So no blame for Azpilicueta that panicked and went sliding in like he should be a skier at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics? Passing the ball across your 18 yard box especially when the press is on is a great risk. If it succeeds you move on, but if it fails you have to take a fair chunk of the blame. |
Very good game plan by Chelsea and well executed by the players, though Barca played in to your hands with this narrow 4-4-2 diamond rubbish. That Barca goal does not happen without Chris passing the ball and it is a cardinal rule that you never pass across your own 18. When in doubt kick it out! So he is culprit no 1. No 2 culprit is Azpi who in uncharacteristic fashion panicked and went to the ground against a player that he and Moses had curtailed reasonably all game by staying on their feet. No 3 culprit and the least culpable is Fab who is naturally slow and was possibly also too tired at that time to reach the ball. The first 2 made obvious deliberate actions which turned out to be monumental errors, Fab didn't. |
![]() So Mynd44 don become Voltron now abi? Make una lose first, u will be begging him to disinfect or euthanize the thread, not just sanitize. |
Lana1:We have been waiting for you since. Please i hope you have serviced your equipment. Enough video requests go dey today o, from something cultured like Wagner's Gotterdammerung (signaling the twilight of Chelsea) to something razz like Skailey's Dadubule (an allegorical description of what Messi and co will do to the Chelsea defence). |
Nice one my brethren. I can see that the groove this night will be o ga ju. ![]() Pastor Elrony is going to lead the mass, Capitalcee is bringing atilogwi dancers, Oasis is arranging the venue, i will import half-caste chicks from the Caribbean ki awon boys lo won sogo. Meanwhile on the other side of the aisle Diggz will sing the ekun iyawo on behalf of Chelsea as Barca PENETRATES their defence and Nihilist will be the babansiku as we lay Chelsea to rest for this season at the end of the match. |
Compiling my play list quietly with the assistance of DJ Ever ready and DJ Enimoney. Going through the scriptures piously with Pastor Elrony who has the extreme unction to administer the final rites to Chelsea after tonight's match. Perusing the great literary works of both modern and classical times in order to create an anthology that will make tonight's trolling my magnum opus. Finally, sipping my steaming jug of Heineken while ironing my aso ebi. |
Nihilist:Better to work a babe than to work for a babe. See your non grata Morata who was claiming injured then was seen lifting a girl around and then making hair for her like those Allen Avenue stylists. |
elampiro:Yeah that happens. He was the major reason we had a clean sheet, saved Ashley Young's blushes multiple times. I still think we need someone better long term but for yesterday's game he was a rock. |
Wow so Lukaku has 4 UCL goals this season, while Morata has just 1. Wow so Lukaku has 4 FA Cup goals this season but Morata has NONE. Wow so Lukaku has 12 EPL goals this season but Morata has only 10. wow, just wow. |
slimghost:1) It is too early to tell what his fully developed skill set will be 2) As a central midfielder he doesn't really have to be flashy to do his job. His main duties are the press and win the ball, circulate it when in possession, and make smart decisions in terms of taking care of the ball. 3) You can't have only flashy, world class players in a squad. Everyone can't be Pogba or Zidane. As a SQUAD PLAYER and home grown talent McTominay would be given every opportunity in the club and you can't be sure how it will turn out. |
McTominay was ok. He helped give some defensive cover on the right side and circulated the ball quite well especially in the 2nd half. He is not world class but he is still young AND his midfield education was slowed by injuries and by playing in attack in his year with the reserves. |
Cruxifizio:A great pity your club once had 2 out of the 3 you mentioned but sold them only to rely on Willian and Mr First Touch. |
Cruxifizio:Better than searching for the sunken pit your club no 9 is HIDDEN in. We are searching for position on the pitch, you guys are using GPS to search for location on earth. |
Smalling was very solid at the back. |
obainojazz:Do u mean that Arabanko dancer? |
Cruxifizio:I just thank Osanobua that my club has a striker with a great last touch while your club bought a player with a great first touch to replace one with brain touch. |
That pass from Sanchez was slide rule. |
Ukaku!! |
Sanchez is exposing Shaw. |
Ukaku strikes again. |
Oasis007:Line up looks ok. Our RW should not be too bad with Young on that side and the midfield although lacking in creativity should be quite compact. What i want to see today is quality minutes from Gomes, McTominay and if possible Hamilton. |
