Societies/ humans have always evolved from social constructs and in this instance, the definition of morality. Social constructs have to be institutionalized for it to be successful during a period of time and religion is one medium of institutionalizing social constructs.

As our world changes and humans continue to explore new levels of advanced intelligence, our idea of many social constructs like morality will also evolve.
Going from excommunicating women from church (and subjecting them to ridicule and shame) in 1995 because they are wearing trousers because God told you it is sinful, to you (or your wife) now wearing trousers yourself in 2015 takes a whole lot of social construction.

Religion is one medium of institutionalizing oppressive dogma as well.

Come to think of it that there was a time Christian ladies were forbidden to wear trousers not only in church but even in public . Now the children of those people who did the forbidding are the ones who run churches where women wear trousers in church , guys pierce their ears and weave their hairs and some men even go to same church with pierced nose cheesy

Times have changed truly
It tells you that most of these rules are man-made rules that people pick out either from water-filled calabashes or from inside the deepest recesses of their backsides.

It's an indisputable fact that Tony had more hits than Eddy as a solo artiste thanks to Eedris who advised him to begin to write songs for himself and also get closer to the more talented Plantashun boiz that had Blackface , Tuface and Faze whom were all talented musicians & song writers in their own right .

However , looking at the body of work pushed out by Remedies as a group , the impact of Eddy on those songs and his voice & flows; it's easy to conclude that if Eddy had not entangled himslef with Kenny St. Brown he could've enjoyed more commercial success like Tuface did.

I think that his marriage crash broke him. That time no be now wey be say scandal dey make ur next music sell . A big record label like Kennis can have u 4cked up. How many radio stations do we have that pay their genre of music that time ? It won't even cost Kennis much money to have him blacklisted sef. ( I'm not saying they did cos I don't have that information o)

E just be like say everything that happened blocked out anything good music from his head .

But come to think of it; man sef ! Of all the fine fine ladies wey dey that time, why be say na Kenny St. Brown he decided to date and marry sef ? It's not like Kenny St. Brown was the Most beautiful girl in Lagos sef not to talk of Nigeria 🤦‍♂️. If the gods want to punish somebody , dem go just allow u use ur hand carry wetin pass u
Eddy had the talent but after leaving Kennis, apart from the emotional damage he suffered he had no support base around him.

He was a bit older than those other upcoming guys and didn't link up with the right people. Back then Festac/Satellite/AJ axis and Yaba/Bariga axis were like the way Paris and Sao Paolo are in football. Talents were springing up every day and gathering together in studios, whether it be beats, lyrics, hooks etc. That was what Tetuila connected to but Eddy i believe either from blacklisting and/or generational gap could not.

I used the word "probably " in my post for a reason. It may appear insensitive but the stuff some of these people (particularly the card-carrying members of the party) did during and after the elections makes it difficult for one to pity them in the face of the current happenings in the land.

Those that didn't join in disenfranchising their fellow citizens based on political differences were busy laughing and boasting about the unfortunate incidents during the elections in which people were called unprintable names, people beaten for their political choice and even people denied access into polling units for having fair complexion.
You are right. It appears insensitive. I just thought i should point that out but then again everyone is entitled to their opinion.

What is not necessary ? That it's untrue people wrote that on their statuses or what?

Maybe u don't know they didn't stop at " This administration will favour me and my family". They labelled everyone else bitter, unpatriotic and some even wished evil on those who don't believe in the Tinubu presidency.

We saw these things; we read these things with our eyes and chose not to comment cos we saw where all this was headed
I am sure not every single APC member behaved that way. The woman just died so i don't think it is the appropriate time to make assumptions about her without any evidence.

Good Morning. 🔴

7 years ago today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a late winner in the League Cup final to seal Jose Mourinho’s first major honour as #MUFC manager.

1 Year ago today Erik Ten Hag won his first trophy at Manchester United just 7 months into the job

1 day ago today, Enzo Fernandez almost beat up a fan after failing to win the Carabao cup.

#CarabaoCupFinal
Na because na adult fan. If na teenage fan Enzo go turn the other cheek (No pause intended).

CR7 has played in England, Spain and Italy. 3 of the major leagues in Europe. Goals goals goals in all of them.

Forget all unverified goals that Pele and some scored. According to IFHSS (International Federation of Football History & Statistics) CR7 is the Greatest Goalscorer of All Time.
Ha sorry o! I didn't know that you are a Cristian.

CR7 is/was better than R9. Way better.

1. Shoot better than R9
2. Heads the ball better than R9. Here the margin is wide.
3. More disciplined than R9.

Summary, CR7 is a more complete footballer than R9.
Not that I am debating your conclusion but I think you have to use better points to push your view.

Using those 3 points of shoots better, heads better, more disciplined a mischievous person can say CR7 is/was better than Messi too. cry
