Considering his talent, potential, and the position he plays this is one of the more reasonable deals we have made recently. AWB was also unproven when we gave him 90k weekly, and he is a defender.
Dr Jones and Dr Rojo discharged themselves from hospital long enough to sign new deals for 75k and 80k weekly.

Before he ever played for the first team i had already told guys here that he was the best finisher in the club and people were laughing. You are right about those 2 areas he needs to improve on, especially heading the ball. I think his movement is still manageable and would only improve the more he plays as CF and trains with a movement sith like Cavani.

They should move Greenwood to CF as back up to Cavani. He has far more potential in that role than Rashford and Martial. He will turn 20 next season and we should start finding out whether he is the real deal now.
Martial and Rashford should fight it out for LW while Amad and someone else fight it out for the RW.

How do you get assists when your passes are being wasted? He has created more goal scoring opportunities than all our players apart from Bruno.
He needs to improve his scoring, that i agree with you but that assist stat is vey misleading.

You need to look deeper into the stats cos they can be misleading. I agree he needs to improve on his scoring but those assist stats do not tell the whole story.

You know key passes are a more objective way of assessing creativity as assists are dependent on the receiver of the pass finishing well. He is averaging more key passes per game (1.4) in the league than everybody not named Bruno in our team and he is still completing more dribbles than all our players. The problem is those chances he is creating are not being converted.

Even the Podence that people have been hyping lately averages only 0.8 per game. In fact if you combine both Wolves and United squads together Adama is 3rd in key passes per game behind only Bruno and Neto and is way ahead in first place in terms of completed dribbles. In a better system with better players he will surely do better.

Too many talent coming from the youth team no be all of them go break into the first team 2 or 3 players is enough and the rest should be released in order not to stall their progress or the development of other players coming through.

In a club that is producing good young talent your window as an academy product is 1-2 yrs. Once you don’t prove yourself in that period the next generation will take your place.

It is impossible to know who will make it and who will not cos it goes beyond just mere talent but physicality, mentality, health e.t.c
I would be surprised if Mejbri doesn’t make it here though. Elanga and Shoretire also have a good chance. Those 3 could be regular squad members and Mejbri might be a star.

Puigmal is the victim of indigene bias. Garner, Gomes, Levitt, Puigmal, Galbraith were all jostling for midfield positions from Under-18.

The first 3 as the stars of Under-16 were given priority for the 3 slots in midfield while Puigmal was shuffled around as RB, RM, super sub. They didn't give him an extended run in midfield as those guys were the golden boys from way back.

Galbraith being a little younger was able to become the midfield boss of the Under-18 when those 4 left. So finally he too got an extended run in midfield. The current situation is that they are reluctant to give Puigmal extended minutes as it is now understood that he will be leaving in the summer so they want to give those developmental minutes to people like Mejbri and Shoretire that are locked in for the next few years.

Talking about Shoretire i have given up on them slowing him down. It is obvious they want to promote him by fire by force. He played UEFA Under-19 when he was 14yrs old playing against people 4-5 yrs older than him. I would prefer they manage him with more caution but i don't think that is going to happen, and to be fair they have some good reasons for not doing that.

The last time he played in his own age group was Under-15 as a no10 and he scored 60 goals. Prior to that as a striker he scored 100 goals over 2 seasons. I don't know what the ceiling is for him but over the last month it is starting to look like he is finding Reserve football a little easy. Some more reserve football next season and the occasional first team appearance would be good for him.

You are correct, he has great potential. However we have not seen enough of Amad to really assess how good he is.

Elanga has stepped up his training after collarbone injury but is probably still 3-4 weeks away. He surely would have been training with the first team as well if not for the unfortunate injury.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Amad RWF, Elanga LWF, Mason CF with Shoretire and Hannibal in midfield behind them. It could work in a league cup game against lower league opposition.
