Ibime: He has that money easy. Whether he has it to lose na another question. Na why him say it was his worst year cos the thing go pain am die
Make some of us wey get sense of humor here form skit group nah. You, dayo, and diggz no need am cos una money long but una fit dey write script for us.
Melvyn11: According to him he makes $300k monthly from all his social media platform.
I need to drop my stethoscope be that. Cos e be like say me sef go join this skit game. Next person that comes to me seeking medical advice will be referred to strong men like ebuka or segedinho.
Leyqute: When I saw this the other day, I knew there was no chance we would win. It’s just not possible. The only possible positive would be if we scored a goal. We haven’t scored at Anfield for the past 5 years or so
We have scored 1 goal there in over 5 years. That was Lingard. Going back 10 years only Lingard, Rooney, and Mata have scored for us at Anfield.
Disgraceful from the authorities. Human safety should be paramount. The reasonable thing is to cancel the match and call it a draw to avoid fixture congestion down the line.
BlueRayDick: Cubana Chief priest himself has confirmed it. He's only claiming the guy is not his biological brother (same father same mother).
If it is not his biological brother, then e no enter like that. He might even be his 2nd or 3rd cousin and be claiming "brother" in the Igbo culture style.
Going to Cubana's village to get one poor guy from his clan just mean say Burna no dey wise with him money. He should link with Cubana's blood brothers or that his East African baby mama. Take her on a cruise to the Maldives or something.
popizaino: I hate coaches that like to emulate Pep guardiola. Playing the same way from start to finish even there is need for a tactical twerk is a hallmark of a terrible coach.
BlueRayDick: It is simply because all those teams have moved from the traditional 4-4-2 of the 90's to the various modifications of formations we have now.
When u have teams focusing more on defence and midfield football; everyone wants to play total footbal, surely much care is not given to the striker's department. U see people playing 3CB's , 2 WB's and chocking midfield; it is only normal for other teams to respond and match them like for like. Nobody wants to park strikers that will not get a chance to have a shot at goal because the opponent choke midfield and their backline.
This is a bit closer to the truth than your earlier claim that Neymar and Messi were blocking them.
The truth is that teams are now packed full of midfielders masquerading as other positions. Right from GK to CF na one form of midfielder or the other teams dey select. Even the CBs now are selected for midfield qualities. Then you have modern fullbacks like TAA that could have made it to senior football in England only as a midfielder or a winger.
And it comes down to the craze to all play total football.
BlueRayDick: These are players from 80's to early 2000's na. That's over 20 years na.
I'm sure if we go back from early 2000 to 2024 we will get enough strikers to list like this across different leagues.
No, those players were at their peak in the 90s to early 2000s like i mentioned. About 12-15 years max.
Look at this way.
Netherlands had van Basten and Bergkamp at the same time. When van Basten left they had Bergkamp and Kluivert. When Bergkamp left they had Kluivert and van Nistelrooy. Kluivert left and it became RVN, RVP, Huntelaar. Now it is Depay and Weghorst.
Brazil had Romario and Bebeto, then Bebeto and R9, then R9 and Adriano. Now it is Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison.
BlueRayDick: Baba, it was the era of Messi and Neymar that made those two nations to overlook potential No.9s for their respective teams.
We all know how Messi dominated the national team for over 15 years and counting; obviously it will be difficult for any traditional No.9 to break into the national team within that period. Same with Neymar who was the official poster boy for Brazil up till maybe last two seasons.
This does not mean there are no prolific strikers currently playing in their leagues, it just mean those guys would not get a chance while super stars like Messi and Neymar who can play across all roles upfront are still around.
I'm sure we will see a flurry of new talents taking up the striker role once the curtain draws close on their respective careers
I am telling you that there is a dearth of quality strikers. People that were alternating Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus at one time because option no dey.
And how will Neymar who is a winger block a striker from emerging? Neymar, Messi are the ones that will even allow strikers shine.
Striker wey Ronaldinho no block na Neymar go come block am? Abi Maradona no elevate strikers? Even Messi was playing with Aguero from age group and Higuain was also there at the senior level.
Strikers no dey again. If any of those Tier 2 strikers of the 90s and early 2000s should be around now na 150-200m dem go wan buy them, not to talk of the Tier 1 strikers.
BlueRayDick: If u have time, watch Kenny Ogungbe's appearance on Nedu's Honest Bunch podcast. He shared more light plantashun boiz feud, signing 2face, the feud and history around the song "African queen", etc
It is an interesting watch.
Omo! Kennis music crawled so a lot of record label and new school artists could fly. Imagine carrying CD's of their artistes in Ghana-must-Go bags to UK, South Africa, America, etc to sell
I watched the first half hour. E no easy to watch 2.5 hours of image whitewashing. LOL.
On a more serious note though the PR job and image rebranding Kenny and D1 did for Nigerian music can’t be quantified.
This was a time when Nigerians themselves did not really like Nigerian music like that. No matter how wretched the Naija song was, Kenny would still call it a “haat new video”.
