olabode89: I agree with your caution on buying system players, but we need to remember the gamble Liverpool took on Jota a system player at Wolves and how good he looked before his injury. I feel it's smarter for the club to spend 30 to 40 M on guys like Pedro Neto or Raphinha, instead of punting 70 to 100M on Sancho.
I am not saying Amad ain't good enough, I just don't think he will be ready anytime soon. Also, he can develop quietly around the team and maybe get play time as a RW and LW. Let us us see how Jota does long term, but remember Jota was shining in a defensive Wolves system that is not helpful for attacking players while Raphinia is in an open Leeds side that makes all its forwards look good. It should not be only about the cheaper option. Jota is cheap but so were Bebe and David Bellion. |

olabode89: Amad is not ready and he might need at least another year before he could be relied upon. He just doesn't look comfortable at this level, unlike Greenwood when he first joined the team as a 17 years old.
Raphinha has shown growth from him time at Sporting CP and Rennes plus he has been spectacular for Leeds. His excellent relationship with Bruno during his stint at Sporting CP is also a big plus. I don't think the club will spend 70 to 100M pounds on Sancho, as we might have to splash serious cash on a CF and CB in the summer. Raphinha should be available for around 30M and we could put in Dan James to lower the fee. I am not sure one can have a definite assessment of Amad from 38 minutes over 2 games especially if the chunk of the minutes were in a disjointed match like yesterday. We need to see more minutes from Amad before the season ends in order to know if he is ready or not. Also almost all attacking players look great playing in Bielsa's structure, heck even Bamford a well known reject is banging in goals. I am always cautious about buying system players. It is like buying all those Monaco and Ajax players of recent champs league campaigns. Most of them don't look as good outside their system. |

olabode89: Omo, Amad never ready o. Make we carry money go buy Raphinha from Leeds. After 15 minutes you are sure he is not ready and we should go and spend 40-50 million on another player that may or may not be better than what we have got already. Raphinha scored 5 goals in 22 games in the French league last season. 80% of these players that are looking like ballers under Bielsa might be jeun jeun level. We should give Amad more minutes this season to show if he is the solution and if at the end we still think we need a RW i would prefer going back to old faithful Sancho. |

100trillion: My senior bro wedding was schedule for the 30th day of October 2021, his wife and her fams were on his heads, telling him to make sure the wedding is the talk of the town, that, he should rent a big hall and make sure food; drinks; meats; kola etc. are available.
So last night he told me, I asked if his wife contributed anything, he said "Monetary" No....that she said she'll bring ppl to cook food and handle things women are meant to handle.
I told my him: Snr bro, make marriage simple. Don't take loans for wedding, don't use all your savings on wedding just to please people. People come to eat, drink and leave you in povery. Manage what you have. If your wife can't help you to think straight, then she ain't wife worthy. This afternoon, in my presence he called his in-laws and called off the wedding....thank God he has not complete the dowry.
Hope I was right? Boss move. You just red-pilled your brother. |

PietroRick: I'm pretty sure Shola was made promises when he first signed AND with his last contract. He was hotly contested when he signed and some clubs were circling before his pro contract. One of the ways to get him to commit would have been to make promises.
I think his first team involvement and subsequent debut has more to do with these promises than him being physically ready. There's the obvious talent and the club obviously believe in it as well Yes i believe they made promises but that is not unusual. Mejbri for example was as highly coveted also before he chose us and promises must have been made to entice him to move over from Monaco. Shoretire right now is bigger than Fred, James, Mata so i think he is ready to contribute but not really ready to shine. He for some reason has been fast tracked since he turned 14 and i suspect it is a combination of him being talented and his family being impatient as well. I read that he once played for England Under-15 as a 14-15 yr old and was brought on in the second half of a game, scored a hat trick in a few minutes and was then taken off immediately. The guy was scoring like 50 goals a season until they started fast tracking him and i still believe it was a mistake. Leaving him to dominate each age group as he got older would have given him a better platform to develop his skills. |

Patrickmuf1: Dean has made over 13 appearances this season which is not bad. Seeing that we are still in the FA Cup and UEL, I reckon it's possible he'll make over 20 appearances across all competitions...
It's not like he's not getting games under his belt, he should be patient...His time will come... You are looking at it from your point of view as a fan. Look at it from Henderson's point of view for once. If he does not complain and cause some commotion he will remain here as DDG's no2 until that contract runs out. And the more he keeps 10-15 matches per season the more his skills depreciate. He is even lucky that we dropped to Europa this season cos in any season we stay in the UCL until knockout stages he will be struggling to make 10 apps. He can't waste his developmental years playing 10-15 games a season. It is not enough for outfielders not to talk of keepers that require more sharpness. |

