They had specialists from so many areas came together to plan this. I'm sure the GOC had a reduced part in the planning his remit would have been to coordinate resources on the ground to support the operation effectively taking orders from ONSA himself. He may have been the most senior officer on the forward command on the day but I'm sure the rescue would have been completed by officers no more than captains and maybe at most a major to even ascribe praise to him offends the effort of those who did the work |

Pillar12: Moses Simon said what he said, and we can’t pretend to know better than him. The truth is, he claims he was let go by Enugu Rangers and not given a fair chance because he’s not Igbo.
A couple of years ago, Burna Boy made a similar point about Igbos preferring their own over outsiders. These aren’t random people saying this.... they’re public figures with firsthand experience.
Many believe Igbos are very tribalistic but tend to downplay it, especially because non-Igbos rarely go to the Southeast. The perception is that Igbos are not very accommodating and are highly tribalistic. I've heard many people in the music and creative industry including comedians in Nigeria make statements to that effect to, it's not just about preference of their own but outright discrimination and exclusion. AY made a statement years ago about the way fellow comedians would segregate them when in the SE compared to how everyone gets a fair chancein other regions |

His case can be unique, especially if there was a different management at his time, also judging heavy tribal division, which was more of recent occurrence.
Some will want to capitalize on that to osctracized other region.
We are currently in a tribal cold war in the country . It could also be exclusive to him, he got discriminated against, it could have been someone in management that had something against Tivs for instance. This doesn't disprove his allegations |

Even their brother President Gbola Tinupoo they lick his a**us don't give a f**k if their master Fulani people massacre All of them hahahaha The General was just a GOC the real command and decision making that ran the operation was in NSA office and DSS that I know for a fact from what I have been able to put together. The GOC just acted as a senior officer once all the members of the different units landed in Oyo, the area of operations is under his command so even if the operation is being coordinated by NSA office and general command the officers would have to operate under the command of a senior forward commander. I know for a fact the GOC did not coordinate the operation because it was beyond his remit this was a task force operation under the command of the ONSA |

I guessed they gave money to the Bandit and still cornered them...kudus to our security agency on this. It's a loud one to all terrorist to stay clear of Oyo State and the national Park
According to reports, one of the key tactics employed during the rescue operation was identifying the kidnappers, tracing their family members, and detaining them for questioning.
The move reportedly mounted intense pressure on the kidnappers and contributed to the success of the operation.
The operation was reportedly coordinated by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), bringing together personnel from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy, and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in a joint effort.
Kudos to our security men in this Makinde undermined the effort by talking with the kidnappers, the Nigerian government played the bigger and more tactical role by stopping the kidnappers from access to supplies and exit from the area |

1Alex: Daft statement. How can someone say this in public?
Ai has replied you
Rangers International FC of Enugu has never been an exclusively Igbo team, although it has traditionally had a strong Igbo identity. Over the decades, the club has signed players from many parts of Nigeria.
Current non-Igbo players (2025/26–2026 squad)
Based on the current squad, identifiable non-Igbo players include:
Lucky Jimoh – Goalkeeper (Yoruba, Kwara State)
Abdullateef Ishola – Goalkeeper (Yoruba)
Godwin Asiriuwa – Midfielder (Edo)
There are also a few players whose names do not clearly indicate Igbo origin, but their ethnic backgrounds are not publicly documented, so it would be speculative to classify them.
Notable non-Igbo players who have played for Rangers
Some well-known examples include:
Christian Pyagbara – Bayelsa (Ijaw) – Striker
Godwin Obaje – Benue (Idoma) – Striker and league top scorer
Tope Olusesi – Ogun (Yoruba) – Midfielder
Osas Okoro – Edo – Winger
Ayo Saka – Ogun (Yoruba) – Defender
Bashir Usman – Northern Nigeria – Midfielder
Kabiru Balogun – Northern Nigeria – Defender
Ismaila Gata – Plateau (Berom) – Forward.
Rangers has also had players from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Benue, Plateau, Bayelsa, and Yoruba-speaking states at various times, especially since the professional league era began in the 1990s.
Historically, while Rangers was founded as a symbol of post-civil-war Igbo resilience, the club has recruited on merit and has featured successful non-Igbo players for decades. You are making a daft comparison because he clearly started he Moses Simon suffered discrimination, he is not addressing Rangers in 2026 I'm assuming this was over 10 years ago. So superimposing events from different periods over each other is really daft. |

owobokiri: Get over it.. My cousin have tried to be recruited by Rangers for years but they never signed him. He is at Enugu as we speak, and he is a full blooded igbo btw. ..
That you became a good player later in life, doesn't mean you were good at the time you were with them. Rangers as a club has helped lots of non igbo players to the top.. As at today, a lot of their players and recent managers are not even igbos.
Taribo West is not igbo, he played for Rangers and became a Super Eagles player. The list is endless. Yall should get off the igbo mans dikc.. And to Moses and his cat legs..,Make we hear word ahbegi.. It's doesn't negate the fact that at the time he Moses Simon had issues simply because he wasn't Igbo. He is from the North Central if I do believe. |

The president is coordinating with security forces to rescue victims.
Moreover, what constitutional provision demands His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to call Seyi? Seyi is busy trying to find a way to pay the bandits while the FG is insisted on no ransom, Seyi is trying to loot the state government by over inflating the payment amount. He has already given them money but FG would not allow the bandits to leave the area that is the current situation. |
