RomanceRe: In love with my Ex, but I am married by afrodiva: 5:51pm On Apr 29, 2012
Naijas.and their glaring /blinding hypocritical nature.lots of people both men and women have feelings for their exes. Heck how many people in Naija even marry for love. Most marry someone suitable to family, religion, social status etc. What op needs to do is try to work at her marriage, give it a specific time frame and if things don't improve divorce her hubby.the canm start on a clean slate with ex. I have a friend who had same issue her hubby was physically abusive and she lost some pregnancies ,she was still trying to make it work however her ex.fiance came along eventually she bursted her hubby. Eventually married her long lost love and she's much happier with two kids!!!!!!!
PoliticsRe: Ending Off-shore Derivation by afrodiva: 2:54pm On Apr 29, 2012
In the first place all monthly allocations to states come from the off shore and onshore oil. Nd states get just 13 meager %. So why all these argument. The fed govt takes the rest so states should ask fgfor more allocation and stop making it look like the nd gets all the dividends.
PoliticsRe: Ending Off-shore Derivation by afrodiva: 2:48pm On Apr 29, 2012
KnowAll: The argument the littoral states put forward claiming sovereignty over water bodies that lies 200 km South off their coast should be a 2 way street argument. On the one hand they can claim water bodies 200km from their shores, yet they cannot claim land bodies 200 km North , East and West off their state. If that were possible Port Harcourt or better still Rivers State should be claiming lands as far North as lands in current Benue State and as Far East as lands in Doaula in Cameroon or land as far west as Ilaje or Okitipupa in Ondo state.

The claims I must say are baseless and and a no brainer. huh
imust confess you are the dumbest person on NL. Don't just post for post sakes.

I'm beginning to agree that we naijas are indeed cowards.in most other countries a national revolution would long have taken place.but a few hold us to ransome in Naija.what We need are courageous men and women .boko haram are also cowards.go face the Naija army and stop killing xtians and innocent Muslims.terrorism is hard to fight
Even the Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq have had a hard time. How much more a redundant Naija system. Its really time for that Snc or a referendum. Obviously Boko haram is just out to give Jonathan a hard time.if they want an allislamic country the only way is to declare seccesion.they should be bold and do that.what is their goal eventually? .

RomanceRe: Advice, My Girl Friend Of 3yrs Is Leaving Me. by afrodiva: 1:43pm On Apr 29, 2012
afrodiva: You need to give this relationship a break for atleast 6 months.obviously the babe is also confused about you but at same timetaking advantage of your feelings for her. You need to clear your head and mind.I also wouldn't advice going back to your Abuja ex. You don't have much feelings for her and you might do the same thing your girl is doing to her.its not easy to let go when you really love someone but at this point you have to cut your losses and run. Trust me you'll be in a better place emotionally in 6 months and able to make better decisions .if she really doesnt. Lv u she'll be gone forever..goodluck.
Oops this was meant for another post.disregard my comments please.

bittyend: Nigerians and their stone age mentality - and they took that bs to Paris.. Why not get married in your hometown?? Nigerians in diaspora travel to Nigeria to get married - but low-self esteem haviing pricks at home, always do the opposite.. grin grin grin
so people can't get married where they like? On the contrary it is you who has a poverty mentality. Whao can't believe this in 2012. That's why Naija is so backward. Do we even need the internet and electricity ? Of course not when we can use kerosene lanterns and beating the gong to circulate info.

PoliticsRe: They Invented Niger Delta Or South South To Keep Nigeria As One becaus of biafra by afrodiva: 1:11am On Apr 15, 2012
There has always. Been a Nigeria Delta area geographically and socially even before the oyibos came it encapsulated the ijaw, ijoid areas and some of her close neighbors. This area was also deprived except for portharcourt when it was made a port federal govt did not invent it. The people of these areas also struggled for development. Part of their struggles culminated in the creation of old rivers state. In a sense old rivers state was really the original neglected Niger Delta.the ijaws also wanted to include the ijaws of old bendel state although most of them did not really identify with the region. The other members also felt uncomfortable because adding the bendel ijaws would give the ijaws an overwhelming majority. Bottom line it was not a Nigerian govt invention.you need to read the history of the people from the precolonial, colonial and post colonial times. Current day niger Delta is more political..the old niger Delta was quite workable politically and socially and our forefathers married ,traded and understood our selves.the igbos of south east states were seen as the hinterland folks a bit different but good trade partners.

