I think Martial might need to be on the bench for a bit.
Martial is about to lose his starting slot permanently as we dey watch am so. There are too many scenarios under which he loses that slot.

I expect him to warm the bench until he gets serious...

Ole have made a statement yesterday if he had started Greenwood at CF...I want Martial and Rashford to be confined to that LWF position like Mou did when he was here...Let them battle for that spot.
I think they have decided to start using Greenwood as CF. Previously that match would have started with Rashy at CF, Greenwood on the right and James on the left.

I suspect Martial won’t be here by the end of next season. Greenwood, Rashford, Amad might be the combo for the immediate future, that is if the Haaland/Sancho hunt fails.

I can bet anything that Haaland is going to Bayern in 2022 sha.

How can he correct that indiscipline is it through coaching or by himself?
He is not a dendemoron so I don’t think he should wait for his manager to correct him. He has probably had a dozen coaches in his career.

If he watched tapes after the games instead of Brazilian soap opera he would have picked up on this.

Learn to be objective. I am talking about a specific aspect of his game which he can improve on. If all our players were perfect we won’t be where we are. Even Bruno has been objectively criticised here.

Saying he can improve on his passing does not mean he is completely useless as a player.

As a deep lying midfielder Fred should be more careful with the ball. Constant energy and pressing is a positive attribute of his but loose passes when least expected is a negative attribute that can and should be addressed.

I'm still trying to understand the science of Fred, someone like him with low centre of gravity is careless with his passes, falls easily like a leaf, I always thought short people passed the ball better (not backed up by facts sha) and have better balance Fred's case is opposite
Normally when you see such small players, especially those that are bent like Fred it is hard to bring them down but eph12's guy falls yakataly every day. But i can't blame him too much for that obe. He is small and light so maybe he can't help it.

But that passing is quite a problem. His woeful passes are just due to mental indiscipline not physical limitation. This means he can improve on his passing if he truly wants, which is why i focus on it.

Doc who are we comparing him with in that team in that last match?
I am not comparing o. I just noticed what you said that he misplaced SEVEN SIMPLE passes in the match. O wrong nau!

There was a time people were trying to rope him into one of Maguire's disaster classes i had to defend him. I try not to allow agenda affect my assessment so you should know i am saying this next bit objectively. He is the most careless passer we have in our team. He misplaces passes not because he can't pass the ball but because he is not just bothered to treat each pass as an important action.

There is no one in our team that misplaces simple passes like Fred. Another culprit is Bruno sometimes but at least that one makes up for it with goals and assists and he plays higher up the field. A CM/CDM like Fred should not be that careless with his passes. After studying Fred it appears he actually has good passing ability but is just incredibly careless with the ball.

O wrong nau. O wa too wrong nau.

Leyqute:
There’s no agenda here. It is what it is.

The fact that he scores some goals doesn’t excuse his many errors, especially when it concerns teamplay and linkup.

We had a golden chance to score Liverpool at Anfield and your boy decided to run himself into a tight corner with Henderson and another defender when Cavani was free, begging for the ball.

In the last EPL game before today (vs West Brom, is it?) Rashford had a chance to equalize a few minutes after we went behind in the 2nd minute. The ball was in front of him and he only had the keeper to beat. Instead of hitting it one time, your guy froze for a second, decided to take it to his left, form a dribble and then lose it.

What about the last Europa league game against Sociedad? He lost 2 good chances before converting the one Fred left on a platter of gold for him.

This last one isn’t about his schoolboy errors, it’s about the chances he’s missed.

Those are just off the top of my head. There are other errors.

But see him score a goal today and you think all those schoolboy errors are inconsequential? If they didn’t cost us today, it doesn’t mean they haven’t in the past or wont in the future.

Rashford is one of the most senior players at United. He’s been playing for the first team before the Maguires, Bissakas and Brunos arrived. He should be leading the way, yet he’s the one making making wrong decisions all over the pitch.

This is not about today, it’s about the matches he’s been playing this season.

And it’s not an agenda like you’re saying. I just want him to be more consistent and mature on the ball. It’s like asking Bruno to be patient before hitting some passes. It’s not an agenda, we just want him to get better. Cos watching Rashford make those errors is really irritating and annoying.

