I'm not a fan of Mourinho either but I've got this hunch he knows what he's doing. We did play more attacking football last season than this season but we've got more goals this season. And that's because of Lukaku and the fact that Martial and others got more clinical. I don't just understand how Mou changed his tactics to the point that things got this bad.

Also, at the beginning of the two season Mou has been with us the passion was there and the players were eager to play but things somehow usually deteriorate as the season runs to an end. Mou needs to repent from sterility and lose these guys against teams.

He's still got a couple of years on his contract. It's either he turns things around for greatness or he ruins everything .

I am not so sure he knows what he is doing. When he is begging Fellaini to sign a new contract and he is saying he can't force any player out of the club i doubt him.
Where i can't fault him though is his buys who have generally been good. You can compare this to the Moyes and LVG transfer windows which were wasted. His buys have been good but he has not always stregthened in the right positions.
He also appears to have lost some of the inventiveness and courage he had as a young manager. The 04-07 Mourinho would be challenging for the title with this team i have no doubt but this JM looks old and worn out.

Afrodoc, what's your status now? You usually choose your sentences carefully and take care not to take a hard stance on issues.

I believe JM is the major problem rather than the players. Of course some of the players are not United standard but even our so called stars and talented players are not playing up to their potential. More worryingly there is no cohesion in the midfield and the attack and these professional footballers sometimes play the ball like they are seeing it for the first time.

Having said all that i am not in support of sacking JM unless there is a very attractive candidate with the right philosophy waiting in the wings. The hope for now is that he (JM) somehow makes an adjustment in the style of the team, even if it is just a little more attacking mindset. Also all the people draining resources like Darmain, Blind, Fellaini should be let go and replaced with people who are comfortable with the ball at their feet and have some pace.

We need a young and vibrant manager in the mode of Tuchel, Nagelsmann. Combine their philosophy with the club's deep pockets and we might see a return to glory. If either of those 2 or someone similar becomes available we should cut ties with JM, if not then we continue with him and pray that he hears the cries of "Attack! Attack! Attack!" that fill Old Trafford every match day.

Going by the law of probability it is more likely the problem is 1 person ( the manager) rather than 8,9,10 players.
