We need to be giving our technically gifted youth players more opportunities and support. I understand the importance of being physical in a league like the EPL but it shouldn't be the preliminary criteria for promition. Building muscles is easy when you're in your late teens or early twenties. But developing vision, spatial awareness and overall football at that level is way more difficult.

Gomes' height did him in, I understand. But Nolan shouldn't have made it to the U-21s. Shola shouldn't have been rushed either. And IHA, Iqbal, and co should've had more support and opportunities.

I suspect focusing more on physicality is the reason Hannibal Mejbri has stalled even though the little devil get him own village people. Even Amad is getting less chances because he's less physical and because ETH is a dunce.

We would've missed out on Garnacho and Mainoo too if they were just a tad less physical.

Can anyone at the club correct this anomaly?

The technical department has work to do.

We send players on useless, pointless, meaningless and sometimes even harmful loans.

We overstock certain positions in the academy and understock other positions, meaning some players don’t get developmental minutes in their natural position so they are shoe-horned to play in unnatural positions thereby hampering their development.

We really need to start considering how to get you into United scouting department. You are goood. What qualities do you look out for ?? It seems you also consider their psychological makeup too.

You need to get Olabode, Mikechinos, Leyqute into the department too. I think it is mainly about watching them in detail over time. If most of us put in that kind effort we will get it right more often than not.

I have watched practically every single Under-18 game Mainoo ever played. Even when we sent an Under-17 team for a mid-season tournament in the US I watched every single minute of his games.

There is still much room for improvement, but the boy has serious potential. In terms of football intelligence and emotional intelligence he is well sorted.
