We still need a CDM ( Schneiderlein), a CB (Otamendi or Ramos) and a world class striker (................) If we get those 3 then we are set to make a run for the title. |

coogar: that is if we overlook griezmann & benzema. raumdeuter is a joke!
lewandowski will be a better choice than muller. play lewa as a target man - hold up the ball to bring our wingers into play..... If we are going for an out and out striker of course Lewandowski is a better choice. But it appears Van Gaal is going for versatile players rather than specialists. He said this was one of the reasons he moved early for Depay, and Damian is another player known for his ability to play 3 or 4 positions. If u add Schweinsteiger who can play multiple positions also you will agree that Muller would be the preferred albeit more expensive target for Van Gaal |

Why the arbitrary 3 seasons? The more recent the more accurate, after showing you the charts for the last 2 seasons you should have been convinced. Anyway me no need chart to tell me Zlatan,Aguero and Suarez are at least a class above Lewandowski (much as i like him as a player).
P.S if the stories on Schweini are true thank you very much. Just add Muller and we will give you Angeli Maria |

Will Keane joins Preston on loan.
I just sitdon dey look 2 good moves. RVP is past it physically, we need more pace and movement up front. Any mash up of the top 40 players to have represented both countries that does not have a single English player is a fraudulent one. How would any English player make Top 40? When in Dayo's eyes people like Littbarski, Hrubesh and Augenthaler would make it before Charlton,Greaves and Moore respectively. |

raumdeuter: Marzolini was a defender.
Would you say Charton or Best was better than Eusebio and Rivera even though its a personal opinion you too would admit it came from a English tinted glasses
Keegan was good but also overrated what did he win at Hamburg? One league title? Do I need to say Hamburg won 2 more legues immediately he left one UEFA final runners up and One Champions Cup
In National colours, he was a monumental failure. Marzolini? What is Marzolini doing in this debate? I even thot you meant Sandro Mazzola of Le Grande Inter, he was an all time great....Marzolini is a footnote. wtf? Oh oh you are now disrespecting Keegan of 2 Ballon D'or fame but you were hyping bow-legged Littbarski who won one FA cup title in his whole club career, afterwards playing for clubs in Japan and Tonga Island |

raumdeuter: If it was strictly 60's then you might have a point but Beckenbauer made more impressions in the 70's
And I would think Marzolini, Rivera and Eusebio would make it ahead of Moore, Charlton and Best if you remove your Anglo centric glasses
If na 80's Which Keegan? Is that not the decade of Maradona, Van Basten, Platini, Rummenigge, Gullit, Zico, Paolo Rossi? How Keegan was take enter abi na the England parapo you wan use again
if dem ask you the great players of the 2000's I'm sure you would include Joe Cole and Nicky Butt It is Mazzola not Mazzolini. 1) It was a team of the 60s so i have a point. 2) Mazzola was primarily a forward and not a midfielder so he can't displace Charlton from that line up. Let him go forward and displace Pele lol Charlton in the 60s won the World Cup, European Cup, Ballon D'or, and was 2nd in Ballon D'or on 2 other occasions. Even your emperor Franz gave him props ,he was not over rated. From 65-70 he was the best midfielder in Europe. 3) Was Keegan over rated when he was dominating German Burn this League down to win consecutive Ballon D'or? That is my question 4) Eusebio again was a forward he can't displace Charlton from that line up abi you wan field 10 strikers ni? remove your Anglophobic glasses 5) If you mention Rivera or Luis Suarez that is a reasonable debate, instead of mentioning all German players from Carsten Jancker to Bruno Labbadia |

raumdeuter: The truth is 99% of all English players are overhyped. The only two English players I saw and was impressed with are Gascoigne and Paul Scholes coincidentally those two are not even talked of enough compared to the other Sunday sunday skill-less players they shout all over.
We know the English in a bid to say dem sef get players start mentioning some 2 left legged players
There is a reason England hasnt made a major final for close to half a century while Germany has produced 4 generations of winners(74/76, 80/82 set, 90/-96 set, 2010-2014 set) since then yet we always hear how all their players are world class and would be all timers everywhere.
Going by that alone if we should do a mash up of Germany and England there shouldnt be any English player in the top 40 Winners abi? I mentioned Moore, Charlton and Best for a team of greats in the 60s.... a decade in which German teams won little of note and in which these British guys won European Cup,World Cup and Ballon D'or, You were still complaining. Your winners of 80-82 set were not dead when Kevin Keegan was dominating German football and winning consecutive Ballon D'or playing for Hamburg. |

Injuries were not kind on Mehmet, Btw 99-01 you could make an argument that he was the best AM in all of Europe. He was a genius It always amuses me when you and Dayo hype German players but every British player mentioned was over-hyped according to you. We are mentioning all time greats and Dayo wanted to drop Best and Charlton from the list and put Littbarski . Another time he was trivializing Italian defensive acumen as a precursor to hyping German defenders The fact that i am a United fan doesn't mean i haven't followed German football for decades(from the days of Football Made in Germany), and i give German greats like Franz, Der Bomber and Der Afro credit. I have seen tapes of Netzer, Overath e.t.c Funny thing is i have never even supported the British national teams, i have always been pro-Dutch cos of Cryuff except for the Zidane years when i was pro-French. |

raumdeuter: Sport is also a very risky venture Its high risk, high reward To make it in Sport most likely you would have to almost abandon your education and every other vocation that can bring a livelihood. So if you fail to make the cut, you would most likely end up flat broke.
I know many guys who were very talented in the area always going for U-17, U21 trials never made it now they are over 30 some even 40 and cant feed their family. Some were even very good and an unfortunate injury they are now broke.
No be Etim Essin I heard one time dey beg Okocha for money wey JayJay walked him out of his house, Yekini probably died broke, Opabunmi is blind and broke
There are over 1.5billion young boys all over the world trying to be pro footballers and how many make it to pro soccer? Maybe 200,000
Its like in US every black boy wants to play NBA and there are only about 200 NBA players Definitely it is high risk, high reward. But when it rewards it rewards very well. E.g The highest paid doctor in my state is a 70yr old Sri Lankan Cardiologist and 19year old squad player James Wilson(20k/week) is already earning more than him! chic2pimp: I'm sure you know the reason why I asked right? Not every German Football player is greater than their english counterpart. It's not possible.
With regards to Ballack vs Lampard, I agree it's a close one. Lampard had the better club career whilst Ballack has the international scene locked down. It's a toss up really. What maybe shades it in Lampard's favour is that He was actually at one point the 2nd best player in the world. Now with the Scholls vs Scholes angle, I think you and I know scholes was the better player of the two. Scholls POTENTIALLY could have been the better player but we know potential counts for nothing. It's all down to how you utilize that potential.
I do agree however that some german players are underrated. Lothar For example bossed the 99 CL final at ripe old age of 38 i think. That says a lot about the man. NO! Everything German is better than everything British. All German players are better than all British players, German Language is better than English Language, German Nkwobi tastes better than English Nkwobi and of course German Ipokripo sounds better than English Ipokripo |