When we said the club should add money to that Pogba money and buy 2 midfielders instead of him we were called names. Now we have made our bed we have to lie on it. The young man has only a little part of the blame in this situation. The reason i don't place most of the blame on Pogba is that you can't plant maize and expect to harvest yam. Everybody in the football world has always known that Pogba was spectular only in a 3 man midfield ( a system he played in right from his United youth days). You then buy him for a record fee and want to use him in a fashion he is not used to. Not everybody is Rooney (who by the way most of you here ganged up against here under the tutelage of Coogar). You have a marquee signing in Pogba who thrives in a 4-3-3 and struggles frequently when used in other formations but u buy him and then insist on playing other formations but not the same 4-3-3 that favours your talisman (and which by the way you JM have used most of your coaching career). Meanwhile most of the successful teams currently e.g Man City, Barca, PSG, Real, Bayern are using the same 4-3-3. The transfer policy in the club is hit and miss and very haphazard. You have a potential world class talent in your club in Martial who plays on the left and of all the players available in the market you go and buy the only one who prefers to play from the left.....meanwhile the right wing is dead and a right sided Mahrez is begging for a club to come and get him. You persist in retaining limited players like Darmian, Blind, Fellaini and even offer new contracts thereby stiffling the development of youth players that are arguably already as good as some of these players. Last poin, Pogba despite all his "struggles" has 9 assists in only 17 matches. He is definitely not the main reason we struggle in matches. |
I don't know what those 2 are playing at, but if it comes to it i would pick Pogba over Mourinho. |
Nihilist:It might not be easier to obtain it legally in Nigeria, it just might be easier to circumvent the legal process. But there are 2 things that Aussie law enforcement take so serious u will start questioning their sanity; gun ownership and traveling into the country with food. Enough elubo and garri e.t.c of people wey dem don confiscate for airport ![]() That gun restriction dey work big time. I have seen enough cases of criminal minded people and junkies who had to stab themselves or punch themselves out before being brought to the hospital. Imagine what they would have done if they had the easy access to guns like their U.S counterparts. |
Nihilist:I really have no idea at all about the process of getting guns legally in Nigeria. By the way, why did you find it surprising? |
A40:The U.S.A has less than 5% of the world's population but about 50% percent of the civilian owned firearms in the world. Imagine that, half of the civilian owned guns in the whole world are in the U.S.A! Then you factor in the fact that the background checks needed to buy firearms there are so cursory they are practically laughable. What this leads to is the state of affairs in existence today. When you compare their gun deaths statistics to countries of a comparable size and similar culture it becomes clear that the Republican Party in conjunction with the NRA have successfully brainwashed the people. There are 1.4 deaths per 1 million people in Aus, 5.1 deaths per 1 million people in Canada, but 29.7 deaths per 1 million people in the U.S.A. In Australia the last major mass shooting was in 1996 when 35 people were killed. The gun laws were changed after that and in the 20yrs since then there have only been about 2 so called mass shootings and in these less than 5 people were killed. This is contrasted with the 20 yr period before the gun laws were changed in which there were about 15 mass shootings. The laws essentially placed semi-automatic rifles and shotguns beyond the reach of the average civilian. Then even if you want to buy a normal firearm (not semi-automatic) you must apply for a gun licence with the state police and in your application you must demonstrate a "genuine need" for the gun, in most cases submit finger prints, provide medical information, submit 100 points of identity information and also get a recognized referee to co-sign your licence application. Then you must confirm that you have gun storage facilities which satisfy the requirements in the 1996 laws. After all that then you MIGHT get approved for the gun licence or you might not. I tell you getting a bank loan or buying a house is easier, lol. |
A40:Dayo will reply with the inaccurate info he has been spoon fed by Fox News about how America has a lower gun violence rate than other Western countries when population has been factored in. Then he will talk about the immense land size of America and about how every man has to have a Sig Sauer or Remington to live in peace in remote areas. |
Cruxifizio:Are you referring to yourself because this your acute perseveration just because Pius scored against the dregs of the EPL. It is actually quite apropos cos he is a bottom feeder. |
Nihilist you try. Ti yin na a de o. Na BOGOF trolling i go do una next time una dey unfortunate to fall inside the sunken place. |
CapitalCee:Haaaa! Asiri Nihilist ti tu! Nihilist you see your life for outside? So na toto Nihilist bin dey call "sunken place" ? Na so the toto deep rich? No wonder Chelsea fans have been asking Morata to dig DEEP and regain his form. |
Morata must have fractured his brain while falling into the sunken place, Chelsea fans tell me it is very rocky down there. |
Nihilist:All i can say is that shares of PLCs fluctuate up and down but a brain fracture like the one suffered by Morata is a terminal illness. Conte was able to solve his own problems with a hair transplant but sadly for Mr First Touch brain transplant is not possible. |
