Leyqute:He will get minutes. The main thing is not to rush him back before time do it is good that we have enough options in midfield. |
MRTA7:They are said to be decent as well. Copenhagen has beaten everybody in the group. |
Leyqute:No i couldn’t, but I heard he and Gore did okay in midfield. One of Hojlund’s younger twin brothers played for Copenhagen in attack and the other twin is in the senior squad to face us tonight. |
Englishisamust:Don't let it pain you too much ehn. Ndo. ![]() |
MRTA you are right. Mainoo is starting for the Under-19s today in the UEFA Youth League. |
MRTA7:Not a bad idea for him to him to use them to regain fitness over the next couple of weeks, but i expect him to be getting senior minutes by mid-November at the latest. |
Casemiro and Reguilon are back in group training. AWB has started individual workouts on grass. Hope rising. ![]() |
BlueRayDick:Some might be content creators but some might really be going through it. The trick about socializing in a strange land is to put in the effort. The easiest way for an average Nigerian is through church and mosque settings. You can also meet people through work, either colleagues or other people that you come across as a result of your duties. If it is a big organization that is better as the chances of meeting people that you share interests with increases. Another easy way over here is through sports. When i first landed i joined football and basketball leagues and through that kind of setting you get to make friends. And for those who want to rub minds and be given in toto details of their new surroundings there are mixed leagues (male and female combination teams). Then there are other options like the gym, book clubs, volunteering at non-profit organizations, joining an interest group (hiking, gaming, rock climbing, walking), or signing up for a multifaceted social platform like Meetup) The more extroverted can easily make friends from just walking around at shopping malls, bars, the beach etc. It usually takes being an introvert and being a bit lazy to struggle to make friends out here. The extrovert does it with ease but an introvert that puts in the effort will still get the job done. |
BlueRayDick:It was even worse back then. There were fewer Nigerians abroad compared to now and foreigners were less likely to socialize with a Naija person not to talk of allowing a Nigerian to tosibe. Now most countries have formal and informal Naija communities and eyes have opened enough that the average Naija person will be able to make friends if he puts in the effort. |
Ibime:Yes Persians are often more moderate. Wahhabism in my opinion is just the latest of several radical forms of Islam that rise from time to time from Arabia. A good example of an early form are the Kharijites. I sure say Wahhabis sef go fear those ones. I think there is something in the Arabic psyche that lends itself to these extreme forms of the religion which are not easily accepted in other cultures. In Afghanistan for instance if not for the war against the Soviet Union and the importation of thousands of mujahideen to fight the invaders I don’t think these radical forms would have thrived. |
Ibime:The Ottomans were Turks so that all points towards the Turks being more moderate from time. I know Wahhabism is recent but even pre Wahhabism the Ottoman Turks were more moderate than the Arabs IMO, employing loads of foreigners and even the rulers marrying foreign Christian wives. |
BlueRayDick:It’s a penkelemes. |
BlueRayDick:Maybe because they came late to the party, but so did Northern Nigerians. |
Ibime:Yes they don’t. The Turkic people in Afghanistan are a small minority sef. The country is majorly Iranic not Turkic. |
You go explain tire. No evidence. ![]() Own goal stands. Game don restart sef. |
BlueRayDick:Kazakhstan is ex-Soviet Union so the people must have been indoctrinated with the spirit of secularism for a long time. Secondly, it has a significant Russian Christian minority and is closely allied with Russia. Enforcing radical Islam might make things sticky for the ethnic Russians. Finally, they are Turkic people and I find that generally speaking they favour moderate Islam compared to their Arab brethren. |
Leyqute:Hahaha. |
Expert17:Bad one sef. From outside the 18yd box. After, e come dey beg referee to check VAR. For where! Goal stands! ![]() |
Englishisamust: ![]() If that is what you believe I can’t press your neck. Now go and chop your own goal in peace. Next time don’t use an example that will give you an L. ![]() |
Englishisamust:This your explanation has no evidence. I am only here to provide information. Make of it what you will ![]()
|
Englishisamust:Hahaha. Own goal. ![]() They actually did. Monchi the great Sevilla sporting director joined them. |
raumdeuter:Yeah it was around August that it started. Initially slowly but then it picked up pace. Investment analysts kept boboing the public that it would bounce back while secretly offloading the stocks of their high value clients. When everybody finally realised stocks plummeted. |
Jokerman:That’s true. Skipped my mind. |
Even Mr Good ebening got Aston Villa playing exciting football. ![]() |
MRTA7:I don't want to turn this into a long argument cos like i said it is majorly on ETH. I just want to ask you, after how many games did you start getting horror vibes about Antony? I also don't agree with this mindset that the manager has to be backed up to the point of foolishness. Fans can think like that but not the top brass making the difficult decisions. If that is their mindset, then they probably should not be holding those jobs. This is how we blew hundreds of millions of dollars over the past decade while building a team that has not given us even 1 single full season of good quality football. This is also how we accumulated junk players who keep dragging the club down 2-3 years after the manager who hired them has been fired. There have been several occasions in which Man City have pulled out of a deal because either the transfer fee was too high or the player demands were excessive, however nobody can turn around and claim that Pep was not backed. Backing the manager does not mean that those who are paid to carry out the due diligence should lose their cognitive ability. P.S Yes, he won't look out of place in the championship. I can bet big money that he would not dominate even at that level. He is a nothing player and he would most likely still be stinking up the joint for us years after ETH has been fired. |
Donkogbe:His gaslighting attempt and manipulation has started working on you and maybe even more on the rest of the youth. You should be relieved and not be disturbed. At least he has cleared all doubt and revealed himself to be a chop chop pastor. |
MRTA7:Possibly. I am not going to die on that hill. I will say most of the blame is on him but it is rarely 100% one person’s fault. There are several other people being paid big bucks to do a job in that organisation. Putting the blame 100% on one person without looking at the whole picture is why we keep regressing while sacking manager after manager. Nobody in that whole place could look ETH in the face and say, “excuse me sir but it is like your head is hitting the ground if you think this guy will be our new right wing star”, or look at Murtough and say “excuse me sir but it is like they are cooking on your head if you think this salsa dancer is worth 80m pounds”. Heck Murtough and ETH should have been able to tell each other that. |
Onkoolos:Unfortunately, this time we can't blame the scouts. ETH was his manager for 2 years at Ajax and he was the one that okayed the deal. One can criticize the management for going as high as 80m pounds for him because they initially dragged their feet but even for that ETH has to share in the blame. The rational reaction ETH should have given the club after hearing the potential fee was HELL NO! |
Jokerman:Top 4 don go longest time. I think i said it over a month ago. Our team is not well constructed and the other teams in contention have managers that are as good if not better than our manager. We can probably pray for a typical end of season Spurs collapse cos that is the only possible route into that top 4. |
YourBestWriter:Yes. Over 60yrs of service. |
