When i say we should release players i am not talking about Pogba. We need to try and keep Pogba, and luckily he still has some years on his contract so United still has some leverage.
Pogba will play better with better midfielders around him, and he is our only true top level outfielder.

De Gea's case is different as he has only 1yr left on his contract. Either he extends this summer or we sell him, otherwise he will walk for free in a year's time.

When we say (or at least when i say) release players we are talking about salary vampires like Darmian, Sanchez, Rojo, Bailly, Mata, Valencia. At the end of next season we can continue the process of exorcism by releasing Young, Jones, Smalling.

Well you have a point. We have been the ones rumoured to be after him for so long (and by good sources) that i just felt we would get him.
Maybe it is wishful thinking on my part.
But why is it that other clubs regularly announce signings for the next season months ahead without warning rumors while United keep behaving like that loser back in school days that will toast the babe for months, only for another sharp guy to appear and knack the girl?

Sadly we might not land him. This current coach doesn’t seem like someone willing to splash that much for a youngster, given how much he cares about academy youngsters.

Apart from that, Felix has a number of suitors with most of them offering champions league football. If we qualified for the UCL then we might be able rob get him for less.

The only way we can sign him on our terms is if he loves Man Utd and wants to play for Man Utd.

There are other options but Woodward is very silly.
He watched that Ajax team and it was their keeper he liked.
If it’s 250m they want to spend we won’t move forward much, unless they fluke some cheap signings.
There is no method to our transfer policy, it’s all madness.

Obviously one of the front three. OGS favors a fluid system of 3 strikers interchanging positions. That's the formation he used throughout the winning run.

Good talent with world class potential. Has better technique than almost all our forwards.

However if it’s true that OGS will be given 250m we can’t spend half of it on an unproven teenager.
Even if we need to spend large on a teenager Sancho is less of a risk.

I would not go above 80m for either of them (assuming the 250m package is right). There are too many holes to fill and it looks like Koulibaly is coming for about 80m already, leaving 170m for about 3 or 4 positions.

Whoever they choose please they should just make the right choice.

On a serious note I'm abit concerned about Ndidi's passing. I think its too conservative.

It is a little conservative and that has to be factored into his assessment, but i would have been more concerned if he was not good on the ball or was careless in possession.
I am impressed with his work rate, tackling, strength ,ability to intercept passes and shield the back line. With someone like that in front of the CBs our full backs will have more freedom to join the attack.

Ndidi and Tielemans will improve our midfield by that shows how weak our midfield is.
We lose the midfield battle against almost any decent side we face. Apart from the Arsenal game(s) i can’t really recall our midfield dominating any other decent side.

Like I said before, if Ddidi was a Brazilian called Ndidinho with the same skill set his stock would be so much higher.
My only concern with him is football age.

Tielemans has world class potential, if he is allowed to develop in the right system with the right sort of coaching.

Oh yeah. I agree that ship has sailed. I was just pointing to the fact that we should have waited till the summer to make a considered decision. I'm still happy to support Ole and he probably would have still got the job. I just want considered decision making and not emotional ones.

With this set of players Poch, Allegri and whoever will struggle. The problem is in the scouting and recruitment department.

As long as it is Young, Smalling, Jones et al they will sink any manager. That is why the final straw that made me become anti-Mourinho was that he had multiple transfer windows and multiple preseasons but could not find a way to solve the problem, but he rather was adding more questionable players like Sanchez, Fred etc.

If Ole does not insist on a major overhaul this summer and obtain the financial backing of the board to go for the right sort of players he will be gone by January. If he allows his loyalty to Rashy, Youngy, Lingy and the other members of the old boy network to influence him he will be sacked, and those same boys he is favoring will keep their jobs.

You guys should forget about which manager is available this summer or this autumn. The board is not going to sack OGS anytime soon,and definitely not before next season.

In fact i would be more concerned that they are clueless and have no idea what they are doing if they sacked him a few weeks after appointing him and do not allow him to have at least 1 transfer window to bring in players he likes and 1 preseason to improve the players he met

Which Williams? Roshaun the black CB has left the club and the white full back is not ready for the 1st team.

We can’t play 4-4-2 with Pogba, so unless we sell Pogba this summer we will have a full season of not being able to play our 2 biggest buys at the same.
Let’s learn from Pep and the logic and planning behind his acquisitions, instead of wildly trying to buy whichever expensive player is available and ending up with a motley crew of misfits.

As a RW he will be like Mata but a little faster.

He is best in the central areas as a SS or as a 10. We don’t use those roles and there will no place for someone like that unless we sell Pogba.

I am not a big fan of Poch but it was obvious they changed tactics to use long balls to bypass the superior Ajax midfield, and also tried to isolate Llorente against the CBs especially Daley Blind.

Anyways it’s not surprising as objectivity is not easily found on this forum. Because i want Ole to be given a chance as manager now does not mean i should downplay every act of Poch or Mourinho.

Toby A is already 30 years old. Not sure thats a good idea considering his wages won't be cheap even at £25m. Plus I think he'll renew at Spurs.

Another potential geriatric that might fall off the cliff immediately we sign him. I like Aldeweireld but we have been scammed too many times with these 29-30yr olds, and its better we go with younger players and plan long term.

Rather than think short term all the time and keep coming up short we should think long term and buy players that will get better and be here for years. This might mean sacrificing 1 season or even 2 but in the long run will be the best for the club.