Other top players lose good chances but they don’t make those schoolboy errors, or that often.
All these yarns over Rashford. With his contribution to goals this season there is no way in hell any Bible believing United fan will accept you saying he has been uber useless. Not even simply useless o, but uber useless.

Take away his goals and assists and we would be comfortably mid-table. If he had been having the kind of goal drought Martial and Greenwood were having we would struggling to qualify for next season's Europa.

You are on your own in this one. Well maybe you and mummy thank you.

Exactly. All those finals Federer lost coming back to haunt him. 20 out of 31, though admittedly Novak 18 in 28 is almost as worse arithmetically. Nadal has 20 in 28, 12 of which came from Roland Garros. Federer is still GOAT as far as I am concerned.
It is actually 13 Roland Garros for Nadal. Federer is my G.O.A.T too for the beauty of his game and for the balance in his titles. He has very good records in 3 of the 4 slams (5 or more wins in 3 of the 4 slams) unlike Nadal and to a lesser extent Nole who spammed us with just 1 slam.

Nadal is level on 20 grand slams with Federer...

I am tipping Djokovic to end up tops because he is fitter...Nadal has injury issues and struggles on grass...
I know that. It is 20, 20, 18 right now. I have already taken it as a given that they will both pass Federer.

Djokovic is fitter but Nadal is 2 ahead right now and has a guaranteed annual. So Nole has to win multiples every year until he is about 36 for him to be sure of surpassing Nadal cos the Spaniard is likely to still add 2-3 French titles to his tally.

I am rooting for Djokovic cos i like them in the order Federer, Djokovic, Nadal. Djokovic is the only one that can stop Nadal from being the all time leader and that as a Federer fan is something i do not want.

Who knows Novak might just step up and claim either Wimbledon or the US open(another hard court). But the French is untouchable except of course Rafa is injured
Nadal owns French. Nole almost owns Aus. Nole is a bit better on the other surfaces but they are both more beatable at Wimbledon (surface) and US (end of year attrition and fatigue).

He will most likely surpass Federer and Nadal...
Nadal and Djokovic will most likely surpass Federer in grand slam titles. Which of them will be number 1 will most likely depend on health.

Federer has stopped winning titles, Nadal has 1 guaranteed title a year and Djokovic has 1 guaranteed title as well.

Nole is 2 titles behind Nadal but 1 yr younger. So COVID willing Nadal surpasses Roger this year at Roland Garros and Nole then starts chasing Nadal. Whichever of the 2 maintains health and fitness will be the last man standing.

It’s the intent the refs look at. TAA intentionally raised his leg. DCL was probably already falling before TAA raised his leg to trip him, but TAA did raise his leg to trip him and that can be seen as trying to stop a clear goal scoring opportunity. Even TAA did not protest against the pen because he knows what he did. When the ref went to the VAR monitor, I expected him to come back and brandish a red card and I am sure TAA feared the same.

The ref did not waste anytime at the VAR screen probably because he immediately saw that TAA intentionally raised his leg and that was all he was looking for. I think he was lenient, Mike dean would have given TAA a red card.
Yeah i have watched it again. TAA convicted himself by raising that leg. It was unnecessary because DCL was already going down, but having raised it the ref should have given a penalty and a red card.
If however the ref was giving the penalty for the initial fall over TAA's body i don't agree with that one. If he was giving the penalty for the petulantly raised leg why was the red card not given as per the new rules?

I will have to watch it again to see the leg but i am sure that what brought DCL down was TAA’s head and body which DCL fell over accidentally.

United can do same with a Pogba / Bruno / Matic (or some other capable person).

Rashford & Pogba on the left, Greenwood & Bruno on the right, and an occasional switch to destabilize the opponent’s defensive setup, while Matic sits.

With VDB, it would be Rashford & Bruno on the left, Greenwood & VDB on the right, with the same occasional switch. While Martial or Cavani tension the back line.

The issue with this is that the players must be sharp with the ball at feet, and there must be a capable midfielder behind the attacking 5. Even if it means committing technical fouls occasionally to break up play when the team loses possession.
Apart from a highly capable CDM you need a high line with relatively mobile CBs for this to work. This your permutation dies at the feet of slow and slower (Lindelof and Maguire).
