akwesenana: Well, I saw 45-55% possession but the scoreline was confusing. Hmm Manchester city Academy will keep churning out talents for them 50 years from now. We have a long way to go. ManCity dominance looks to stay for long. When it was 1-1 we had 70% possession at half time. When it was 1-2 we had 63% possession. Yeah, they have some talented players partly because they have been getting the best local talent ahead of United cos their facilities are so much better. I however think that the main difference is coaching. Their academy has put in serious work into employing the best youth coaches in the country. |

akwesenana: How did this happen?? MUTV didn't show it live so i am not sure. Talking about MUTV, they have been crappy over the past several months. One hardly gets to watch Academy/Reserve games anymore. With regards to the game itself, i suspect bone headed defending which has been a recurring decimal over the past couple of seasons. We have good midfielders in the Under-21s but no quality wingers, strikers, or defenders. That is why you can have close to 60% possession in a game and still lose 6-1. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:23pm On Nov 05, 2022 |
Now 1-6 with 58% possession. This manager is just useless. |

Under 21s are facing Man City with 3 CBs, 1 FB, 6 midfielders. No winger and no striker. LOL Half time: 70% possession. 1-1 score line. |

MRTA7: I mostly agree with your stance. I do think ETH believes he has to balance building a team but also getting results now. Last night was his strangest show of game management but I think this is common for someone who was Pep's student. Sometimes, They just overthink things. Yeah. I think you are right. When I saw the changes, it reminded me of all those years at Bayern and City that Pep shot himself in the foot in the Champions League by cooking up strange formations in the knockout stages. So far sha I see substitutions and in-game adjustments as ETH’s weak points. Time will tell if this is true or if it’s just cos he is still getting to know his players. |

MRTA7: I think the squad is very thin on quality when you have just a few absences. I really hope the club can find more money to strengthen the team. in January and next summer.
Hopefully we dont get Barca or Juve in the next round. squad is not strong enough to fight for Europa League and Top 4. The squad needs improvement but ETH himself is not helping matters by underutilizing what he has. Pellistri on the right wing for 20 mins at the end of yesterday's game could have worked. Then you move Bruno to no10. Or when you see that Eriksen is playing rubbish you bring in Fred to partner Casemiro, or even give Iqbal 25 mins to make a claim. Moving McTominay to CB and Maguire to CF is the strangest tactical move i have seen in a very long time. The reason why it seems the squad is so thin is because he is overusing some players and underusing others. McTominay that was keeping Casemiro out is now getting 5 mins here and there. Fred that has had 1 or 2 encouraging games is also a bit part player, while Eriksen is running on empty stinking up the place consecutively like a stink up artist. |

nitrogen: Well, not like he beats his man or plays lots of crosses. Better to play wingers that are not in form than play your best midfielder there.
It does not make sense! Bruno for VDB and even Elanga on the right would have made more sense. |

Leyqute: Route 1 football LooL.
Erik Ten Haag- The Innovating Madman. They didn't even play the route one well. See as they were struggling to create single decent crossing opportunity for 5 whole minutes. The opponents packed the box with 7 men and 3 men were pressing you and preventing you from moving the ball to a good crossing position. Special shout out to Eriksen, VDB, Rashford. They really did a great job of stinking up the joint. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:42pm On Nov 03, 2022 |
Leyqute: The permutations are way off mark. Way too much. This is the first game we played like an Ole team. 5 whole minutes of injury time and they could not cross one single quality ball into the box. Instead of crossing from the flanks they were crossing from the centre of the pitch. |

Cos why is Bruno on the right wing and Rashford playing down the middle?
These subs sef no gel at all. ETH seems to have problems with in-game adjustments. |

I would take either Eriksen or VDB off at half time, move Bruno infield and get Rashford on. We need more pace in attack. |

Roland17: Dayo, It's a rally not a tour. A rally involves electorates and residents of the State. We already know the reality on ground in Anambra, it will be dangerous to set the citizens on a collision course with UGM. Jagaban has the protections to visit any part of the country, the common man in Anambra who may want to see Jagaban doesn't. It is not advisable to hold the rally on that day. You can’t put the lives of people at risk just to prove a point. If Tinubu wins next year he can carry out changes and then punish the hoodlums. |

TrebleChamp: I concur and since its is a dead rubber game, ETH should rest Rashford for Garnacho on the LW. He should also give Iqbal and Mainoo their first start of the season... It is not dead rubber. We need to win by 2 goals to avoid a Champions League dropout in the next round. |

Theflint1: I see am, it's clear to even the blind that something fishy is going on. When you go register for the PVC, one of the first questions they ask you is whether you've registered in the past before, once you say you have or you're not sure, they check your biodata and if you've registered prior, it shows up. This volume of invalid registration and from certain regions is by design and in usual APC fashion, their INEC arm will refuse to come out to explain what happened. Why should they even have to ask? Their software should be able to identify someone with prior registration, and if it can't then too bad of them. Nigerians are not helping themselves too though. An adult should be able to remember if he already registered for something as important as elections. |

Expert17: Lets go for Sancho .................Martial can go to Arsenal Expert17: Yes.
We need a solid CB pairing ( Maguire and Baily), and i think Smalling, Lindelof and Tuazebe as back-up, Rojo and Jones should leave.
No issues with RB and LB, ( AWB, Dalot, Shaw and Williams) all young (below 25 ) and energetic.
Our goalkeeping department is the strongest in EPL, we just need improvement from Degea ( confidence and decision-making).
Our midfield is 100% okay.
With the addition of Sancho @ RW, our forward line is perfect. Mi o ni so nkankan
