Goals, assist and chances created for forward players...
I see you have started retracing your steps like the Oba in village headmaster. cheesy

So it is no longer goals per game ratio?

If I ask for a combined 11 of PSG and Manchester United, na that time you go start to hear different talk...
It is when i ask you to name the quality defenders and goal keepers Messi is facing in Ligue 1 that we will hear another story. Shey na defenders wey Pepe dey bully up and down? grin

We are talking about the both players here, Messi best him in goals scored per game, assist, chances created, dribbles etc...

Messi is 2 years younger...
Are you saying goals per game ratio is the decider in the GOAT debate? grin

We can't use in deciding between Player A and Player B, then discard it when Players C, D, E, and F are included?
You know what is good for the Jew is good for Uganda. cheesy

Going by that coefficient, is a goal scored in France any less than that scored in England?

The fact that Messi who is 2 years younger has a better goal to game ratio points to his superiority...Imagine if they were mates, he for dey pass Ronaldo by at least 100 goals...

Are you sure you want to go the goal to game ratio route? grin

Are you saying goal to game ratio is the decider over who is the GOAT? cheesy

Even before now, a younger Messi has a better goals to game ratio...

When you compare Messi to Ronaldo who is two years his senior, we no talk about age differences so, don't bring quality of leagues when Messi out scores him at the end of the season.
Can you explain how we won't consider quality of leagues when UEFA itself uses coefficients to award Golden Shoe?

And how won't age matter? You think 34 to 36 na child's play? Ronaldo that lost his long distance speed over the last 2 years? Na only movement and 5-10 yard acceleration remain for bros, after 10 yards bros fuel dey finish like careless kabukabu driver. cheesy

Let the stone throwing commence.

You all know yourselves.
There is no need to throw stones. It was just funny that some people's reflex reaction to the praise of any other manager is to attack the manager just because they want to defend Amaka.

Imagine comparing Amaka to Marcelo Bielsa? Even if Leeds get relegated and Amaka wins a title shoe get size. I watch Amaka's team and it looks like they are passing a stone and not a football. The opponents get the ball and the stone miraculously turns into a football again.

When the season ends, we will be here to see how each of them performed.

Messi started slow last season and had Melvyn talking about open play goals but by mid season, Melvyn disappeared like the fart of a leprous witch...
They are both GOUTs no doubt.

But before banana turns to iron can we agree on a conversion factor which will take into consideration Messi being 2 years younger and playing in a farmer's league?

Or don't you think it will be a bit unfair to compare a 36yr old in EPL to a 34 yr old in Ligue 1? cry

.... until its tried out, we wouldn't know Bro.
We don't have a tactical set up that can retain possession well in pressure situations. Which means those 3 will spend a huge chunk of the time running helter-skelter chasing after the ball. Pogba also has suspect positional discipline and this might be exposed even more without a traditional enforcer behind him.

It can be tried but the chances of success are not good.

I think Mark Goldbridge is definitely Ole out now. According to him, the only reason he's not shouting it is Ole won't get the sack. He prefers asking for reforms and changes In the coaching personal. I mean dem carrick, phelan and co.
I think it is just an excuse cos he can't say the real reason: He viciously attacked so many OleOut in the past so he is afraid of the optics if he starts shouting OleOut now.

I didn't see the u-18 game, I was taking a nap.

I am currently watching the Wolves V Brentford game, Brentford are one man down and still finding a way to actually attack and just hit the framework. That game against Young Boys was the last straw for me regarding Ole. Lol, I know you never believed in his capabilities based on the Amaka moniker grin
Amaka will always disappoint. Who no know go know, sooner or later.

I watched the Under-18s. It was their second good game on the bounce after a torrid start to the season. I had written them off after their first 2 games. I am not sure there is any huge talent in the group but they seem to have a decent number of okay players.

Your man Philip Anthony Jones played 90 mins for the u-23 as a midfielder.

cheesy cheesy TBH, they complain big time about Ole’s tactics, just that they can’t directly say Ole out. It’s a very difficult position, I completely agree.
Most of them need him to build their brand and name recognition so they won’t step on his toes.

With regards the Old Trafford fans, I don’t believe they will go against the Glazers if they sack Amaka and appoint a quality manager.

Protests might have been a possibility last season but not now. That’s cos this season almost everybody agrees that he has been properly backed.

If he continues to deliver poor performances and results he won’t have those fans on his side.

See the 'true/real' Utd fans, the ones that watch games almost every week, they still believe in the Ole project. Exactly what I said a few days ago. These guys are very happy with our performances, not because we play good football, but because we have legends in control.....why should the Glazers bother to sack, if, under Ole, we can make top 4, no trophies, and the fans are not complaining? If this shit is happening under a different manager, you will see helicopters and banners almost everywhere.

'United stand' guys (they are on youtube) dont like Ole's style, but they can't really go against him. They dare not say Ole out, they keep complaining every match day and hope that Ole gets it right very soon. They shut dem oleouters up.

Majority of our ex-players are also on this table. They can never say Ole out. But it was very easy for them to say Mou out, LVG out.

We die here together.
The problem with The United Stand is that they were strongly OleIn at the start and over time they chased most of the OleOut people out of the group, and in most cases the exit was acrimonious.

Their problem right now is only partially because of Amaka's ex-player status but mainly due to ego of being wrong about Amaka after fighting over it. For example Goldbridge (their boss) generally hates the involvement of ex-players and legends in the club so he is not really supporting Amaka now just cos he is a legend. The problem for him is the way he attacked OleOut in the past, which has now tied his hands as he can't now join them in shouting OleOut.

Then there are people there who are quietly OleOut (the girl, Old Ricky, and the Irish guy) but are not doing it with force because they have seen how Goldbridge treated (or maltreated OleOutters) in the past.

But some of u judge players like that.... If it was fred that had 30 tackles and one red card.... Only the red card will be talked about
Stop comparing apples and oranges. Your analogy makes no sense.

Ndidi has been excellent for years and one of the best CDMs in the EPL but you are judging him over one red card.

Has Fred been equally excellent? Are the people who criticize Fred judging him over just one match or over a long stretch of poor performances?

Swallow your L with pride. Nobody forced you to criticize Ndidi over one card before you came here to type your post. You were the one that came here to criticize arguably the best and one of the most consistent CDMs in the league because he got a red card in a match. Nobody put gun for your head.

“We significantly strengthened the squad over the summer, with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton. These signings have demonstrated our continued ability to attract some of the world’s best footballers to Old Trafford, and our firm commitment to helping Ole deliver success on the pitch.

“We have been clear in our strategy to build a squad with a blend of top-class recruits and homegrown talent, comprising a balance of youth and experience, with the aim of winning trophies and playing attacking football the Manchester United way.

“As part of this, we have continued to strengthen our recruitment and scouting processes, and we have also increased our investment in the Academy, to ensure that this success is sustainable. While squad-building is a constant process, we are more confident than ever that we are on the right track.”

- Ed Woodward
