Its called multiplicity in photography (or cloning in filmmaking). Not difficult to do with your camera, tripod stand and photoshop software (with the right skills)

Doesn't make sense to me. The image-processing software in self-driven cars detects lane stripes, stop lights and road signs which help in its decisions but we lack those in most of our roads.

I heard on the radio last night about one of these cars in another country that had an accident resulting to the death of the driver. Reason? The software couldn't detect the difference between the bright white sky and the white painted truck that collided with the car.
