Leyqute: Muscle. Rumor is he’ll be good for the weekend.
I’d prefer McTom is available for both games against Leeds tho. He always goes apeshit them. That is true. It is because Leeds midfield is usually an autobahn. Wide open spaces and no speed limits. No need for too much technique. |

larride: Who are these Al Thani family that Utd Twitter are wanking on about the takeover?
If they are involve in PSG, theres no way they can buy MUFC They are trying to circumvent this by presenting this bid differently. PSG is owned by QSI (Qatar Sports Investment) which is a subsidiary of QIA (Qatar Investment Authority). QIA is the state-run sovereign wealth fund. This United bid is apparently being prepared by a group of PRIVATE Qatari investors. It just happens that these PRIVATE investors are members of the royal family. LOL. To summarize, PSG is owned by the Qatar government while Man Utd would be owned by members of the Qatari royal family/nobility. Still very sticky. It depends on how UEFA interprets the ownership structures. |

It is understandable to have been an ardent supporter of Buhari in 2015. Very questionable however to have been supporting him in 2020-2022. Whoever takes over from is taking over a clusterf.u.c.k. You can't tell me Buhari is not watching news or being briefed on what's happening on social media by Garba Shehu, Ahmad and co. You were defending this guy a few months ago. You swept aside all the evidence of maladministration and kept dropping all the pics of Mikano and Tucano jets. |

Jobless Boys for area will not let you rest too.... Only jobless boys? What about the police? My mum was coming home from church one day when the car was stopped by the police at the estate gate. chrisooblog: Yes oil prices fell but currency was still stable, population not out of control, basic services still functioning reasonably.
What I'm saying in short is that Baba Kekere was dealt a good hand and didn't have many reasons not to do well.
Unlike today's contemporary governor who apart from dwindling revenue has to deal with crippling debt, decrepit infrastructure, high population, devalued currency and that's just on a regular day. Look at Soludo for instance he's learning the hard way that theory and governance are two entirely different things. No definitely things are more difficult now. The rot is very deep. Like in most cases prevention is better than cure. Things are so bad now, which is why I personally have no hopes that the country has any real future. |

chrisooblog: Yes he did very well but don't forget to factor into the equation that during his time Nigeria was rolling in money from oil sales, stable currency, low population and support from the FG then who built a lot of infrastructure in Lagos then from Gowon to Shagari. Not 100% true. By 1981 oil prices had fallen and the oil boom had ended. Half of Jakande’s tenure was actually in the midst of a national economic crisis. |

Why isn't Jakande eulogised like Tinubu?
I grew up reading about his inputs in the development of Lagos, but nobody talks about him like that.[/color] It is just because of the passage of time. It was a long time ago and he was governor for only 4 years. Plus he didn’t build a power base like Tinubu. Lagosians of a certain age give Jakande his due respect. |

raumdeuter: When our revenue as a country is compared to our population most will realize that we are a poor country
Sometimes we will read that Nigerias total budget is equal to a ministry budget in a state in a foreign country
Some of the subsidies are not sustainable given our population
In a state like California certain income bands pay 37% to Federal, pay 12% to state before other deductions that is over 50% of total income gone
In some European countries its even worse
We need to either find a way to increase the size of the cake or reduce the mouths that depend on the cake Ona kan o w'oja. We have to do both. Increase revenue and also reduce unnecessary expenditure like subsidies (fuel and tertiary education for instance) and embezzlement. If those efforts are implemented successfully the country's judgement day might be postponed. |

I want those pointless subsidies (fuel, forex, tertiary education) stopped so the country can grow and develop like those countries Nigerians migrate to. Cyberrex: The breakdown of their relationship happened due to olè being a clueless coach, the team was being built on individual brilliance, the players strife to outperform each other every game day, team work zero! Leadership zero! Tactics zero! So the players have automatic seen themselves as competitors rather as team mates, so Greenwood going down was automatically a triumph for rashford
Also rashford is on a good run of goalscoring, if there's anybody capable of dragging that starboy stuff from him in that team, it is greenwood (even if they don't even play the same position), I pray all details are given to Erik and he sees beyond the players and greenwood himself, so as to be able to balance and make them see that they're not rivals rather team mates
Modified: I don't have anything against rashford, funny thing is, he might not be part of those that don't want him, I just based my argument on what he did after the situation occurred (the post he made on IG), He shouldn't have when he doesn't have the entire narrative yet You are spot on with regards to lack of leadership causing the response from individual players when it happened last year. Under better leadership the players probably would have been told to stay out of it, rather than appearing to throw their teammate under the bus. Pertaining to why Rashy (and some others) might not want him, it is hard to know what is going on in each person's mind. Some people might truly be fearful of him coming back to outshine them but there might be people in that squad who have a real hatred for anything assault-related based on their own experiences or experiences of family members. |

TrebleChamp: Greenwood was registered as a Manchester United player this season, even with his ongoing attempted rape charge case. If United could register him when they shouldn't have, is it now that he is free they will throw him away. Won't be surprised to see him play this season, since he is already registered.... I am hearing that some players don't really want him back, and there are fears that this might derail the dressing room. I am sure Greenwood himself is quietly beefing a few of the players. People like Rashy that allegedly unfollowed him and started posting lovey-dovey pics of him and his GF. |
