We have seen in the last few years how United chased Neymar, Thomas Muller, Sergio Ramos, Fabregas and ended up with Depay, Herrera, Rojo and Fellaini.
Man City with bottom less pockets and an attack minded coach with the lure of CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL would be at an advantage when the summer acquisitions start.

I am not too interested in this JM vs Pep debate but Dayo is being a bit disingenuous here. Expectations for the coming season can only be made after the summer acquisitions have been completed and the NEW squads are known.

For example if City somehow acquires Messi, Javi Martinez, Gundogan, and Pogba and United get Harry Kane, Andre Gomes and Kante the expectations can't be the same.
The expectations of a club would be made only after the players are known. As we are now none of us knows who would be playing for these clubs next season so why would anybody set bench marks for either coach?
If United buy Aubameyang/Kane, Thomas Muller/Reus, Martinez, Kante, Matuidi and Varane I would expect JM to win us the league and label him a failure if he does not.
But if we sign only Zlatan and Wanyama I won't have the same expectations.

Defence we are marginally better. We conceded 35 goals and they conceded 41, a difference of just 6. Even the only reason I give us the edge is because of St David THE BEST KEEEPER IN THE UNIVERSE AT THE MOMENT

Attack they are way way better. We scored 49 and they scored 71 a difference of 22
We have no goal scorer like Aguero and no goal creators like Silva and De Bruyne.

So both people that made more passes than Carrick and people that made fewer passes than him all still had a higher pass accuracy than him.

Pass accuracy is a percentage , making more passes or making fewer passes does not guarantee a higher or a lower pass accuracy.
WHAT MATTERS IS OF THE PASSES YOU MADE WHETHER MANY OR FEW "WHAT PORTION OF THEM WAS ACCURATE"

Unfortunately the major problem is not LVG but Woodward who keeps buying the wrong players and signing the wrong managers.
LVG has been a failure make no mistake about it but the squad is crap too. There are only 3 quality potential starters in the squad de gea, shaw and martial.

Jam body and cause penalties? I said it like 2 years ago, Rojo is not good enough. He lacks the pace and skill to be a top LB, he lacks the height, aerial ability and composure to be a top CB......he is purely squad player quality at a club with our aspirations

Players like Blind,Mata,Rojo and Herrera are not good enough to be starters at United.

Last year when I argued that Herrera was a mediocre player so many people were up in arms to defend him here. The only reason this guy looks OK is because the other options are so bad.
For a Spanish player he is technically limited, he lacks physicality and he is a defensive liability, he does not have the energy levels to be a box 2 box player , he lacks the vision to be a 10, he lacks the awareness to be a holding midfielder......and he can appear very unintelligent at times, a trait he shares with Schneiderlin whose main problem is his poor passing.
We really have no midfielders of true quality, of all these ones here now the only one I would retain is Schneiderlin as a squad player, the rest should be shipped out

The guy looks more like another Anderson to me. A bit too "broad" for his age and likely to have weight issues plus he doesn't seem that good technically. Time would tell though, and he made a good choice going to a dominant team that would slowly integrate him without the immediate pressure to justify his price tag.

I agree Bayern is an excellently run club but I am happy we missed out on Sanches. He is too much of an inexperienced and unproven talent to come to an unsettled club like United and make any impact. He is more likely to succeed in a dominant team like Bayern where he has quality players like Vidal,Alonso and Thiago to shoulder most of the responsibility.

I think the hype was justified at the beginning. Followed Amir's career since his amateur days and you could tell He was something special even as far back as 02-03. His performances at the summer olympics at Athens was nothing short of special(@17 most of us were busing chasing anything in Skirt). And to be fair to the Media, with each lose, the hype around Amir seems to dwindle

One has to consider also that Amir Khan had to step up 2 weight classes to face canelo.
He boxed well but it was suicidal of him to carry his glass jaw to face a naturally much bigger man. GGG has 2 options, face Canelo or step up in weight and face Andre Ward

The only caveat is that Canelo in his recent fights has fought better boxers than GGG has faced, but that is really because EVERYBODY who is somebody is avoiding GGG.
P.S mayweather in his prime can make almost anybody look like a chump. Canelo took that fight too early, he wasn't seasoned enough to fight a wily ring tactician like Floyd then.

Yes but this is the major reason boxing has declined. Different promoters, arguments over purse sharing,arguments over catch weight and next thing the fight does not happen. I have been disappointed several times and Canelo won't be the first to forfeit his belt.

Amir Khan is damaged goods. He has always had a glass jaw and it will only get glassier as he gets older and gets more hits. He has fast hands but his torso and neck movements are not as fast.
GGG vs Canelo is what the people want. GGG vs Floyd would have been great in terms of the contrast in styles and their class but Floyd is not going to go against that assassin right at this moment in his career.
This is why MMA is ruling, fighters fight at their primes and when the people want. Floyd vs Manny was years too late, Canelo vs GGG should take place within 1 year before GGG exits his prime