Leyqute: Won’t the EPL be too physical for him? He’s still a bit deficient in that aspect although he’s stronger than Amad and Shoretire Maybe just a few minutes here and there to keep him excited and happy, then possibly loan him out next season depending on how he does in pre-season. I would still keep Shoretire in the under-23s for next season while giving him a few minutes here and there in the 1st team. |

KingAlabi: Looking at that game Tuchel plays the exact same formation lampard uses against us when we played in the past
But one thing I have noticed is the spaces on the flank because of how high Hudson and Alonso play, if rashy and James can draw azi and rudiger out then our starting CF will have a field day(on a counter though) The 3 CBs are more disciplined under Tuchel. He has tried to eliminate counter-attack opportunities against his side by playing 3 standing CBs. Even the central midfielders are quite conservative. In essence he has made them more defensive and possession minded than Lampard’s open gbas gbos that made them more likely to both score and concede goals. |

KingAlabi: What of a loan deal for degae
Where we pay 30% and the loaned-to-club pays 70%
A small price to pay for Dean's development. It is easier to loan Dean out again. They both won’t be and shouldn’t be here next season. Dean is not willing to wait and one can’t blame. Ed should find a solution but I will prefer we keep the younger keeper who will still get better, is cheaper but also more confident and better in the air. |

Leyqute: Seriously. I have a feeling he’s ready for a first team appearance and that injury derailed his ascension. He is more ready than Shoretire na so if Shoretire was judged ready then he is also ready. Problem is that it has to be in the EPL cos he is not eligible for the B list in Europe. |

TrebleChamp: True at bolded, Henderson is very good no doubt. Hope he doesn't go the way of the bolded if and when he is given the opportunity to be United no 1. Not true at all. Tomas and Ben were always going to be no2s and the fans were never really sold on Tomas especially. They were signed at about the same time as the great VDS so i don’t know how they could have been expected to be no1. They were backups from Day 1. I can concede that of Tim but he has a neurological disorder that is often worsened by heightened stress and anxiety. It is a miracle that he was able to have a decent career as a GK at all. |

Patrickmuf1: This goal keeper matter get as e be...Romero was a good deputy until he was given the chance after the fax saga to be number one and after a couple of games, he was quickly consumed by the pressure...
Henderson is still young and should be patient, in a season or 2, he will be number 1... Henderson can’t be patient for the sake of his own career. Keepers more than other players must play continuously or else they lose their sharpness. There is a reason why clubs don’t rotate keepers the way they rotate players. If Henderson waits around for 2 years he would lose so much form that another keeper would be needed to replace DDG. One of them has to go. |

TrebleChamp: If this happens, i go enter Benin City for Ed matter . Henderson should be number from the start of next season, but i won't trust Amaka to make it happen though... This one is beyond Amaka’s pay grade. You can’t replace the highest paid GK in the world without the board’s approval. The mistake was made when the board gave DDG that bumper contract even after he had started showing signs of decline and despite the fact that everyone in the club knew Henderson had a real shot at developing into a no1. |

TrebleChamp: Is Dean really mentally ready to become United number 1? Make his case to go be like Ben Foster own, Ben was doing well as second choice. He was given the chance to be number 1 but the pressure consumed him, only to go on and become one of the best EPL goalkeeper with Westbrom. If Dean can handle the pressure, he will most definitely become one of the best Goalkeeper in the League.... His mental strength is one of his strongest points. He is better in the air than DDG and he commands the goal area better and is also quite vocal a bit like Schmeichel. DDG is quiet like VDS but does not have his aerial command or Rio/Vida in front of him. At this point I prefer Henderson to be honest but nobody will buy DDG and pay him 350k weekly, and we can’t bench that kind of salary. One option would be to sell DDG for something ridiculously cheap like 25-30m then his new club might keep him on his huge salary. Having said all that I suspect Ed would offload Henderson and keep DDG. |

KingAlabi: That was on trend when Dean signed his 6 years deal
I hope Dean gets to replace degae
Rashy and dean seem to be very close friends
Dean is an aggressive united supporter though McTom and Rashford have been there together since the age of 8 or so. Dean joined them later at about 14. I personally think it is always good to have some home grown talent in the squad and McTom and Rashy are local boys too. Dean in particular has got real potential and even though he might not be better than DDG he is more complete and better suited to the English game. DDG’s large contract however means nobody (apart from maybe PSG) will be willing to pay him similar salary in this Covid era, meaning Henderson might be the one to be sold just cos he is more affordable. |
