It just depends on personal preference.

In a league competition i would choose Henry because over the course of a season his talent will shine through and there will be goals galore.

In a cup or knockout competition i would choose Didier because he is physically and mentally tougher, plays his best when the chips are down and the odds are against him and he almost never fails to rise to the occasion.

Henry scored more goals and had the more exquisite talent but there is no doubt that DD had the better performances when it was money time and against tough opposition. This can be seen when you analyze their EPL, UCL and Finals records.
Both were beasts on their day so it is a very subjective debate

Mata playing on that right is an eyesore. He can get to the byline and cross with his right foot, he can take players on and beat them for pace. No matter how badly we stretch a defence when the ball gets to Mata 1 v 1 against the full back he would just kill the play and pass back to Darmian or into the packed midfield.
I would have preferred Bellarabi in all honesty cos i think he addresses more immediately our problems on the right wing.
We need someone who can play on that right so we can push Mata behind the striker to be threading through passes all day long.
HE STILL NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SHIELD THE BALL THOUGH. Shebi he trains with Silva and Iniesta in the national team

Every transfer is a risk cos u never can tell who will fit in but in my opinion Hakan is better suited to the EPL than Ozil. He is faster and likes to take people on and make moves at a quicker pace than Ozil. Ozil is more of a La Liga style player cos he is more patient on the ball has greater vision and short passing ability.

This is a very skillful and technically gifted player. He is very comfortable on the ball, can play on the left,behind the striker or on the right. He is a free kick specialist. He is compared to Ozil but he is right footed, quicker than Ozil but Ozil has more vision.
There are good players in that Leverkusen side e.g Karim Bellarabi and Lars Bender. Even any of these 2 would be welcome news to me

LVG have said he doesn`t even need another striker. So, there`s no need thinking he`ll get another striker in this summer.

What he says publicly and what he really thinks are not necessarily the same thing.

I have seen nothing in Lacazette's game to be uberconfident he will score 30 goals in EPL ( something even better strikers than him have struggled to do).
All his blistering pace in Ligue 1 will look average in the EPL. Also he is not blessed with overwhelming power and he is just above average in terms of technique IMO.

There are truly very few realistic options in the market in terms of quality CBs and CFs...... but it is still possible to get someone (money talks)

Maybe LVG wants a dynamic attacking trio behind the main CF..hence the januzaj/mata/Depay positional rotations.

I stand to be corrected, but I think the kagawa/Goetze/Reus combo didn't have a stereotyped wideman or "hole man."

Yes i believe you are right about the Dortmund rotations. That was the case even before Reus came around. But they had the guys to make it work.
In my opinion Mata is a liability anywhere else apart from in the hole. He is a defensive liability on the flanks and most glaringly of all he is not able to exploit 1v1 situations on the flank. When he comes infield he is a different animal.

I dont know how poorly Lingaard has been in training but i would like to see Lingaard and Depay flank Mata in 1 or 2 matches.

Fans gave LVG a long rope because of his antecedents but now he is slowly running out of rope. I hope he won't use that rope to hang himself.

1) Switch Mata behind the striker and try him there. He has the best vision and short pass in the whole team, he lacks the pace to play wide and does not offer enough protection for his full back.

2) Make our play less sedate in pace and play more vertical football. All these sideways passes they are playing.....diaris God o

3) CF with pace and finishing, and a genuine RWF.
