Are we going to say he doesn't have a right to a livelihood in his fatherland because he's not smart? If it doesn't work out for you, you can always go back to Bariga where would he go to? I don't live in the UK but i have had extended visits. Dayo you need to understand how indolent many of these Britons are. Most of it stems from this system of social welfare that they run whereby for many people it pays more not to work than to work. Then you factor in the fact that education, health care e.t.c are relatively free. You get a toxic dynamic whereby hardworking people are being taxed and it seems punished to provide for the health care, housing, education and pints at the pub of the lazy half. So u get a whole generation of people raised in this kind of environment finding it difficult to compete in the hustle of post- recession Europe with the Eastern Europeans etc. They believe their best bet is to keep the other Europeans out and safeguard their jobs, but many are not thinking of how such an exit would affect provision of goods |

Diademk07: Evidence from whoscored rating? No be dem they give Herrera huge rating for his busy looks? The point is why only Ribery out of the Bayern team that won the league. Don't let oga Dayo catch you with that kain rating o. Who is your oga Dayo? The rating is not the only evidence. He scored 9 league goals, when was the last time Willian scored 9 goals in the league? NEVER As a matter of fact in 3 season in Chelsea Willian has a total of 11 league goals. Is he creating meat pies? He made 10 assists, when was the last time Willian made 10 assists in a season? Definitely not in Chelsea and probably NEVER also lol Yet this man who scored more goals than Willian has ever scored, who made more assists than Willian has ever made in a Chelsea shirt, who made the team of the season of one of the most highly rated football analysis sites was a flop BECAUSE.........? |

Diademk07: Whoscored rating? Abegi! Imagine only Ribery out of the team that won the league? The preponderance of evidence i.e goals, assists, and rating tells us he was not a flop in his first season. He flopped 2nd season no doubt but so did most of the Dortmund squad. You argue in the face of incontrovertible evidence and that is not a good trait. I have tried to help you see the light but you are very obstinate lol |

Diademk07: And who compared him to Gotze? You talked about his assists in his first season but why did you think Dortmund regarded him as a flop in his first season? Because without Lewy, he wouldn't have had that assist in the first place and his overall play was average at best. Who labelled him a flop after his 1st season. Let me give you Whoscored's Bundesliga Team of the Season for 2013/2014 ..............................Ter Stergen.................................... ...Jantschke.......Hummels...........Naldo...............Rodriguez.... ....Farfan........Baier.................MKHITARYAN.........Ribery........ .........................Firminho.........Lewandowski................ How can a flop score 9 goals and have 10 assists from CAM and make team of the season? From the same central role you said he was clueless in? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:43pm On Jun 23, 2016 |
Diademk07: Did you know why Dortmund still believed they made the best decision as regards to Lewy leaving for free? Because he scored plenty of goals out of the ordinary, even in angles where he wasn't expected to score. Also, he was always dropping deep to create a lot. The truth of the matter is Mikhi simply failed as Gotze replacement in the no 10 role. He was often moved around different position (no 10, wing and box-box) by klopp to atleast find the right position for his big money signing. And the moment Lewy (who often turned his simple pass to goals) left, he looked even more rubbish. The debate is Mkhi vs Willian not Mkhi vs Gotze. As an intelligent guy you have to argue/ debate with clarity. In the time frame both were in the same club Mkhi was better, and definitely Willian was not the best player in those teams. Willian does not score goals and does not assist, but he is very good at running upandan |

Diademk07: Like I stated earlier, I don't know what happened to Willian at Chelsea but he was head and shoulder above his teammate in the CL. Same for his u20 team. Personally, until Mikhi proved otherwise that his last season creativity at Dortmund isn't a one season wonder, I won't rate him as a creative player. What happened to Willian at Cheslea is irrelevant, what is relevant is that at practically every point in their careers Mkhi scored more and assisted more than Willian. Willian has pace, power, tenacity, work rate, discipline BUT he is not creative and he was not the best attacking player in the Shakhtar teams |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:34pm On Jun 23, 2016 |

My problem with Mkhi is about his adaptation to a more physically demanding league. Creativity and Willian should not be mentioned on the same page. |

Personally, until Mikhi proved otherwise that his last season creativity at Dortmund isn't a one season wonder, I won't rate him as a creative player. He had 9 goals and 10 assists in his first season at Dortmund, it was the 2nd season that was really bad. Last season he had 11 goals and 15 seasons in the league. I have no doubts that he is more creative than Willian who runs into dead ends once he gets to the 18 yard box |

Diademk07: Did you know Mikhi only had 2 assists in his last season at Shaktar? He was known more for his goals. In the last 4 years Mlkitaryan has scored more league goals (48) than Willian has scored in hos whole 10yr career (34) Also Mkhitaryan has registered more assists in the last 5 years than Willian has in his whole 10 year career. I ask again was Willian creating pancakes while Mkhi was creating goals? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:01pm On Jun 23, 2016 |
Diademk07: Creativity wise, Willian was better. I don't know what happened to him under Mourinho but he was more creative than Mikhi while he was at Shaktar and he looked creative for u20 brazilian team. At Dortmund, Mikhi is their focal player who takes most of the free kicks and corner. Moreso, I doubt his trademark floated passes will work in EPL. What was Willian creating ? Maybe pancake cos it sure wasnt goals The most creative and effective players in Shakhtar were initially Luiz Adriano and Alex Texeira and later Mkhitaryan and Costa. Willian was always forming activity and missed his true calling as box to box midfielder. I ever preferred Jadson to him cos at least that one could dribble and pass. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 11:45am On Jun 23, 2016 |
Diademk07: Willian was already gone by january! That's to show how highly rated he was. He was also fantastic against Juve. I didn't even noticed Mikhi on the pitch nor knew if there was any player like that. Personally, I think he's a player who relies on space to operate as shown by the game against Liverpool team which afforded no space to make his trademark floated passes. The likes of Kaagawa looked good in that match but Mikhi looked average. Willian scored 20 league goals in 140 matches for Shakhtar Mkhitaryan scored 38 league goals in just 72 matches...............there is no comparison in terms of effectiveness or creativity or passing ability. The only place Willian beats him is power and pace......however Willian tends to do nothing with the ball at the end of his runs |

