Jodera:Lol. So you didn't know Merson played for Assanal? Academy product and played more than a decade with the senior team. Very good technically, but it is quite ironic coming from him who was known as an alcoholic and cocaine addict. |
Jodera:Paul Merson? Assanal through and through. |
nihilistjnr:Gbadamosi is obviously lying through his teeth to try to finesse Igbo votes into PDP’s box. Only ignorant people can believe that allegation. Or people with an axe to grind. |
nihilistjnr: ![]() Some people prefer to write down the answer and start looking for the question. |
GloriousGbola:That is what the OGs call sarewagba. pump and dump. blow and go. smash and dash. ati bee bee lo. |
izzou:Are you sure? Cos
|
GloriousGbola:You get am. Period wey for don go across the border. |
GloriousGbola: This one will ride the period into oblivion. Next thing she will be telling izzou that she can't find her period. |
OasisX:Firstly, are we in the olden days? Secondly, high school did not end in Form 4 during Tinubu's schooling days. Thirdly, are you insinuating that Tinubu is not oriented to time (key feature of dementia) and thinks we are in the olden days?
|
Nezzjnr:Na how e sure say no be Bruno dey copy the grandma i want know. Those Bruno passes can only be from an agba baller. |

CrystalTiger:It is not the same. Training doing what? Who has he been dribbling past in training? Who has been tackling him? Who has been in goal for him to improve his shooting? Running all day and lifting weights is not the same. And this is assuming he has the discipline and inner drive to maintain fitness for a year while facing possible jail time and online abuse. |
CrystalTiger:Lol. For a player who has not played in 1 year. It might take him up to a month to become fit enough to even train with the 1st team. That is assuming he is welcomed back. It is very likely he is eventually sold off to a club outside the UK. The most significant thing is that he is not going to jail. |
MRTA7:Yeah. I am leaning that way myself. Unless they stylishly leave it to the new owners to deal with it in the summer. |
Will they have the b.a.l.l.s to bring him back? |
Leyqute:Maybe but we didn't really suffer for it. Keano emerged as a leader, Nicky Butt was a decent replacement and later on Scholes came in as a bonus addition. The one that really pains me until this day is Jaap Stam's exit. We might have won a 4th straight premier league title and gone far in the UCL because that was the year we got Ruud and we scored loads of goals but had many ridiculous loses. |
GloriousGbola:He won't be bothered. If as a sitting president he oversees an election in which his party's candidate loses he will become a United Nations world peace ambassador sef. ![]() There won't be much vilification. and whatever tiny vilification exists won't bother him. |
Leyqute:I am talking about 92-95 Ince was our best central midfielder. Better than Keane. Better than Robson. Better than Butt. That is when he was cocky. There were not many black players in his position at that time. He subsequently became the 1st black player to captain England. He was not rude or arrogant but was just very, very sure (some might say full) of himself, and that was an era in which many people would not have liked that coming from a black man. |
Buhari is pulling a Keyser Soze on Tinubu. He would rather see the country burn than give up his territory to Tinubu. Showing him what will really is. One has to respect his don'tgiveafuckability. |
Leyqute:How many positions can Mudryk play? |
Leyqute:At that time Ince was still a little better than Roy Keane. Many people forget how good Ince was. He made PFA Team of the Year 3 times in that stretch. He was hard as nails, could run, could pass. He was definitely more important to that team at that time than Keane. |
Leyqute:Yeah. He was a black London boy, playing for the top club in the country and also an England international. He was said to have been feeling himself and given himself his nickname (The Guvnor). Ferguson felt he bottled a major Champions League tie (i think it was against Barca) and then famously called him a "big time Charlie" years later when he was at Liverpool. |
Leyqute:Yeah it was a surprising decision, but the story was that Fergie didn't like Ince's cocky attitude plus he had Keane and Butt as ready-made replacements. |
GloriousGbola:At this point in his life i am not sure how he can be made to pay up. Unless Tinubu somehow wins the election and decides to deal with him, which would be an ill-advised and self-sabotaging move. He is leaving office in a few months anyway and he is never running for office again. He really does not have much to lose. |
Nezzjnr:It is not a Northerner’s issue but a Buhari issue. Don’t forget that without the support of many of the Northern governors and powerbrokers Tinubu wouldn’t have won the primaries. In 1984 after Babangida, Abacha, Mohammed Gusau, Joshua Dogonyaro, MKO Abiola et al put Buhari in power he started investigating many of them for various crimes, which is why they bundled him out unceremoniously after less than 2 years. The guy has a history of striking deals with the devil, benefitting from the deal and then finding Jesus when it is time to pay up. 😂 |
Ellexy:Buhari never intended Tinubu to succeed him. He only used him to get the Presidency. I don’t think there is anything Tinubu could have done or not done to guarantee Buhari’s support. Now the reason why Buhari never wanted him is up for debate, but I suspect the same qualities which Tinubu used to ensure Buhari’s victory are the same qualities which Buhari detests in him. The only reason all this is being played out so publicly is that Tinubu has refused to go down quietly. |
BlueRayDick:The guy’s game is simple. Do everything humanly possible to ensure Tinubu has a terrible outing at the polls without actually coming against him publicly. |
raumdeuter:Technically you are talking of plurality not majority. |
Theflint1:It is a plurality not a majority. He does not have to win majority of the votes he just has to be 1st placed and win more votes than any other individual candidate, as well as minimum 25% of votes in at least 24 states. |
OasisX:You should pray he gets well first, from an irreversible degenerative neurological disease. Tinubu is coming 8 years too late. Voting for him is voting for the cabal that will be controlling affairs when he gets into office. If you are confident that it will be an organized, progressive, and well-meaning cabal then feel free. I have an 80yr old patient with Parkinson's Dementia who was one of the leading interventional cardiologists in the country. 5 years ago he was an emeritus professor discussing cutting edge technology in cardiac surgery, today he is barely able to feed himself (not just because of the physical difficulties but because he doesn't really know what food is for these days). |
We lost VDB and Eriksen and got Sabitzer. One of our academy players has to step up big time. There are just too many matches for the senior players. |
Leyqute:You are spot on. In a vacuum. But you have to consider that changing leagues, teams, systems might require a bedding in period. How quickly he does that will determine how quickly he gets a starting berth. Like you said, we just need to wait n see. |
