I don't think we signed him on time to beat the registration deadline but will see in a few hours.

Don't be too sure he benches Fred that quickly. It took Casemiro nearly 1 month to bench McTominay and gulf in quality between those 2 is even greater.

Casemiro’s job is more defensive and destructive. I don’t think it will matter to Casemiro whether he is on the right or left side of the pair.

Also Sabitzer is actually decent with his left foot. Finally, Fred will likely be Casemiro’s partner for the immediate future. Sabitzer is there to add depth and to compete for a place. It’s a new league, new team, new system. He is not guaranteed to bench Fred.

No. Most of his games have been either as an 8 or as the most advanced of 3 midfielders. With his skill set he is a natural 8 than can do a job at 10 and an emergency job at 6.

The team needs the title more than it needs the record fee. We won’t get a better chance to win it again.

He rarely played RB at RBL. He was mostly deployed as a CM or AM.

Mainoo appears to have leapfrogged Zidane in ETH's estimation, but maybe it was cos they were prepping Zidane for a loan deal. He is the best like for like replacement for Eriksen in the squad, although i believe our 1st choice CM partnership is now Casemiro/Fred.

As per conditions there are so many.

First one is ability of course, but most of them have some level of ability.

Next is health. For instance Matteo Mejia who was probably more highly rated than Garnacho in Spain has been injured pretty much for 3 years. He has had 2 season long injuries and since returning has been quite average. Willy Kambwalla has a similar story.

Then next is discipline. Extreme examples of what can go wrong are Morrison and Greenwood. But even less extreme ones include poor diet and being absent from training (Cassano, Dembele, and now Charlie McNeill).

Then luck with the quality of the team, the manager and player leadership, the opportunities. With regards the manager and opportunities, McTom was probably the 3rd or 4th best midfielder in his set, but he then grew 6 inches or so in just over a year. Luckily for him Mourinho wanted a big, powerful midfielder and gave him his shot. The rest of that squad is playing lower league football apart from Rashford and Tuanzebe.

Always.

Class of 92 had quality but came into a winning team with a legendary manager and incredible leaders like Cantona, Robson, Hughes, Ince, Irwin, Schmeichel. Compare that to the shyte show that Adnan Januzaj, Rashford, Martial came into.

Apart from Messi who knows how things would have turned out for the Barca squad. Xavi’s genius was being wasted by mediocre managers like Rijkaard until Pep came to save him.

So many factors determine who will be successful and who will not. Look at Morrison that was 3 times the player Lingard was. He became a journeyman in the lower leagues while Lingard became an England international.

It’s not going to be easy. It’s always a lottery with academy boys. Even sure bankers like Greenwood are never that sure.

A player like Hannibal is playing regular first team football but his team plays the most archaic and diabolically negative football possible. He wouldn’t have learnt anything about attacking football this season.

You also have a boy like McNeill who has lost his way completely in the reserves partly because of indiscipline.

Then you have Amad thriving in the Championship but still not a certainty to succeed in the EPL.

You know the easy stylistic comparison for Lacey is Foden. For Ibragimov with his superior pace, size, power and good technique I think Rooney is a good stylistic comparison.

100m will waste if people don't tell him the truth. Spinning on one spot on the ball like you are at a roundabout and pocoleeing over the ball with the left leg is the road to perdition. The earlier he cuts out such elemu moves from his game the higher his chances of succeeding here.

He needs to get the ball and decisively run at defenders immediately, either cutting on his left with the option of using the overlapping FB or driving on the outside and cutting the ball across with his right. Pocolee moves o jawo mo.

Andy Carol is a dunderhead. He wanted to injure our 2 central midfielders.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an MCL ligament injury. The guy is even lucky. That is the kind of tackle that damages ACL, MCL, LCL simultaneously.

We move to the next game. Na EPL and Carabao concern me more sef.

Antony played better in this game. He was more direct and decisive in taking on the opposition players and he made his moves early, whether it was cutting inside or going on the outside.

There is still lots of room for improvement though, especially with his finishing and decision making. The quality of the opposition also needs to be taken into consideration. We need to see him be as decisive in his actions when he faces EPL opposition.

Overall he had a decent game, though I don’t think he was man on of the match. That was Casemiro IMO.
