insignificant.Reasons:
1. In 1992, Oyegun was d governor n his deputy was Rev Peter Obadan n both not not working Christians
2. In 1999, Lucky Igbinedion was d governor n his deputy was Mike Ogiadomhe n both of them are Christians.
3. In 2007, Osariemen Osunbor was d governor his deputy was Lucky imasuen n both of them are Christians.
4. In 2008, Adams Oshiomhole was d governor n even though he came from a Muslim background, he is a Christian as his late wife was d one who converted him too Christian n his Christian name is Eric. His deputy Pius Odubu is a Catholic/traditionist.
5. Presently, the governor of Edo State n his deputy are both Christian.

Not true because Philip Shauibu is a Christian. I think d key factor here is dt both candidates have their deputy from Edo North(Etsako West to be precise)

PDP is stronger in these States at state level than in Edo State. For abt 12 years, APC has been controlling Edo at State level while PDP has been winning at Federal Level unlike these other States that is controlled by PDP. I agree dt d election won't be easy but APC will win because it is just one election and we should not forget in a hurry wht happened in Osun, Kogi n Kanu State election (Rig n let us meet in court ).Obaseki can't be governor again because he has shut himself in his foot.