lekkie073: I too will definitely go for anything dat would guarantee instant success for now....what I stated is just what permutations dat will arise with regards to getting either Ibrahim or auba.....
on another note, look at what pogba have gone to become.....if only we gave him dat chance. we didn't and a club like juve did. now such player even Jose is ready to break d bank for. imagine pogba sef dey do yanga to manutd
if we gamble on auba and he doesn't deliver and rashford subsequently leaves to another club and become a bang, another pogba mistake has been made... Rashford was born almost walking distance from Old Trafford. He is going to stay loyal for as long as it takes just like the Nevilles,Scholes and Welbeck. I am not saying we should discard him but i believe for the next 2 or 3 seasons he should be our 2nd option at CF, we should not place too much pressure on the boy yet |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:50am On Jun 23, 2016 |
GBR1: I'm also very sceptical about signings from Dortmund. Only Lewandoski has left that club and go on to do well in recent times. Dortmund system is too setup for most of these players and enables them to thrive easily.
I still rate Mkhi though. I remember he was the best player in a Shaktar team that had Willian, Douglas Costa, Texeira etc. and most of them ended up good players so I think it's gonna be very difficult for him to completely fail. Nuri Sahin was the chairman there, he failed at Real and Lverpool. Kagawa failed at United. Gotze is failing at Bayern. I will still go for him though cos at the moment we really need upgrades in that area. It depends on what formation JM wants to play. He needs to decide on a formation, buy players that suit it and stick to it. No moronic experimentation like LVG |

Dadehmola: I get where you are coming from...
However, i'd rather we get a skillful & intelligent player who can get past his marker with the aforementioned attributes, not some "egun ori" dude with agidi as his major strength..
Mane could be an upgrade on the likes of Lingaard but for me, players similar to the likes of Reus, De-bruyne would always take precedence over alagidis like Manè (hence my preference for Mahrez). Infact, i withdraw the comparison with Alexis Sanchez - Manè is a version of Willian who isn't as good at set plays
If na Payet una dey talk, e for even better. I get your point. It is just that we lack pace and power in that team. If its between Mahrez and Mane of course i would choose Mahrez cos he has some pace and lots of technique and is intelligent. I do not know what JM plans for Mkhi when he comes, 10 or RW. It would be good to get Mkhi as 10 and Mahrez as RW. |

lekkie073: look at this from this point: auba comes and dats the end of rashford......complete end!!!
Ibrahim comes and he & rashford complement themselves giving rashford the chance to progress and grow I am sure Rashford is a good person but i am sorry, i care more about United than about him. If Auba would guarantee us goals and titles i would take him in a flash, Rashford's time can come later. |

At this point we need to move quickly and early. Mane on that right wing would be an upgrade on Mata or Lingard, so would Mahrez. The only reason i am not sure of Mikki is because of our experience with Kagawa. He looks stronger than Kagawa but one cant be sure, that league encourages weaklings to thrive. |

Dadehmola: Sanè doesn't cut across as an intelligent footballer to me - na only pace & power e get.
Dortmund would sell Auba at the right price & for me, i think we should pay up jare.. Pace and power is still very important in football. Smalling has pace and pawa and Blind is a football Einstein but we all know who most United fans would prefer at CB. Without the pace of Martial and Rashford we would have been in the bottom half of the league last season. Some of those so called "intelligent" but weak and slow snails like Mata,Herrera, Blind are have been problems for us. I am not saying we should buy muscular idi.ots but it is not a good mentality to disregard a player just because his strongest point is pace or power. |

chrisley024: If Mane is valued at 25mil then I don't understand why we are not going for him instead want to spend 28mil on Mikki. Adding little money to the 28mil for Mahrez is even better. we still need more firepower so buying Mikki does not stop us from also buying Mane or Mahrez. After that we need to solve the CM/DM issue. If JM truly has 200m to spend on transfer than he has not started spending. The question is are we buying the right sort of players? i would have preferred 50-60m on a young and pacy Aubameyang rather than this free recruitment of an elderly Zlatan. . |

Debroslink: Sire, with due respect, it's better to keep quiet if you don't know what's up. Taribo was a beast in the best league in the world... Serie A, playing against the likes of Vieri, Zamorano, Silas, Baggio, Zidane, Batistuta, etc. He moved from Inter to a bigger club which is Milan, and put the likes of Costacurta to a proper retirement.
As for Amunike, as at 1996, he was ahead of Rivaldo at Barcelona before injury ruined his career.
So we are talking of Nigerians at the biggest clubs, not someone that played for Frankfurt or is it Bolton. Instead of you to keep quiet and listen to people who know better you are here exposing your ignorance. Taribo that played 4 or 5 matches for Milan is the one that sent Billy Costacurta to retirement? The same Costacurta that played over 100 matches including Champions league final AFTER Taribo had been sent packing from the club? Amunike ahead of Rivaldo at Barca? When and where did you get this majestic lie from? You are the type that gives Barca fans a bad name here. And yet you came in telling someone who obviously knows better than you to keep quiet.