PoliticsRe: Biafra Minus Niger Delta by afrodiva: 7:55am On Apr 09, 2012
Ngodigha1: Ukwuani, Ekpeye and Emohua and neighbours are Igbo groups and they are in the Niger Delta.
Get this into your tiny brain, there are Igbo people in the Niger Delta.
Errhmm the Naija govt sees them as seperate ethnicities, stop attaching to us by force.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Minus Niger Delta by afrodiva: 7:43am On Apr 09, 2012
Onlytruth: Now, you are grasping at straws. lol
I never knew that anyone can change his own tribe. Even in Rivers state, most of them were quickly reminded that they were Igbo by their fellow "Niger deltans" during elections.
So, it does not really depend on them alone. Others would identify them as Igbo. Having said that, overwhelming majority of them identify as Igbo. cool
Onlytruth please be truthful. Stop all this internet propaganda. Most ikwerre, ekpeye, ogba ,opobo, bonny do not identify themselves as igbos .how come we keep hearing this "identify " with igbo stories from you igbo and not from these tribes?
Are the people not computer literate? You are so quick to identify with these groups that obviously don't want to be with you.the Nigerian constitution anyway acknowledges them as independent ethnicities. I would not like to derail this thread. But stop these lies.some may identify as igbos but they are definitely in the minority.if you go to opobo, bonny, ekpeye or ikwerre websites they definitely don't identify themselves as igbo.

FamilyRe: My Niece Is Dating My Ex-boyfriend by afrodiva: 12:48am On Apr 03, 2012
@op sweety you have done your bit by telling your neice and her mom that its unnacceptable. Truth is that dating close relatives is a taboo even the Bible lists certain blood ties that people shouldn't marry or have sex with.however we no that love and passion doesn't respect those rules ,so they might genuinely have true feelings for one another .so let them be they are both adults and are responsible for their actions.I feel your pain and I know you might just be concerned for your families dignity and pride. But if her mom and your neice are obstinate there's not much you can do just ignore and avoid them and concentrate on things that make you happy and try not to let it bring a wedge in BTW your family. Cheers grin
PoliticsRe: Gov Amaechi Stops Nddc Boss Convoy by afrodiva: 6:14am On Apr 01, 2012
EzeUche: That is Governor Amaechi to you. Do people use middle names? They use first and last. Not some Yoruba name like Rotimi but an Igbo name like Amaechi.
Actually most of his friends and associates call him rotimi.he grew up as rotimi Amaechi.
PoliticsRe: 5 Reasons Why America Is Worse Than Nigeria by afrodiva:
odumchi: How are you so sure that Ive never been to America or that I am not IN America?
1. 50k-200k cannot buy you a decent home in America. A four bedroom single family house costs anywhere from 500k-1million USD you will be lucky to find it for 400k. With 150k you can purchase a two bedroom condo or a multi family building. Mansions are millions of dollars.
2. I am not talking about the majority of America, I am talking about Nigerian immigrants who go to America.
3. Why are you contempt in being in debt? Debt  is the chain that ties you down.
4. To your statement about cars, you clearly do not understand automobiles or pricing for that matter. Take for example a 2002 Mercedez Benz C class. In the US this car would be atleast 15k (N2.4M) While in Nigeria, this car can be N2.0M or less. American car brands arent popular in Nigeria, so please keep them out of the equation. Asian and European cars are cheaper in Africa since most of them are accidented or imported and their prices are slightly lower as compared to their American-bound models in order to appeal to a "middle class" Nigerian population. Please research information before you make any definite statements.
Odumchi please don't repeat that crap again 200k can definitely get you a decent house in the us.just Google it haba! !!!
PoliticsRe: What Will The South-south Lose When Nigeria Collapses? by afrodiva: 4:26am On Mar 31, 2012
Abagworo: Up till this day, the major reason there is peace in Rivers State in particular is Nigeria. Again the major reason Igbos are sheepishly taking insults of being landlocked is Nigeria. If Nigeria breaks up, Igbos will define their true boundary and you know some people might come to oppose and there will be war. That I am very sure of.
true boundaries meaning igbo will claim opobo ,bonny,Ph,ikwerre, ekpeye etc.even if bonny agrees to be igbo I hope you all know you will have to go thru ogoni, okrika, andoni, nkoro territories to get to bonny are you going to wipe off these tribes. If you go the ekpeye route via sombreiro or o
rashi rivers you will still have to go thru degema, brass, and other ijaw territories to get to the Atlantic. Prior to Nigeria been formed no ijaw or igbo or other minorities in old rivers state fought why would igbos now want to fight? If not "ojukokoro".
PoliticsRe: What Will The South-south Lose When Nigeria Collapses? by afrodiva: 10:35am On Mar 30, 2012
I can't speak for Delta state. But at least rivers and bayelsa have been able to live for centuries with minimal internal strife and even when present was mostly
between the igbani ijaw groups who also sorted themselves out.the annags, efiksand ibibios
also have been able to live peaceable with minimal stress.

If you all really want to educate yourself about what Niger Delta is or is not go read g.i Jones book tribes of the lower Nigeria and go to the Isaac adaka boro website to find out who the real Nigeria deltans were and the geographical territory so called. Not allthis modern day fraudulent Niger deltans. It didn't include most of the people forming nigerdelta. Igbos definitely had no part of it.(no abia imo state not even egbema part of river's state.no akwaibom or cross river's state.
